The biggest question now is
If the Glitch in Time is Canon to Danny Phantom
Will u make 5yl connect to it or your only going by when the series ended
I guess that make sense since your too far in 5yl now
I'm getting this
Hey guys i dont think it was a good idea to get sponsored by these guys they had some suspicious stuff going on

I feel like more old cartoons should get comic continuations. It's a great way to satisfy the dedicated fans without dumping a ton of money into another animated series that might end up flopping
JLU got one a couple years ago called Justice League Infinity
@@NoxiMationThat was a great continuation as well!
Oh hell yeah! There a TON of cartoons who deserve this treatment!
*Steven Universe screaming in the distance, hoping it gets something better than Future as an ending*
They do! Adventure Time, Samurai Jack, MLP, and Invader Zim all did. Gargoyles currently! Buffy, original Charmed, Angel and Smallville on the live action side
"Although it lacked involvment from Butch Hartman" honestly that's a positive for me.
Me too
Judging from the title cards I think Danny had the toughest time in season 2. He went against ghost kings, an alternate evil version of himself and a guy with the power to bend reality.
It's a shame Season 3 introduced all the cool Primordial Villains, IE Nocturne, Undergrowth, and Vortex, at the cost of Vlad being flanderized.
Also, it's crazy how Danny fought Dan Plasmius only a few episodes after dealing with Pariah Dark.
Bro, it's the fourth time I've met you. Again I will tell you that I love your pfp
Danny just couldn’t catch a break man. 😂
This is the kind of thing when people ask for a show to be more mature. Not
blood, violence swearing and sex, but the story learning to take itself banoffee seriously, with a good character focus, often tackling subjects and questions that many could related to. It’s good to hear this graphic novel could do this, but still retain the humour and spirit of Danny phantom.
Dark Danny coming back and being basically the final villain of the show as he should have been ages ago is really cathartic.
on god, i still dont get why they didnt just bring him back for the finale instead of doing the ¨Phantom Planet¨ thing, it was right there! it would have been easy to bring Dark Danny back, and maybe even a ¨hero" version of his future self to contrast with the evil one, but thats bording on something youd find in a fanfic ngl
@@theleonpasta7336I think there was a season 4 but it was cancelled
The comic made the story of Danny Phantom and how it developed not only the characters but the setting as well. Also, I always thought that Clockwork was more of a mentor and ally for Danny rather than a villain. He helped Danny by showing him what he needed and what he would need to experience to become a better person.
Yeah wasn’t he a ally? He vouched for Danny 😅
He definetely was a mentor/ally figure. You could clearly see that, he basically saved the timeline and prevented Danny to turn evil.
My favorite part about Danny Phantom is the fact the characters don’t reset every episode. Character growth is one of my favorite things to see. Avatar, Danny Phantom, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, etc.
Shows like that just make you want to watch more!
I wouldn't say steven universe
I prefer episodic with time to time character growth, makes them more relatable as not everytime u are gonna grow from an experience and growing in not necessary either as no one is perfect
Don’t people reset their personalities in real life what’s wrong when TV shows or movies do it ?
@@comicbookking3446 Uh, no???
@@maylabrown4584 how come you don’t think so ?
While Danny was definitely 14-years-old at the beginning of the franchise, since Paulina turned 15-years-old in season 2 (she held her Quinceañera, in "Memory Blank"), it's not difficult to say that their year-mates were all following suit, including Danny, Sam and Tucker. And Jazz, having been 16-years-old at the beginning, would certainly be 17 by series-end, if not already approaching 18.
Also season 2 has them go on summer vacation for the school year during “Reality Trip”.
@@thomasraines1396 Exactly.
@@alexandriacollins7119Season 3 also has another Summer vacation episode in the “Claw of The Wild”.
@@alexandriacollins7119Danny is 16-year-old and Jazz is adult 18-year-old
@@arturootoya8914 In the comicbook?
