A blanket is bigger
Having 3 good bigs to rotate on Jokic while he plays 47 minutes was insane. Nuggets need a center to help off the bench.
Richard Jefferson claiming he “had dates in high school” is hilarious. 😂

Murray and Jokic combine for 69 and the rest of the team 21 total.

RJ is brilliant, by far one of the greatest on air personalities. Ever since his days as Nets commentator I've thought he was destined for greatness. But he had to put in the time, RJ was one of the first players to pave the podcast route and was grinding away for years. While JJ basically came on the scene overnight, and I love JJ too he's one of the best out there too (and these guys together can top Inside the NBA), but JJ deserves to take some heat for how easy he's had it and I'm here for it.
lol they announced RJ joining 342 Productions a few weeks ago so I’m pretty sure they enjoy each other’s company 😂
These two are actually pretty similar in verbal aggression and temparament...both pretty great b.ball analysts so yea clashes are innevitable😅
@@doug5041RJ is brilliant. But JJ’s more rapid following is not just due to RJ paving some kind of way first but due to having both a great basketball mind AND better charisma and more likable personality. RJ’s very dry and sarcastic tone is funny and I love it but it’s right on the edge of too much/unlikable for many people and that’s just going to lead to less followers. Together, they are a perfect combo. JJ better not take a coaching job any time soon
2 allstars, DPOY, 6th man of the year, teammate of the year, a good bench … gotta give the Wolves mgmt credit. Surprised it went 7 games without Denver having a reliable 3rd scoring option but that shows how valuable Jokic is to his team. Minnesota should be the favorites to go all the way
its kind of annoying how some teams just get to be so stacked....sigh...
@@MrOnetedify Wolves have a good team but it did go 7 games so they were beatable but have to give them credit because everyone played well. Remember last year they had injuries, Mike came in a the trade deadline and Rudy had that fighting incident. This year everyone seems to be on the same page so far.

Excuses Porter Jr averaged 17ppg for the season and then torched the lakers.. Denver had a reliable 3rd scoring option, he just got shut down.
The Wolves made the Nuggets work so hard on offense that by the second half of game seven they were exhausted. The starters played a ton of minutes. They didn't have the energy or the legs to run they offense other than 2 man. By the fourth quarter the Nuggets just had nothing left.
It wasn't about defense tho, 77 points for Jokic & Murray 13 combined for the 'others' whilst wolves others carried.
They ball hogged with inefficient pctg, don't blame the others
@@djkido316 it was about defense, what do you mean? The wolves shut down everyone not named Jokic or Murray. By the end of the game, Jokic especially was gassed and couldn't rely on others for help, so they got it done. ANT did not shoot well, but others stepped up.
That's on the coaching staff and front office. You got to have a bench to win a chip, Denver doesn't have it. No way Jokic should be playing 47 minutes and not be gassed. You could develop a Zeke Nnaji or something, or in this offseason find the right pieces. You need a guard or two, center and forward. It should be a 9 man rotation. You had 2 forwards and 2 guards, Watson barely played. They deserved to crash out. The better team won.

Richard Jefferson is a troll to JJ and I freaking LOVE IT!! 🤣 His sarcasm is refreshing - I really need him and JJ to find a way to make this a regular thing moving forward for next season.
One of the best series of ALL TIME!! So many 1 of 1 moments on both sides 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
it really was
It was just game 7. The rest of the series was blowouts.
Just a better team all round. Ive never seen a championship side downgrade on their roster and expect the same result this the following year. Brown and green are the key.
Istina ali imali su 3 pobjede za redom di su pomeli Minesottu. I onda odma sljedecu su pregazeni... Cudna serija.
“I’m not subscribed to your channel” - RJ is truly ridiculous 😂
crazy the parity we've had since the KD-warriors. It will be 6 different champions since the raptors, and 5 defending champs in a row have failed to return to the conference finals
Poetic justice for that Warriors team to get all those injuries and end the super team era. Then immediately after we get this beautiful parity.
I love rj leaving gil out intentionally when naming great Arizona guards 😂
As a Wolves fan, I had no doubt when they were down after the first half. Throughout the season they’d have similar games and they would come out and play lock-down defense the second half. They’d almost give the opposing team hope then suffocate them to end the game. It’s great to see they can have this fight consistently in the playoffs.

