Even though I own the studio release of "Ghosts" on Vinyl I would instantly buy this concert.
I'm would be surprised if it wasn't. I remember her live concert from the S2 studio that was recorded during the Pandemic was eventually released on vinyl, and I ordered a copy.

@@KoenYskoutI can agree to that. I know that she is a big fan of him, a big influence to her and the sounds she plays in that part are really familiar with those from Nils Frahm. How can you not admire his work when you are in a likely genre :). And still, with all modesty of her, she is very unique in her sounds, expression and as character!

@@KoenYskout No, this is all her!! These rhythms and melodies are ones she's been working on and evolving since her first albums, probably before then even. Nils is an influence of hers.
Haina is quickly becoming one of the greatest musicians of our time. One who will be spoken of in many years to come.

Just wonderful Hania! And yes, we are all very grateful to Nils Frahm and Olafur Arnalds who are her friends and mentors. Still I can see that Hania has her own path to go. She is already walking on it. With her lovely singing she has drawn up another way to go in this forest.
I accidentally clicked on this video but immediately stuck around to listen to this enchanting music for an hour and a half. I'm still dazed about it. I didn't know her at all, what a shame.

I just bumped into her myself. And like you I am pleasantly surprised. Just listened to Handel last night on Harpsichord, blown away but this music is more dreamy and totally relaxing.
She is soooo goood! I was at her concert 2 weeks ago and still can’t believe how good/inspiring/deep she is. Precious! 🎉thank you Hania simply for being your authentic self, creating straight from your heart ❤️

I realise Hania is by nature a modest person, but nothing she creates could possibly be considered (as she nervously characterised) as 'stupid'. It is thrilling to follow her journey and her willingness to be so open, even if she knows no other way it is greatly appreciated. Bravo! This is music the world needs now.

three weeks ago i saw stop making sense , i thought for a record concert the talking heads had no rivals, yet today after 40 years they were surpassed
For me she is in WORLD TOP LEAGUE of musicians / composers. I would put Hania in the line up with Nils Frahm, Jon Hopkins, Olafur Arnalds... All those musicians give me the same beautiful vibe with chills all over my body.
And I would say to Nils Frahm, Jon Hopkins and Olafur Arnalds to take a step back.

Studio's S1 & S2 are the birthing grounds for Hania's magnum opus'. Her live performances are extraordinary masterpieces.

The beginning is like an ode to Frahm. And then there's always traces of Glass, Jóhannsson, Arnalds, and even Melnyk (the fast piano). I love her work 🙏

I put this on as background music to do my work but within a few minutes I have given up as the music has drawn me to listen intently at the beauty and now I'm commenting because it takes a lot of distraction to disrupt me from my work I hope this is an indicator of how amazing this music is

This is one of the best parts about life, in general. Highest quality of music in modern day, maybe ever?
It's increadible to observe how Hania's music evolves and yet preserves its individuality and subtlety. Great arrangement. It definitely deserves to be released as a concert album.

"Shall I compare thee to a summers day" , maybe, but most of all to classical music, and then it is Debussy that comes in my mind. And maybe Ravel. The same impressionistic approach to music, where everything floates around like water lilies float on water. Still they have their roots at the bottom, like Hanias music. Her music has grown from the bottom of european culture and now it is there, floating on the water like the most wonderful water lily.
The perfect example for comparing is Ravels Piano Consert in D Major, his left hand consert.

Been listening to Ghosts for a few days now, and chanced on this launch by accident, which I'm now watching live I was only 5 minutes late for the start!). This is a terrific album, beautifully blending classical, electronic and vocal.

Hania's music is at the same time lyrical and eerie, rhythmical and spacious, modern and classical, minimal yet lush, her harmonical approach embodies dualities at the level of sound pallete, which is a rare gift. Profound, and this concert is a gem.

I also saw Keith Jarrett live in the 70’s and I have tickets to see Hania this December. Since you like Jarrett may I suggest Rick Beato’s TH-cam channel. He has a really wonderful interview with him and also a tribute wherein he describes a part of one of Jarrett’s albums. Just type Rick Beato and Keith Jarrett into search and it will come right up. Also, I noted that Mr. Beato commented on one of Hania Rani’s videos. It was a one work comment “beautiful”.

Still it is different technics, Keith never looped his music, and not so much electronic equipment either. I love both Keith and Hania, but I dont see how they can be comparable to each other. They are in different categories. As I see it.

I can't get enough of watching her perform. Her music is live so much more 'alive' and intense! Hania does not just produce the music when she performs, she embodies it passionately. Maybe a strange comparison, but her performance reminds me of Jimmy Page. To Hania; I am sure a lot of people were just as nervous as you were, hoping to be the witness of an unforgettable experience as you tend to deliver; as always, you do not dissapoint ❤

I'm in love with Hania Rani's music, and the way she is evolving is simply astounding. I'm learning to produce music at the moment, and Hania is one of the few artists I go to with each realease to get inspired, her music resonates with me more than most of the music I listen to.
Excelent work from all the people who were involved in the creation of this live performance and the album (which I bought and can't wait for it to be delivered).

Hania's music 🎶 brought me calm when I needed it most, and has continued to for many years now. She was a miracle discovery for me during a dark period.
I still remember, I had been listening to various performers play on David Klavins ridiculous 2-story tall piano (Nihls Frahm), nearly 5 years ago. Then I heard her play "SUN' and thought, "holy $#!t wow!" "Who is this girl..." "Why have I never heard of her?" and I was instantly hooked. I highly recommend that recording to everyone here.
So after many years now, of captivating,yet calming music, with such emotional depth, I owe her many many thanks for being my therapist. She unknowingly did me a favor that I can never repay.
That said, I am so happy to see her career finally taking off in a big way... because it it so well deserved. She is also far too humble, and is clearly one of the best musicians of this era. 👏 ❤

I mean that in the best way, i e this is NOT one of the thousands of Portishead imitators we got back then, but more that it could the first time since the 90s someone has created such great art, that then sounds and looks so good when presented on a great video with fantastic backup

i'm loving this new Hania's album, i think this is her best moment as composer, and her creativity is amazing. I loved the fact she decided to play with a string ensemble, and of course with her friend Dobrawa Czocher on Cello.
I can't describe the emotion i feel when i listen to "dancing with ghosts". It's like be in love, but at the same time a sweet sadness, a kind of mystic love.

In an interview she said her father listened to Pink Floyd. She didn’t necessarily say they influenced her music, but I hear some Richard Wright, like in Komeda. That’s a fine piece indeed.
