🤙🏼 *Really enjoyed this one!* 🤙🏼 I'd much rather a job with a bit of freedom, and work-life balance, than a job I hate that pays well. Great to have a little more insight into a rider's perspective of this amazin event.
24 hours of longboarding? Cycling for 24 is already tiring enough lol, I don't think I can skate anywhere near that long let alone win. On the bright side, the weather you described is exactly how I like it back home, 90 degrees and possibly raining every day.
Nice! I plan on doing the next one. I distance skate as a hobby but not really hardcore training currently. If I can get 100 miles I'd be more than hyped. I like seeing first-hand videos like this, thanks!
So I discovered this marathon today and have been watching videos nonstop. I’ve been street skateboarding for 15+ years and I think this 24 hour skate would be so fun and challenging! I see your name has Blue Ridge in it. I’m in blue ridge mountains area. Would love to get some tips from you and possibly train!
I am enjoying this content. could you please go over your set up? i got into LDP about 8 years ago and there was just fewer resources back then. i am ready for an upgrade and maybe to go to the next ultra skate.
Yes! this is a great idea. Would also like to know his set up or maybe a vid on his take of what an LDP set up should/could look like for both budget and non budget options.
Really cool storytelling in this. WOuld love to see if you can make it to the Dutch UltraSkate 2023 or at least Miami 2023 to hit that 300 Mile mark :)
Recently discovered your channel , great content and I like the longer format videos. I also come from a cycling background, and love climbing mountains. Can understand that you find flat skating rather dull. I see you have a huge aerobic engine with that 5.5 W/kg FTP. Since you do not cross train, Did you quit cycling? If so, why? Or was that only during prep for Ultraskate? Looking forward to the next episode ✌️😀
Hi! Great to hear, I really appreciate it! The lack of cross training is mainly to really focus on the muscle set for ultraskate since aerobic fitness isn't huge for this event.(Athough, this race I had an average heart rate of 145 bpm for 24 hrs thanks to the heat and dehydration which is pretty insane.) Also some bigger weeks it'd be 25 hours of skating and I just purely don't have time for cross training. I am planning on doing two-a-days biking and skating to try and target some faster rides! I wouldn't mind doing some cyclocross races 😉 but that might be a secret. I know I like climbing, technically I'm a sprinter haha.
that sunset at 9:28 brought back some memories. Can't wait for 2023
Wish I took more photos and videos at the race! Burned into my brain though!

"Nice to see familiar faces :)
Nice one Adam! FYI, it came to me through recommended videos. You're gaining traction! Miss you at the Lab.
First: Awesome video
Second: I had to pause at 4:19 like 4 times I thought the house was on fire lol
Hahaha you're right that'd be a weird scene to flash by 🤣

Incredible & Best wishes for next year :)

Awesome performance. Given better conditions you very well may have broken into the 300 mile club.