The reason why Tucker can't be mayor because he is too young to be mayor and he is easily corrupted by power when gets hold of it. This can be seen in the episode "What You Want," where he wished for ghost powers like Danny. Instead of using his ghost powers for responsibility and aultruism, he uses it for selfish gain. And in another episode, King Tuck, when he gets hold of the scarab scepter, he turns it into a Eygptian place where he turns his classmates into slaves and became a tyrant.
So glad Butch wasn't involved, looks like it came out great
It is a good thing as well. Butch is controversial person. Originally, Danny Phantom was supposed to go dark and more serious tone in Season 3 but Butch didn't want any of that. Because of this, the 3rd Season of Danny Phantom is light-hearted and comedic as a result.
@@michaelsarmiento3057 What’s wrong with that?
@@elijahulrich2023story telling, it’s the reason Steve marmel left, dude carried the show with his writing
@@pabcu2507 I prefer Hartman's vision. To me, humor is better than darkness.
@@elijahulrich2023This comic is proof that you can combine the two things perfectly, there's no need to give up one of the two
Danny Phantom is awesome no doubt about it. But my favorite thing to see return is the evolution of Kuro's Hair.
that's peak content right there
Vlad definitely could have watched the Disasteroid going through the Earth the first time from behind a space rock, flipped the space rock to sit on it, then get hit by the Disasteroid when it came back around.
Not really, in that panel you see clearly that he looks in the same direction the Disasteroid is drifting towards. What could have happened however, could either be a duplicate being hit by the asteroid - Vlad created to bring his overall lament to life - on his behalf or rather Vlad got struck by the Disasteroid, dashed or teleported to safety and found himself at that space rock, where he then watched the Disasteroid drifting into the abyss.
Nice to see more Danny Phantom getting more love.
Or more content
As much as I liked Phantom Planet when I was a kid, knowing the general consensus of it and further examination of it. Yeah, it wasn't the highest note the show could of ended on.
I still feel like it should have been the finale but it should have been for season 4 or 5 instead simply so that they could tie up the loose ends of seasons 2-3
Yay, we did it! What a crazy awesome week of Going Ghost Again it's been after so many years of waiting! I had so much fun making these two videos together Kuro, thank you so much! Also these avatars are awesome! 🤩🖤💚
0:14 ...did not know Butch retconned on that.
Here's to hoping Butch can't make things be bad any...
Yeah I HATE that stupid Retcon 😅
@@gracekim25so do I. Fortunately we have a far better explanation of what they are from a canon-adjacent source now.
The ghost zone lore was great because one thing I'd hear asked a lot was what exactly the ghosts were supposed to be.
Personally I always thought they represented the spirit of a thing or kind of people , like the rebellious nature of teen love or the devotion.
Season 2 of Danny Phantom was when the show was at its peak and could have a bit more had the studio not lost its best writers.
I mean so much happened in season 2. Danny has a symbol everyone will recognize, the villains plans were brilliant and taken up a notch, he fought against more tougher enemies, Jazz was developed so well as a character, a explore new things about the ghost (for example, they don't fight on Christmas), you had complex relationships going on with Danny, Valerie and Sam, not to mention Danny ended up with a sidekick in the season 2 finale, in the form of his cousin, Danielle.
Season 2 had it all, then season 3 dumbed it down. So thank you Gabriela for fixing all of that. I seriously hope they continue on with it, hether it be comic book or animation form.
I mean story ended on quite a cluffhanger and left open many possibilities. I won't spoil nothing for those who haven't read the comic yet.
Had Steve marmel had his way, season 3 would’ve been a lot more darker and serious instead of being comedic
I just finished reading the graphic novel, and I loved it. I never imagined that we would get new Danny Phantom content after so long, so this was a wonderful surprise :) I am very much hoping that we will get a second graphic novel at some point!
