"Hanako (c. 1751 - July 7, 1977) was a scarlet koi fish owned by several individuals, the last of whom was Dr. Komei Koshihara. The name Hanako translates to "flower child" in Japanese.[1] Far exceeding the average lifespan for her breed, she was reportedly 226 years old at the time of her death.[2][3][4][5] Her age was determined in 1966 by removing two of her scales and examining them extensively. At this time, Hanako weighed 7.5 kg (17 lb) and measured 70 cm (28 in) in length.[1] Once the scales were fully analyzed, it was determined that she was 215 years old. In July 1974, a study of the growth rings of one of the koi's scales reported that Hanako was 226 years old.[6] She may be, to date, the longest-lived koi fish ever recorded.[2][7] There has been a dispute as to the veracity of these longevity claims.[8][9]" Wiki
I like how it points out that there were several owners. Possibly because the original owner wasn't a vampire.
AFAIK Koi are a symbol of longevity in Japan and are given to babies to wish them a long life.

But another cool part of the story: "Following this discovery, the remaining five koi carps in the same pond were examined as well. After a yearlong analysis, the results showed that the other fish in the pond were all over 100 years old as well."

My glass cats readily take my homemade powder food (shrimp, tilapia, spinach and eggs all ground together and then dried in the oven and then powered again in a blender) and even outcompete my redeye and silver tetras! I guess I've been lucky as they've eaten almost all the foods I've tried minus cucumbers and large flakes(also homemade) I use for the algae eaters.
Also, most snails are hermaphrodites, meaning they are both male and female at the same time and some can even self-fertilize their own eggs! Not sure about zebra snails though.

Hey Chirs, ready for your infodump on sunfish?
So freshwater sunfish are fish of the family Centrarchidae, and are distributed across North America. This family includes black basses (ie: largemouth etc), crappies, flier sunfish, banded sunfishes, Sacramento perch, rock basses, mud sunfish, and true sunfish of the genus Lepomis. Lepomis sunfish are extremely wide ranged, with some of the most common species being the bluegill (L. macrochirus), green sunfish (L. cyanellus), and pumpkinseed (L. gibbosus). In general, true sunfish are on the smaller end of North American freshwater fish, with most species attaining lengths between 6 and 12 inches. Most are opportunistic predators, feeding on small fish, insects, crustaceans, etc., but some like the redbreast sunfish are more specialized to crack open clam and mussel shells. Lepomis sunfish are also generally highly aggressive and territorial towards not only their own species, but other fish as well. I once saw a 4 inch long male green sunfish chase a 2lb largemouth bass away from his nest, showing absolutely no fear. As far as acquiring a sunfish goes, you can get them from specialty dealers, collect them yourself with a permit/fishing license (if it’s legal, check your regs first), or you could be like me and get lucky by having some come in with the feeder goldfish shipment at my LFS. Care for sunfish is very similar to medium to large central/South American cichlids due to their larger size and extreme aggression. Strong filtration and a large tank (55+) is really important for the care of most species. Others, such as the green sunfish, generally stay on the smaller end, but are very variable in size. The recommended tank size I found for green sunfish was a 20L, so I’m keeping my greenie, Rick, in a 37 by himself. If he outgrows it I’ll upgrade him to a 55 or 75 and *possibly* get him some tank mates other than snails

Bluegills are more of a wild/pond fish. They do fine in appropriately sized aquariums, they're just an unusual choice for it since most people go out to hook them. I haven't been fishing since I was super little but they're all up and down the US east coast. Only other person I've seen keep one in an aquarium is the BamaBass channel, though my forays into fishtuber channels are fairly limited.
It's lowkey really neat to see things you usually hook and throw back in an aquarium. Lots more time to appreciate them.
Favorite drink's gotta be plain ol' orange juice or rum and coke if it's happy hour.
