Well, the version of this Jag I might buy should be very reliable, and fit on my desk by my laptop perfectly! 😊 This V8 has quite the roar, and inspires jamming to "Come On Feel The Noise" when parked. Those curves just won't quit! They inspire me to also pull up that song by Spinal Tap I brought up the other day (Fans, you know the one! The one with all bass!). Standing at the back of the car, I'd be asking myself "How could I leave this behind?"

Always loved the F-Type. I'd say its closest competitor is the Lexus LC500 (RWD only though). The 911 4 is in a much higher price bracket (despite only having 386HP). The only other contemporaries are the NSX (which is discontinued and has virtually no storage space) or the R8 (which is also discontinued and has virtually no storage space). As someone who has owned Audis and BMWs, as well as a lot of other cars, I can honestly say that they cost a fortune to maintain, as do many other expensive cars. Anytime you went to the dealer, you came out with at least a thousand dollar bill. They were not reliable cars, either. That is why so many people lease the German cars and there are tons of off-lease cars available. Once out of warranty you need to get rid of them. At least Jag gives you an excellent 5 year warranty with regular maintenance included. @@RaitisRides

Grear review and love your humour. IN case the Americans didnt hear Jaguar recorded the V8 exhaust note and its now available to hear in the British Museum as that noise wont be on the street. How cool is that!
@RaitisRides I have a Reims edition and they only made 150 as a tribute to the Reims race from 50s. All I can say is every ride is different and exhilarating and I am in love with the Beast as I call mine lol
MSRP at 120 000$ is not bad for a car like this. Here in Norway the lowest spec F -Type with the 2.0 litre i4 engine costs the equivalent of 115 000 usd.
Mechanically they are solid. The older ones had coolant issues and the first ones had timing issues, but this car has been on sale for 11 years and those two issues have been corrected. However they will still have electrical and NVH concerns but those seem to be a case by case problem.
eh I'm torn.. I have a Model S that on paper should be an amazing car to drive but its so... sedate. The 0-60 doesn't mean much because it's so insulated from the road and there's no noise. No fun. My 2002 manual WRX wagon was slower by quite a bit but so much more fun.
The only thing is, that the 2018 R I'm looking at I think looks much better, and it's CAD $70K *50K USD. You can swap out the new infotainment in it for a couple grand. It also sounds even better. The V8s seem to be super reliable compared to most cars too. For the price of this I would buy a 2018 R and a 2015-2018 Audi S8 to tune (I LOOOOOVE those). Man that would be a hell of a garage already. I can't afford the maintenance and repairs on the S8, so I'm being realistic and hunting for a C8 A6 Wagon and tuning that instead (only goes to 450 hp. Only stg1 shelf tune available). I have a C7 A6 at 500 hp with Bilstein coilovers right now and will miss the supercharged engine. I don't really want the new one, but the rest of the car is improved.
Thanks a lot for this greatly insightful report on such an iconic car from a classy British brand. However, it is so damn sad to learn that Jaguar bids farewell to traditional drive concepts by going fully electric. This sports car may run the risk of loses all its elegance, glam and style when it turns out to be fullly electric. Especially flashy sports cars are not just simply driven, they need to be felt instead. And the sound of those gorgeously powerful engines are such a quintessential component to an intense arousal of a sensation that is so hard to describe.
Hi Joe, i love this colour, far too many luxury marques use greys and whites. But i would like to see the reliability improve before i put my money out there
Been more reliable than two 911's for me. Just saying....and a honda crv. These cars are BOSCH, bilstein, TRW, Leer underneath....as reliable as anything out there frankly.
It is the very last 1 before going full electric which is why i think they put 120K on it, so i guess its worth it because of that but if it wasnt due to the circumstances, I'd just get a Porsche or Aston
The higher spec versions of this car have been this price forever, going electric aside. Depreciation aside, this car stands up well against the competition for what you get for the money. It just does. On top of that, the reliability of this particular latest generation car is fine. The kinks are out, the problems are known, etc…