I really hope they explore more of the Ghost King concept in future books. Its incredibly popular fanon that Danny inherits the Ghost King title after sealing Pariah Dark and literally taking the Crown of Fire from him. Some of the ideas presented in the comic tie nicely in with the OG canon and fanon, so seeing the Ghost King role explored more would be cool
TBH, I kinda liked the idea that ghosts actually were creatures from a plane of existence that’s heavily tied to, and formed by our own. It’s always been my head-cannon that ecto-energy responds to emotions. In addition to explaining why Danny and other ghosts seem to get stronger when they’re pissed, this would also explain where ghosts come from, even if the ghost doesn’t have a human origin. When a concept or idea has enough strong emotions attached to it: the ghost zone will personify that concept with a ghost. Like for example: Vortex represents the grief around/resentment towards natural disasters, and undergrowth could represent a lot of different things. And in some sad instances, people who die end up reincarnated in the ghost zone.
this did just make me wonder something what would happen to a half ghost if there human half died?
@@arandomthingintheabyss2062 We already saw that happen, the Half Ghost would exist as a separate entity assuming that the Half-Ghost Human wasn't completely destroyed, if Danny was for instance shot his Ghost Self would still be around, he just wouldn't have the ability to ever become a Human again. He'd be a Full Ghost, like Dan.
@@maylabrown4584 ya that does seem to be the most consistent thing tho I wonder how different the ghost half would be without there human half
@@arandomthingintheabyss2062 Well we saw with Dan that his Ghost Half became almost instantly evil (or negatively charged) when he was separated with his Ghost Half, however, it could be prophesized that perhaps it was the process in which they were separated which caused Dan to be immediately hostile.
My theory is that the Human Part of a Halfa literally contains their Humanity, meaning all of their positive emotions while their ghost form contains their negative emotions, with the secret of ecto-plasm being just that: the concentration of negative energy and positive energy given form, chaotic in form but ordered enough to create a stable form.
It could still be both since the unreliable narrator argument for the Fentons could still be made.
My only real complaint about the story is the literal cosmic retconning of Phantom Planet at the end, it wasn't super necessary and it would be nice for Danny to NOT be mislabeled as a Pariah by the people he's saved over and over again... but I can see why it was done and the appeal of having Danny need to keep a Secret Identity. So I can live with that.
I got to admit, as a person who has never watched danny phantom or even read this book, the only reason I watched this is because it feels weird not watching new ink tank content.
Thanks for watching anyway!
While I'm not a Danny Phantom fan, I love that the channel is covering more of it, and I'm happy the fandom got such a huge dub!
'Matter of Fact, *Danny* was not the one who trashed the lab where Valerie's dad ended-up working; it's just that Danny failed to stop 'Cujo' from doing the trashing. One would have to be blind *not* to see Danny hanging by his-own leg from out of 'Cujo's mouth; Valerie apparently was.
Danny & The Fentons are still at fault for allowing Cujo to come to Earth to begin with
Even the graphic novel confirms this at the beginning when it says that the ghost portal that gave Danny his powers gave full access to ghosts to come to Earth
So ultimately, the Fenton's are at fault for Valerie's suffering
I chalk that up to being a product of the show she’s in; apart from who are explicitly the smarter characters, a lot of characters from these kinds of shows tend to be somewhat lacking in observation skills.
I'm disappointed that Danielle Phantom did't appear in this novel and she was never mentioned.
Might not even exist anymore with the whole retcon time thing
@@dragonwings123456789I hope she does. I love Danielle.
I do hope Gabriela writes more books. While having Dan as the true Final Villain is cool I think there is more that can be done.
Tbh I was never bothered by the "Ghosts are creatures made of ectoplasm" explanation, because I always figured "Oh well they probably still model themselves after those who died"
Kuro the artist should be called Skrillex the artist.

