  • In this video I am doing a wrap up build video of this rad highly modified CB750F I have been working on! I show you the details of the bike and we go for a short ride. Sounds AMAZING!!
    This 1980 CB750F has a 900F engine swapped in with CB1100F carburetors, CB1100F triples machined to accept the 41mm forks from a CBR600 F3. The rear suspension is all CBR600 F3 as well with a monoshock conversion performed. In a previous video I had to address the top mount and build something to replace the rapidly failing one. This bike has been a ton of work to sort out and get back on the road in a safe and reliable manner but turned out great! Be sure to check out the monoshock video I did on it.

      Yea whoever originally put it together had the heart and the right idea but not the skills to make it what they wanted. It was unsafe and not fun. Im glad I was able to bring it up to where it should be for the customer.

    Pretty nice vintage motorcycle! I working on something like this for this summer. Complete front and rear ends conversion from a gsxf 2004 dual shocks and trying for the first time a head porting today. Videos like that makes me wanna hear my engine for the first time, but I have some work to do!

    Rad! My first bike was a cb750F Super-Sport. I never got the title from the auction company and ended up selling it but it only had 110 miles on it. Sold from an old Honda dealership and the owner never sold the bike. Man I wish I didn't sell that thing just because of a title issue.

  • @lukaszM46

    awesome machine! really like the rear monoshock conversion and the rims. how wide is the rear tire from the cbr?
    since you changed both front and rear wheels, are they both 17inch rims? is the exhaust not too low with the smaller wheels? especially 4into1 being bulky under the engine

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't do the suspension conversion but only remade the top mount as mentioned. The rear is a 180/55/17 with 17 front. Not too low unless you are loading it into a truck or something with an angle to get over. Riding wise its totally good.

      @@BrickHouseBuilds Thanks very much for the reply. I am asking because I also have a CB750F DOHC that i would like to mod in the future (i have 2 clips of it on my YT channel) Id like to put USD forks and mono shock conversion on it. I was worried about the exhaust clearance after those mods. Smaller wheels (at least the front as far as I know) and USD forks are usually shorter than stock, so it would lower it significantly. Maybe the forks that are on the bike in your video are similar length, just more modern technology.

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lukaszM46 No problem. The bike is lower than stock yes but I don't feel its too low to function by any means. These forks being RWU (Right way up) usually means they are a bit longer than say a modern sport bike set of forks. You are definitely thinking of the right stuff as you want the bike to be functional! Purpose Built Moto actually has a great article on his website for things to consider on fork swaps that you may find interesting.

    I honestly think this bike looks really neat. Is the rear wheel sitting further back than it did originally? The bike looks "long" so to speak, perhaps it's the long seat with the rear light throwing me off?

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well it has cbr600 rear suspension which is longer than a traditional twin shock swingarm this bike would have had from the factory. The tail length is stock but the rear wheel is at least an inch or two further back from stock.

    That bike came with side mounted rear shocks. Who converted it to a mono shock? That would be a job to do, some welding also. That engine has the exact sound of my 90hp Evinrude outboard when I run it out of the water with a hose hooked up to it. Both 4 cylinder engines. Different tastes for different riders. I won't buy a monshock bike, I don't like that naked rear wheel look. The side shocks just look right. I think they call mods like that molestation....

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, some past owner attempted to and as I talked about and showcased in a previous video they did a poor job. Yes, it takes work and no it isn't for everyone but to call modifying a bike molestation is just as fair as me saying stock bikes are super boring. Not asking you to love the sound, love the monoshock, love the idea of modifying things, or love anything newer than 1985. Sorry you hated the video so much man
