You can do it! Just get easy low light plants, as long as you have a light on your tank and give them root tabs every once and a wile your good 👍

Yea guppy ecospheres are really cool and really easy to take care of , I made a no filter guppy pond a few months ago and it’s doing really well , there are a lot of plants and they are doing really well ( the pothos roots have grown a foot long now !) there is also frogbit , hornwort , pearl weed and rotala . All the guppies are doing well and multiplying at an insane rate

If you are on the borderline of 2 different personality types you can test one way one day and the other way the next. I have tested INFJ my first 2 times, INFP the third, then INFJ again. My personality type didn't change. My mood change affected the results as did the fact that even though we may be one type we all have traits from every type. This is normal. It is best too take it a few times and go by the predominant result and keep in mind that no test is perfect

I did so much research about Aqua scaping before buying anything for the hobby. But I didn't think about the fact that tanks can come in so many amazing sizes. I got a 29 gallon long thinking it would be perfect for the job. But I new realize I have very little room for my center piece decor!
Save it for later :D There is no one in the hobby with just one tank (on a long run :3 ) :DD You could build your own tank if you have some DIY spirit :3

In my experience there is never enough space for all the things you want. Fish or decor. You'll just have to upgrade to a larger tank soon, like the rest of us. One of us... One of us......

I know this guy who has a ten gallon tall with a goldfish. It's not terrible, it has a light and filter. He told me one time, their old goldfish grew so big they removed all the decos so it could move. Eventually died at like, 7 due to a tumor, apparently. and i simply suggested a 20 long in that space, since it could fit. But he just said that it would be so much work. And I'm like.... Twice the size doesn't mean twice the work. And you're not putting much work into the 10 gallon anyways!
Chris that isn't a blood parrot..that was a grown ass Severum cichlid- That hit me right in the cichlid owner. My Ghostie boy would never be seen in a sad little tiny tank like that. I bet that is the ten gallon..the severum just makes it look small..
I am a 1 percenter like you with the infj classification. We do tend to be empaths and healers.

It's funny because the first time I did the test at 16yo, I was a campaigner, then I did it again at 20yo and I was an adventurer, now I just did it for the first time at 24yo and I am an advocate (a turbulent one more precisely).

INTJ. I recently tried to talk a customer out of putting her Betta in an oversized wine glass (approximately 1 gallon with extremely distorted glass) even after telling her what they need to thrive she said, "That's not true and he's been living in a water pitcher for years! I don't care he's going in this vase because I like it!" Sadly the vase was an upgrade from a water pitcher 😕
FTR always a fun thing for a Monday. Even when I'm stressed lol. I have a breeding pair of sparkling gourami and the female has been super aggressive and her caudal and ventral fins are all torn from chasing the other gourami. Even the male guarding the nest has not been as aggressive as her lol. Plus my nitrate jumped from 30 to 40ppm and the ph is usually 7.2 but when I tested it it was more like 7.3 and that's not horrible and the fish aren't acting unusual beyond the breeding behavior but it worries me. So now I'm trying to scramble to get not one but 2 breeder boxes to put the male with the nest and my scrappy little female in so that they and the other gourami have some peace while worrying about the water parameters and now new baby fry 🙃 I'm in metaphorical hell lololololol.
Once the dry are free swimming all the adults in your tank will predate on them including the parents. You'd be best off setting up a separate small tank for the fry or you likely won't have many survivors once they leave the nest. Hope this helps!
My aunt got a new tank, fish, and chemicals all in the same trip to PetSmart. She didn't get a thermometer in the kit, so all fish died within half an hour.

I literally had to convince a friend to put any plants in their tank to get any filtration in their betta tank it was all I could do I feel horrible EDIT: for reference my betta named happy is in a fluval spec with a tun of plants and yes I use the filter that comes with the tank

Well I see some people use fake plants and the tank cycles, the plants speed the cycles up though.

A friend of mine said a friend of hers went to a motel and they offered to give her a fish overnight.... it was a goldfish in a non filtered and non oxygenated "betta" bowl that's a mabe a gallon or less...

Being an empath goes beyond normal human empathy. You feel other people's emotions to the same extent as they do. No, that doesn't mean you know exactly what they are going through, but it does mean that your empathy is so much stronger than normal.
I am not empathetic enough to be called an empath. But if I see someone cry I can't stop crying. When I hear of mass shootings I am tormented for weeks by thoughts of what victims must have been thinking and feeling and what families and survivors must be going through. Or when I am in a happy situation I get MORE joy from seeing others have a good time than I do from the event. True empaths are even beyond that. They can be driven to tears just looking at someone going through a rough time without ever speaking to the person or knowing their situation. They just pick up on the person's non verbal emotional cues that normal people don't even notice
Empathy not a special skill, its a minimum requirement to be human.

I have a betta named Coraline and i recently moved her from a small jar to a decently sized tub with substrate, some duckweed and 1 singular pothos
I think everybody may have started with a betta in a too-small jar. Don't be too hard on yourself over it, you know better now and are doing better now. That's what is most important.
My first betta was a lovely blue boi with yellow fins named Commodore F. Clusterbomb. I kept him in a comically large brandy glass that was about 2-3 gallons with some snails and bamboo. Looked pretty nice but still too small.

I buy my tanks from petco so they've gotten pretty used to seeing me. I bought my 8th today. When I first started keeping fish I bought my fish from there. I've since switched to a better place. They used to ask to see pictures of tanks for EVERYTHING except Bettas. The one time I was questioned I was buying a betta and new tank at the same time. They wanted to make sure the betta wasn't going into a brand new tank.

If you want a small "jar" style planted container that you can put fish in, use a large drink dispenser, connect some DIY perforated tubing to the spigot, and run a loop around the very bottom of the dispenser. Add your "soil" and gravel cap on top, plant heavily, and let it "cycle" for a month. Then add a couple of nanofish. Water changes are done by opening the spigot, draining out some water, and replacing with fresh, treated water. If its that easy, you will actually do it on a regular basis.

(i am pepper from that screenshot). multiple employees told him the fish need more space on day one. we dont even sell bowls, either. on day 1, i spent well over an hour trying to explain that we dont sell bowls and why we dont reccomend any fish for them. he went to goodwill to buy his "bowl" and came back day 2. I had to sneak around and tell the 3 separate employees he had helping him that he didnt have a tank (i have anxiety, lol). the fourth employee was devastated when she found out where that poor betta was going. another employee had been planning on buying it that day for a 10 gallon. When he threatened to unalive the fish, my manager bought it full price from the customer. it passed away a few weeks later of unknown causes. he never came back, which is good because we would have denied any fish sales without proof of a proper tank

I have 3 cats, and they dont even BOTHER with my aquariums. They just liked to drink out of them, so i got lids and added a little tinfoil so they would stay off the lids.
Also INFJ; which actually seems to make me in the majority here. Might have to rename the channel.... Planted tanks does seem like something that would be really appealing to the INFJ personality though.

I've got two one gallon pickle jars with quite a bit of plants.
I use them for extra guppies, two per jar (same sex guppies only, to avoid breeding.)
They seem to be doing great. I've had the jars for a year now.