The whole other ghost are monsters thing is dumb since there are like four that we knows were at one point human
As an old phan(I used to be a member of the Butch Hartman forum and Danny Phantom online forums) this comic was pretty good. Art was great and colorful. Those backgrounds got me nostalgic. Liked the Vlad arc and some very funny humor. I liked the emotion powers the ghosts angle. That makes sense for what we saw. The characters felt pretty on point. Love to see Clockwork again(although odd that he doesn’t change age anymore) and the design of the merged form of Dan and Clockwork was cool. Also loved seeing Fright Night again.
I only have 2 big issues with this comic.
1) I hate the retcon of Danny’s identity reveal. I think at the very least Danny should have told his parents. I really wanted to see how the series would continue with everyone knowing. How Danny’s relationship with his family changed, and Valerie knowing as well. Dash actually trying to be nice to him was nice to see. Feels like they wanted to go back to the status quo. It doesn’t make sense why Clockwork had to reset that part. It had literally nothing to do with the time issues Vlad’s caused. It’s honestly disappointing even within the context of this comic that we didn’t see more of Danny and his parents interact. At least Valerie knows…though I suspect she will be an antagonist to him again.
2. Dan Phantoms’s redemption. It’s not that I didn’t like the idea that deep down he was still that hurt person, and that killing his human self didn’t remove that, but it’s just it felt like too fast for his turn with how he was in TUE. Also definitely weird he’s like Vlad’s son now? He’s an adult in a clones teen body so that’s definitely kinda weird.
Nitpicks: Valerie being so quick to jump to the conclusion Danny was evil after where they were was a bit odd.
I loved this costume changes they had in the glitches, but I think maybe they did that too many parts where instead we could have seen what was going on in Amity Park, or developing Dan Phantom more.
Tucker using modern slang(instead of early 2000’s) is a little odd. His instagram thing is a bit odd too, but I’ll chalk that up to weird technology in there.
Otherwise I really liked this comic and I’d like to see more and where the series go.
Tucker using modern slang is weird, it reminds me of how the Castlevania anime had one of the characters say the term “swagger” even though the series takes place in (if I’m remembering right) the 1400s’.
I wonder if there might be potential for more Butch-being-cut-out-from -IPs-he-was-the-big-name-on.
The thing that makes dark Danny great is that almost anyone can imagine what would happen if you went down the wrong path.
The problem in the dhow for me in the show is that the expressions felt dull and and feel like they're just trying to make face but with the novels art style they're facial expressions feel so alive and filled with energy like they can be really sad, mad, happy etc.
While I've always been preferable to the Ben 10 side of this channel, with that series being my entire childhood, I am glad to be able to see some Danny Phantom coverage here as well, since to my knowledge 5YL started with Kuro's hype for DP. I could be wrong about that, remember hearing something along those lines.
The end was interesting, the only thing feel odd to me was that Clockwork was the whole time in his adult form, when generally he is constantly shift between all of his.
Man I had no idea this was a thing! I ordered my copy halfway through the video. Amazing video, and thanks for helping me keep up to date with a life long hyper fixation!
This book did a solid job resetting everything without it feeling forced or done haphazardly.
The novel’s story looked fine but I’m disappointed how it ended with Danny choosing to start over again in keeping his secret identity a secret from his parents and everyone, except Sam, Jazz, Tucker, and their ghostly allies or foes again. Not to mention Danielle was left out. Plus, I find it non canon not because Butch Hartman had no involvement, but because in the novel it depicts Vlad watched the Earth turn intangible in the events of the season 3 finale, and saw the Disasteroid go through it without making impact on the planet, but in the show he was far away from Earth somewhere in space in guilt, disappointment, and shame for how his plan for world control backfired and losing everything when he showed the world his true wicked self.
I don’t mind Tucker’s earlier behaviour, if it’s dialled down in new instalments like this, that shows personal growth. Everyone recalls doing embarrassing and cringe moments in their youth.
