I live in Los Angeles and have so much wildlife in my backyard as well. We have hummingbirds, Cooper's hawks, monarch butterflies, raccoons, coyotes, possums, al kinds of cool stuff. Thanks for the behind the scenes look!

I am an elderly person considered 'at risk ' and I'm currently living under rather difficult conditions in a Southamerucan barren town with little chance to enjoy nice outdoor spaces, so your cam helps me much, and I'm starting to learm more about birds. What a wonderful assortment of "guests" you help feed!! Today I found this video, what a delight to watch, not only the scenery, the trails, the marsh but also your dedication to the environment. This was awesome! Thank you so much for the tour. 😊 We own 25 acres of land ourselves, 20 of it deeply wooded, and I have several bird feeders and have had raccoons , squirrels and of course birds visiting on a daily ( and nightly ) basis, I just wish my husband would share my enthusiasm for wildlife as you do. We also have a swampy area with a pretty big irrigation pond and if my husband was as enthusiastic as you are, I would have a dock, feeding station and camera's set up too..lol. anyway it's so wonderful to see our younger generation lovingly caring and sharing their experiences with wildlife. Good job and thank you again! 😊

Wow! Thanks for the 'behind the scenes" tour. I'm an activity coordinator at a senior living community, and we love watching the feeders! More than anything, I get so excited to see the Cardinals (we don't have them in California that I know of). I've always said Blue Jays (we have them!) and Cardinals are my favorite birds! :) Thank you!

Wonderful! My first thought is how lucky your kids are to grow up in this environment, not to mention the wildlife and us, the public, to witness. The invasive plants in your wetlands is called
Phagmites. It spreads by seeds from the top and the roots sprout up shoots very similar to bamboo. It will completely destroy and choke out native wetland plants. Phragmites is very hard to eradicate. Contact herbicides such as Rodeo are effective.Rodeo is basically Roundup with a surfactant added. You have a neat setup. Thank you for the tour.
