They aren’t using the original manufacturer’s name, so it isn’t stealing. Many of these boot shapes have been used and were popular well before the big name brands became known for them.
Also, you mentioned they offer an option for returns if you need a different size. Unfortunately, in this case, they deduct 80$ from the price, in addition to shipping costs to them and from them to the customer. In the end, you might as well just buy another pair in a different size.
The folks that hate Luosjiet because they are "copies" need to take a lesson from the watch community. Homage watches are accepted as long as they aren't fakes (stealing branding). As a matter of fact Homages generally drive up sales for the original. People unsure about spending $700 on a boot can spend a fraction to determine if it will work for them.
Exactly. I don't get why people are mad about "knock-off" boots if they provide a quality product that isn't calling themselves the brand they are paying homage to. I'd even say in terms of materials and QC, the Luosjiets seem superior (the Alden Indy homage).
@@thebarofsoapIG as someone who owns a pair of luosjiet... yeah they are seemingly better but then you wear them for a week straight and the insole sags, there feels like theres no support, and the leather is so plastic like and thick that you can barely feel comfortable wearing them. I tried them out for 2 weeks, because I wanted to believe that the price and quality was truly going to be outstanding. but in those two weeks of wearing them every day my god did I want to take them off countless times throughout any given day. the last was so generic it felt like I was just standing in a tube of leather and when you walked the upper would pinch and bite, there was so give, no suppleness, no character. you get what you pay for and its no where close to Alden or Grant stone or etc. Say what you will about the materials of Aldens, but there is no way they legitimately compare. but for 200$ they are definitely better than most other footwear in this price range. dont make the same mistake as me
Funny how we're all different. I have the Indy boot and find them pretty comfortable and haven't had anything like the sagging you mentioned. Yeah the leather is highly finished (or whatever it's called. Painted?) but I kinda like the look. I've never had Alden or Grantstone but I've heard they're very nice but nearly $700 for the Aldens is highway robbery IMO. If they were priced closer to my other US made boots I'd consider them tho.
How would you care for this leather? What kind of conditioner would you use? Wouldn't the top color layer prevent it from getting the conditioner inside?
These are my boots and I only had them on my feet once or twice before giving them to Dale. I don't recall arch support, but I'll have them back Saturday and I'll try to remember to get back to you.
They are 玩儿 on Taobao. Much larger selection and prices are about 20-30% cheaper. Seems legit. They have oxfords using weinheimmer box calf leather for like 140usd. At these prices you definitely lack some level of refinement, but overall, it seems really good for what you're paying.
Good review on some nice boots except. I don't have any boots yet from the brand but I have been looking. What I don't understand is why they don't offer any moctoe boots with a black wedge sole.I have two pairs from Dievier that have black soles and I am very happy with them. I have GS Brass boots with the black lug soles and some others. I understand that some people like the white wedge soles but if anyone at Luosjiet is listening you should consider offering some models with the black sole. My opinion may put me in the minority but I would never buy boots with white wedge soles. Rant over....🤪
Luosjiet and their parent company XBXS have gotten some flak recently. Not sure what exactly happened, but popular boot collectors and heritage style dressers have been selling off their boots from them. It's probably related to their copying of Clinch boots.
Price comes at a cost. It only depends on who pays the cost of a price. Suggestion: Instead of trying to argue about liking or not a brand like Luosjiet without going into ethics and politics, why not just openly stating the obvious. Luosjiet generates 1:1 copies of other companies at substantially lower cost. There are reasons for that and if someone wants to buy that product, they should be clear on the fact that the price is more important than other aspects. Bands and musicians take influence from each other. They don´t reproduce the same song at lower cost for people to be able to hear it, because the original is too expensive to listen to.
My next pair leather looks beautiful
Man would love an on feet

Ive been WAITING for this one
looks like much better Moc-Toe-Ber contender than some other, but likely way more than I can spend...
These look more like true moc-toe like the Russel than the Grant S, tho. Except the wedge sole part.
the wedge makes the Grant Field REALLY stiff. Don't know how long 'til that gives.
Way less expensive? Well, now they'll be busy, then. Any chance they come in my size?
I thought the name sounded Swedish or something. Wrong a bit.
These are my top pick for kicking ass and occasionally teeth.
"The welt is flat just like the earth." I've been telling everyone that the earth is flat for years!!!! 😂😂😂
That's a very nice moc toe!
I have the same color in the Urban rail boot. Love it except for the outsole is very light especially for a big guy like me.
Find some jack boots, so you can be a jack booted thug!
How would you care for this leather? What kind of conditioner would you use? Wouldn't the top color layer prevent it from getting the conditioner inside?
Dale, I'm curious, how the boots are like say after a year of wear?
Do they have any y arch support?
These are my boots and I only had them on my feet once or twice before giving them to Dale. I don't recall arch support, but I'll have them back Saturday and I'll try to remember to get back to you.
No arch support to speak of...
#PrayersForAxel 🙏
I've been wondering about Crush on retro and seeing if they're legit! Thanks for the info!

AFAIK from all the reviews on TH-cam, Luosjiet does not use midsoles.

You should ask them if they'll do it. There's a chat box on their website and I've found them to be reasonably responsive thru there.
@@markbradshaw8966 I might give that a try

Bunch of hypocrites
I stopped watching and walked of the edge of the flat earth in my REAL Indy boots.