Soooooll glad you're talking about this, I was blown away by the art
14:35-14:39 Technically, the ghost dog, Cujo, was responsible for the accident while Danny tried to stop the dog to no successful avail.
I just finished reading the book, it's alot to take in but it was honestly not what i was expecting.
The whole story and it's pacing was amazing and the art style was great and did some justice to what we expected sfter years since the show ended i had fun reading this.
Honestly i do wish if we get another book later in the years but i believe this story was good enough for me to give a conclusion of the show and series itself. But i do hope we have something else but I'm gonna keep my expectations not too high but i definitely believe this whole book was amazing 10/10.
I definitely recommend others to read this if you guys enjoyed watching Danny Phantom itself you would enjoy reading this action packed and emotional story! Forever Phantom! 👻
Anyone else wanna see this adapted into a Season 4 of Danny Phantom? Preferably with Butch not involved because... yeah
Proof that Butch isn't needed to bring back Danny Phantom, now that upcoming fairly oddparents CGI cartoon is also Butch-free so i hope they retcon seasons 9-10 and Timmy's secret wish
They retconned the hell out of Phantom planet
Your hair is so great in this video! (Partially this is my own vanity, since I have a pretty similar hairstyle, but still. Looks great.)
I somehow didn't know (or maybe forgot) this was a thing! I'm dipping out at the Plot section to go in as fresh as possible, but hyped to hear positive things about the book! I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it soon
I read it once it arrived and - as amazed as I was while reading and still am now once I finished - I feel saddened that the story is over, again.
I would really hope to see another GN in the future!
Hand full of DP videos on their channel? Phrasing, my boy, it is truly an art.
I’m buying this book right now
Hope you enjoy it!
oh... oh i love these more expressive little toughes they made on the charachters and they emotions they show, reminds me of totally spies but dp
AND WE HAVE A NEW HAIRSTYLE!!!!!
I really do hope we get an animated adaptation of the comic books of the sales do end up doing well. Warenting a sequel. Excetra honestly would be really cool too see all the old Voice Actors return too. For one final hoorah.
Danny Phantom is still my favorite Nickelodeon show of all time. I loved this show so much growing up. The way the show presented a simple premise of a 14 year old teenage boy getting ghost powers and becoming a hero in the process. It truly inspired me. I fell in love with each character, the villains and it’s art style.
I love how the graphic novel basically felt exactly like the show. Everything I loved about the show grabbed in one fail swoop. I was very impressed. Plus I was so glad to see the characters be as awesome as they were in the show. Sam was one of my favorite characters being the very proactive environmentalist. Loved seeing that again.
Loved it if they continue it. I'm interested to see what they do with the relationship between Vlad and Dan
i want more ben 10 breakdown

Homie that transformation at the beginning was awesome
I was never a huge Danny Phantom fan like most people were. I watched the show and enjoyed it I was just not hugely invested in it like I was with other cartoons. But I am glad that this graphic novel was published and that Danny Phantom fans get more content of what could feel like a continuation of the series. I do hope more graphic novels get published by Gabriela Epstein
I remember when Undergrowth takes over Amity Park in the episode Urban Jungle & when Jack gets mind controlled & he says "Mmm chlorophyll."
I loved this book and would be glad if she is able to make another.
from what i remember, gabriela epstein used to make danny phantom fan magazines in the past
I've been a huge Danny Phantom fan since the beginning, I'm really excited about the comic! 🖤
With how it ended we're definitely getting more sequels to this hopefully it gets adapted to tv maybe a movie/special
This comic was so awesome. I loved it. I think the only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was (SPOILER)
undoing the consequences of Phantom Planet at the end of the book.
0:15 It wasn’t even a retcon. Ghosts like Vortex and Frostbite and several other season 3 ghosts were introduced that follow this philosophy to a T without explicitly stating so within the series
It was still a retcon I’m pretty, up until that point all the ghosts had been rather human looking and could’ve believably been human at one point. Season 3 just went batshit insane.