This episode is gold!
So JJ, when you get the Laker coaching gig, remember this series and how the Wolves showed composure in the toughest of situations in a game 7. It's because they built that trust in themselves, confidence, "habit" over this entire regular season and faced situations like this thru out the season and closed many games playing tough physical D, imposing their athleticism and spreading the scoring around when it matters.....
So regular season matters and you build that habit thru out the season and you need to drill that into LeBron and AD... There's no such thing as pacing yourselves for the post season... Not this Western conf.
Also, it's important to build confidence in all your Alfreds down the roster like Max Christie, JHS or Derek Lively by actually playing them and allowing for them to learn by making mistakes, grow to a reliable role player by end of season.... and so they'll come thru with critical contributions like a NAW or Naz when it matters most....
And if you tell me one thing we learnt from this playoffs so far.... Is that rebounding matters and physically imposing yourselves as a team on a game, a series.... Matters!!!.... Rob Pelinka and his staff needs to understand this nuts and bolts of winning basketball.... When you build a roster.... Every roster would be lucky to have a TJM or Josh Hart
I really hope JJ doesn’t go coach. Especially the Lakers. He’s just going to be scapegoated and fired within 1-2 years. And it doesn’t matter how smart he is with basketball, the majority of former players who get an NBA head coaching job with no other pro coaching experience struggle, or have unfair expectations put on them.
@@ChidOki I don't think JJ has that DNA of a guy who's worried about getting fired.... Fear of failure etc.... His demeanor indicates, "Let me show you all how much better I'm than rest of this league when it comes to basketball Xs and Os" .... So he's thinking the opposite I bet .. I'm the next Phil Jackson or Steve Kerr .... Watch me under the brightest spotlight on the planet....
To me that's the best chance for this Lakers' era to achieve their ceiling...
Ofcourse it might crash and burn spectacularly given the competitive league esp in the West.... But that's better than your mediocre Kenny ATkinsons and James Barega's of the world ..
@@Murali_bala13 I don’t think any of the former players I have in mind have a fear of failure either. Their supreme confidence in themselves is what made them excellent players. It doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be a bad choice though. For every Steve Kerr situation there’s multiple Steve Nash situations. So I’m going to go with “crash and burn” because lakers are not a well run organization.
@@ChidOki then my view is that it's better to crash and burn trying than accepting mediocrity with no chance of contention....
Swing for the fences.... And it's ok to miss.... Nobody with a modicum of sanity anyway will pick this Laker roster to go past the 1st or 2nd rd of playoffs.... No matter what they do in the offseason.... So might always swing for the fences ....
@@ChidOki also when you speak of Steve Nash situation, he didn't have the buy in from his stars..as opposed to JJ who'll have the full backing of LeBron and AD and JJ will have the locus standi to demand his stars to have a much more active role in managing the locker room dynamics...so JJ can purely focus on the Xs and Os.... Also taking cues from Steve Kerr, he had a crack staff of assistants with experience managing different aspects of the team ... That's what is required here.... Maybe they can bring Vogel back as a defensive assistant and a coach like Phil Handy back to manage player developement....so JJ is not thrown buck naked into the ring so to speak....

Nice words about TJ, good to hear JJ
Jokic just didn't want to have to go to a parade this year 😂
He was going off lol
He went off to play with his horses.
Jokic isn't the reason why the Nuggets lost. The Nuggets lost because of 3 reasons
1) no backup center for Denver. This means that Naz Reid can dominate the bench unit and Jokic is forced to play more and be gassed.
2) Mpj averaged 13 pts on 38% shooting when he is supposed to be a 20 points 50/40/90 player.
3) Murray has been terrible in these playoffs even though he played good in game 7.
20 pts on 40/30/80 splits aren't enough to beat a stacked Wolves team.
Jokic averaged 29/11/8 against the Wolves on 50%fg. This is arguably the best defensive team since the 04 Pistons with 3 all stars in it.
LeBron in his prime (2011- 20') has never faced a similar type of defense with 6'8 + defenders and rim deterrents at every position.
😂

@@donovanyoung244 your reply is more unnecessary than my comment.
Good answer re Nuggets losing: Where were Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr. and KC Pope? They all completely faded. Can't expect Jokic and Murray to carry the entire load.
The game, as well as the whole series, was a 50/50, without safe ones. Wolves from -20 to +10, CONGRATS! First conference finals after 20 years. Extremely ELITE defences are the main thing about this series.
As soon as Gobert hit the cleanest shot of his career, in the middle of 4/4 from the fadeaway, out of desperation, I knew it was over :( Reed again gave a mountain of key points.
There is nothing to complain about Jokic, OF COURSE! The man played the whole match with 1 minute of rest, gave 90% of his team's points in 2/2, collected 19 rebounds. Ok, a lot of misses for 3p, but most of them are shots of desperation because the rest doesn't work, nobody can make a basket. All the best to Murray, a lion's fight through injuries the whole series. Porter + Gordon 11p, if you are must looking for blame somewhere, then it is there.
The whole POff Nuggs are somehow out of their right rhythm, like on one leg... They were again within a bit of the Conference Finals. Jokic justified his role as the best player in the league, some new young stars are coming to annoy him and push him out of his comfort zone :) The nonexistence of moves in Denver's trade deadlines turns out to be the key to the total and absolute exhaustion of Denver's starters in such a physical series. Apart from Holiday at times and the excellent Braun, in his role, the reserve help is almost non-existent. On the other side, Reid played as a starter + Walker, etc... Insurmountable, it turns out.
However, we are left without a "collision" between Jokic and Luka, the balkan brothers...
The jabbing back and forth was solid
When was the last time the Nuggets beat a 50+ win team in the playoffs?
