What I absolutely love about this, besides the fact that it is just absolutely fantastic, is the elderly man playing the cymbals. That just made my night seeing that, and I hope to still be playing music at his age. Absolutely beautiful.
I walked out of the original movie ages ago thinking "Oh shoot now I have to buy that CD" I think it didn't come out for another two weeks, that was AWFUL!
Why the hell is it so hard for these "professionals" to get those first trills down at the begaining of the piece! Not only this orch, but almost every other orch I've seen on youtube! Massive FAIL!!!
Because the arrangement isnt correct. They all use the same arrange made by some guy. Same with most Lotr orchestras. The only correct orchestra is 21st century which performs the entire movie in concert with the official score
I'm sure they did an excellent job! This is a fully professional orchestra though you realise :P Second to the national symphony orchestra here in Ireland.
They are the Ráidió Telfís Éireann' (RTÉ) orchestra and one of the countrys best orchestra (if not the best) RTÉ is the republic of Irelands national television and radio broadcaster, they are a professional orchestra (as the previous commenter said) you should really check out some of there other work, im sure they would beat any secondery school (high school as they call it in america) orchestra / Band