@@thomasraines1396 I’m saying he wasn’t retconning it with his official statement years after the fact, but the action of what the show was presenting as it aired
@@DigiRangerScott oh fair enough.
Well even though it took over a decade, it’s nice to see this new. Story fix all the wrongs that finale had .
I love that dark Danny got the return he deserved.
18:45 What I don't understand is HOW Vlad got hit when he was in the area that Jack abandoned him at. As far as we know, he never moved too far, and if he did go back to Earth, at least to see if it was ok, he still very likely wouldn't have been in the path of the Disasteroid.
I'm excited to hear if we will get more
It's great to have Official Danny Phantom content
Just finished the graphic novel i loved it!

I've always accepted Legendary Destiny as the continuation for how layered, well written and beautifully drawn is. Dang, now I have a Zelda scenario: two canons
We need a video about Vulpimancer's Homeworld Vulpin
Nah it's pretty much a polluted planet.
A dump site for radiation.
It's why most vulpins expect wildmutt look so deformed and mutated. Wildmutt is a healthy version of a vulpins. The others are just rabid.
I think this comic is like how Danny Phantom revival special would look like.
It is beyond satisfying to see Danny Phantom get the continuation it deserves. A story written by a fan for the fans.
I can’t wait for the next part of this story
No way there was a cosplay scene transition 😂
This video was great guys 💚
Imagine setting free an eldritch horror of ultimate power because of your clumsy elbows.
That is the most wholesome thing for danny phantom fans I have seen.
I just finished it. And since I don’t want to spoil things I’ll be vague, but there’s one part of the ending that frustrates me. Other than that it’s a really good comic.
This makes me hope we’ll get a breakdown for Danny Phantom
Sounds like a fun read.
This new novel as well as the insane amount of DP representation in the new All-Star Brawl game have me very hopeful for a new show, or maybe even a movie based on this graphic novel
Just got finished reading this, and everything they are saying is true. It really does capture the humor and feel of the old show, and it has a very interesting ending that can go so many ways! And will no doubt bring fourth a lot of fanfictions with its ending. I'm not going to spoil anything there, since I would want everyone to read it, and hopefully if we show Nick or whomever publish the graphic novel that we want more, we'll hopefully get more. I would prefer it be another series continuing off of the novel, but I wouldn't say no to another one. I would give this a 9/10 almost perfect!
Damn now I want to read it even more.

And now i wonder if a glitch in time's story will be incorporated in 5 year's later's story ( along with enter the florpus's story to )
This could lead to a revival of some sort like the Zim comics did
Vlad selfishly making a mess that Danny has to fix is both on-brand and FAR MORE in-character than most things he did in S3. Like the ONLY episode there to get it right was Torrent of Terror.
I disagree. I like the direction they took Vlad in season 3. It was very in character imo.
@@elijahulrich2023 Not really, it was a serious character shift. I mean you could justify it considering how thoroughly he snapped at Kindred Spirits, but S3 Vlad is just mad with power and lust for power.
@@nitzan3782 And he wasn't in the first two seasons? Why else did he try stealing Pariah Dark's crown and ring? Why was he experimenting on all those animals back in Maternal Instinct? Why did he steal Jack's ecto-skeleton?
I looked thoroughly at Vlad's character when I found out about everyone's complaints, and I've concluded that he was a Green-Goblin-style character: on a quest for ultimate power, and always trying to seduce Maddie and Danny to his side as part of a side project.
Contrary to what he claims in Kindred Spirits, he never really wanted a family; he wanted Maddie as a queen and Danny as an apprentice. And even then, he didn't want Danny that much; otherwise he wouldn't have tried so hard to kill him every now and again, and that was before Kindred Spirits.
I know I'm going to get hated for this comment, but season 3 didn't ruin Vlad's character arc; Kindred Spirits did.
She did such a great job! Loved this book. I bought it because of your TH-cam video