What relevance does that have to anything though?
@@xXxlLEGENDZlxXx Tata group owns Jaguar now. It's helping them grow. They may be able to make such cars. Tata is a huge group. Few people know that. It's relevant, as Jaguar coud have gone, but that has not happened due to support from Tata.
@@xXxlLEGENDZlxXx Tata is a big industrail group in India. They now own Jaguar. I thought the relevance is this- Jaguar was suffering financially so Tata group helped them survive. This probably helped us see this lovely machine. I hope that helps.
Pretty darn good and fun review man..
What’s the risk when buying a new car with a warranty?
The risk of it being in the service dept all the time
As someone who has owned Audis and BMWs, as well as a lot of other cars, I can honestly say that they cost a fortune to maintain, as do many other expensive cars.
I test drove one 3 days ago and I was extremely underwhelmed. I daily drive a c7 z06 and I was looking to replace it. This feels slow compared to it
jaguar is possibly one of the best sounding sports car that's below 100k. the top 3 in my opinion is the f type, lexus lc500, and the c63 amg
They really are!
@@RaitisRides thank you so much for the reply, im a huge huge fan. i had a really bad day, and your reply just made me so happy. can't wait for the next video😀
Not a car expert but is it wise buying a USED F TYPE if they are discontinuing it? Or is it risky?
Grear review and love your humour. IN case the Americans didnt hear Jaguar recorded the V8 exhaust note and its now available to hear in the British Museum as that noise wont be on the street. How cool is that!
Thank you Karen for letting me share the laughs with you! That is really cool info!
@RaitisRides I have a Reims edition and they only made 150 as a tribute to the Reims race from 50s. All I can say is every ride is different and exhilarating and I am in love with the Beast as I call mine lol
I'm here for the "oh crap" handle.
Have the 2022 version, smile every time I drive it
MSRP at 120 000$ is not bad for a car like this.
Here in Norway the lowest spec F -Type with the 2.0 litre i4 engine costs the equivalent of 115 000 usd.
This is the only out of date interior sports car I will buy.
Amazing review Joe.
I appreciate you taking the time to say that.
2024 Jaguar F-Type R 5.0L Supercharged V8 8-Speed Automatic 75 Special Edition Coupe!
This version seems quieter? Did they change the exhaust
Best in the biz car reviews
Beautiful! about the same color as my old 91 GTA
☮
Oh man I remember those GTAs
@@RaitisRides ya they were nice! mine had the 5 spd manual too 😁
If you can afford the car then you shouldn't have any excuse on affording its maintenance !
Very great point
At 10:38 the car squatting to launch...SICK AS FCK !!! JOE IIS THE SICKEST VLOGGER IN CARLAND !!! TO ALL ELSE ZONK ZONK !
Thanks for having my back!
Great design , eargasmic sound , exquisite interior but it's a Jaguar and that's kind of a risk.
Trust me I know how you feel
Mechanically they are solid. The older ones had coolant issues and the first ones had timing issues, but this car has been on sale for 11 years and those two issues have been corrected. However they will still have electrical and NVH concerns but those seem to be a case by case problem.
@@dawhiteman1451 Even the electrics are improved in the latest iterations since they switched to Bosch as the supplier.
eh I'm torn..
Thanks for sharing that great insight!
Nothing devalues faster than a jaguar/Land Rover product….
Let me guess? Haven't finished the review, so same engine with 575 hp, right?
Yep
Ayyyyooo. 3:38 caught me off guard. LOL
I love bringing the surprises!
When Joe has that kind of fun, its approved 100%.
Believe the new range rovers use navigation to adjust suspension based upon upcoming terrain types, I need t search back for my training to verify
Front facing cameras should be mandatory, especially for anything costing $125k!
Does it have original or larger wheels such as 21''/22''?
Question before the video - what’s the risk ??
very good cars if one can afford. Worked at JLR most of 2023
God…..I wish I could afford this car. 😢
This is the EXACT exterior/interior color combination I would get as well.
Truly a tragic time for all of us as fans of these cars, seeing them being canceled left and right to be replaced by soulless smartphones on wheels
Joe and Lori and Steve and keep up the good work and I love the video 👏
Electrification. The death of a legend
Joe, does this car have wireless AndroidAuto or it needs a wire?
I'm getting that Z06 for sure. 120k for this is crazy!
I definitely will have one of this jaguar...❤
Thanks a lot for this greatly insightful report on such an iconic car from a classy British brand. However, it is so damn sad to learn that Jaguar bids farewell to traditional drive concepts by going fully electric. This sports car may run the risk of loses all its elegance, glam and style when it turns out to be fullly electric. Especially flashy sports cars are not just simply driven, they need to be felt instead. And the sound of those gorgeously powerful engines are such a quintessential component to an intense arousal of a sensation that is so hard to describe.
And people really think EVs will replace this type of experience?
Good luck... 😂
I am ride there with you!
You didn't say anything about heated/ventilated seats.
It’s worth it!
Hi Joe, i love this colour, far too many luxury marques use greys and whites. But i would like to see the reliability improve before i put my money out there
That is an excellent point!
Been more reliable than two 911's for me. Just saying....and a honda crv. These cars are BOSCH, bilstein, TRW, Leer underneath....as reliable as anything out there frankly.
going all electric. Looks like I'll never buy another Jag
I have a 05 a XK8, and would love to have the last year of the gasoline powered engine.
Good Video. You could tell us all that info standing in back of the car. Just a friendly note.
Another one 🔥
Thanks my friend
A supercharger delete option would be great
???
It is the very last 1 before going full electric which is why i think they put 120K on it, so i guess its worth it because of that but if it wasnt due to the circumstances, I'd just get a Porsche or Aston
The higher spec versions of this car have been this price forever, going electric aside. Depreciation aside, this car stands up well against the competition for what you get for the money. It just does. On top of that, the reliability of this particular latest generation car is fine. The kinks are out, the problems are known, etc…
