Tried this recipe an it was so good. The only thing different was I added some chopped up French's crispy onions in the mixture with a little bit of pepper along with a pinch or two of onion salt.Really good.I like to cut mine in squares after it has cooled a bit.
Love this...making it today. My husband and I need some. Today we just wanted pinto beans, cornbread, loaded potato salad, and broccoli casserole...no meat. Lunch will be served in a little while. Yum. Thankful.
Such a good point, and you know what, I do typically do that. 😄 I honestly don’t know what I was thinking when I put it together in this video like this. I was probably just frazzled at the end of the day or something but I just made some of this a couple of nights ago and in fact I did exactly what you said.
@@OldTimeKnowledge I'm making it again today, but this time I'll be using mushroom soup instead of celery soup, which is what I had on hand. This was better as a leftover. Needs some salt though.
This looks so delicious. Got to go get me some broccoli 🥦. I love broccoli. Broccoli is so healthy for you. I could hear the sound real good on this video. Great Job on this video.
I promise you it is DELICIOUS! 😋 Please notice that I mention in the actual recipe in the description that this should be baked for 30 minutes. I have no idea why I said 20 minutes in the video, but it's definitely at least 30 minutes! Anyway, definitely try this and let me know what you think. 😃
Yes, that would be delicious. And funny you should mention that! I have a different video with a broccoli, chicken, and rice casserole. Here you go: th-cam.com/video/Cqyduek_bsI/w-d-xo.html
I made your recipe. I used cream of chicken instead. It was really good. The next time I'm just going to use one fourth of mayo because it was a tad too salty. Thank you for the video.
What size pkg. broccoli and what size casserole dish? I hope I get a reply in time because I want to make this delicious side for Easter dinner tomorrow!
Absolutely, but you would just want to keep the amount about the same to whatever would be in that frozen bag of broccoli. The point is, you would want to keep the amount total for the broccoli and/or cauliflower about the same.
You can, but I would still recommend reheating it in either the oven or the an air fryer if you have a large one, because that cracker topping really should be kind of crisp.
My husband and I have a fall garden this year and I have broccoli. This may be a dumb question but how do I prepare fresh broccoli for this casserole? First time gardeners. 😂
This is a great question and I'm so sorry for taking so long to reply! You may have a microwave like mine that lets you steam veggies with the press of a button. You can do it that way. If not, then just steam or boil them on your stove until they're tender and then use them in the casserole. How wonderful that you have your own broccoli in your garden! Congratulations on a successful harvest!
@@OldTimeKnowledge thank u for responding. I did exactly that, I boiled them. This casserole was a hit. Everyone loved it. I’m making it for thanksgiving too! We also have Collards, Kale, Brussel Sprouts, Romaine Lettuce, and cabbage. I never knew gardening could be so fun and rewarding. Happy Holidays!
@@smjsgarden8414 I’m so jealous! 😁❤️ We didn’t grow much of a garden this year because we had a fence that had to come down and was going to get replaced and the deer ate everything but the strawberries! We’ll be planting a winter garden very soon though!
YES! I'm so happy to be monetized! I suspect it will be a long while before I'm making a whole lot with the ads, but I'm just going to keep plugging away. It's $2 to $3 a day, anyway, for now. 😃 Now, the chopper... I have it linked in the description (amzn.to/3fKxhO8), but basically it's the same kind of chopper my mom has, and my grandmothers have them. We used them primarily to chop collards, but really, they're good for chopping a lot of things. They're not super heavy-duty so I wouldn't use them to chop nuts or anything really hard, but any fruits or vegetables or things like that, it works really well.
You can if you'd like to, but I've never needed to for this recipe. The ingredients included flavor it enough. You're welcome to try the mixture before you pour it into the dish to bake, though, to see if you think it needs something else.
IMPORTANT: I just noticed I said bake it for 20 minutes in the video, but it should be 30 minutes! 😬
You never said what temperature to put the oven at.
@@blindjusticeentertainment3819 Video description has full recipe. 350 degrees
I think this was the best broccoli casserole vid I've seen

@@OldTimeKnowledge Thank you. Coming out of the oven in about 10 minutes. Have a beautiful day!
I would mix the soup, mayo and eggs together before adding to the broccoli, just to make it easier.....great recipe! Thanks!

Use a 12oz bag of frozen broccoli florets and a square Pyrex dish. I hope your family enjoys this casserole and have a very happy Easter!

Do we add any seasonings?

Can someone please tell me how long I poppers in the oven and what temperature of the oven is she never says in the video
The video description has the full recipe including ingredients, oven temp, etc. Its 350 degrees.
Oven Temperature ?
350º
can I add some parsley on top ? You know is just to put some color for the presentation
I've never seen anyone do it that way, but I don't see why not. I wouldn't use a lot, though. You don't want the parsley to impart any flavor.
For that amount of broccoli you really only need one (1) egg.
The second egg adds more protein and great flavor and richness to the recipe. We love it! 😃
3 minutes at what temp…i missed it
30 minutes at 350º F
