    www.cancerfoundation.com/about...
Natural Killer Cells are the most aggressive white cells in the immune system. They make up about 5% to 15% of the total lymphocyte circulating population. They target tumor cell and protect against a wide variety of infectious microbes. Natural Killer Cells are a very important factor in the fight against cancer. Immune Stimulation is the key to keeping the white blood cell count high and giving the Natural Killer Cells a chance to fight cancer and other diseases. No need to look further for heroes, they are inside everyone. They are always fighting countless battles without us noticing. The only reward we can give is to live healthy to lessen their burden which also benefits us. When the time comes that they lose the battle, we fall alongside them. So take care of your body and don't let the invaders win, defend your kingdom 👊

These other WBCs are things like Eosinophils, Neutrophils, Basophils, Monocytes, and Macrophages. They all have unique roles in the bodies immune system and special ways of destroying the pathogens they come in contact with. For example, macrophages eat stuff.

Actually, Natural Killer cells are a very specific type of white blood cell (WBC). WBCs are divided into a number of types that have various functions. NK cells are from the lymphocyte family, which is one class of WBC. There are also B, T, and cytotoxic T cells that are in the lymphocyte family. B cells mainly produce antibodies, T cells help activate your immune system. NK cells help fight viruses and any pathogens that get inside your cells. Other types of WBCs have other purposes.

@flammapurita no, NK cell isn't CTL lymphocyte. NK cells belong to the innate immunity sistem, like macrophages and neutrophiles. They are morphologically lymphocytes but they haven't immunoglobulinic or anthygene receptors like T cells or B cells do :) B and T cells belong to specific immunity system.

@BeyondPaperChase No. They are two different types of T cells.
    Natural killer
Natural killer T cells (NKT cells) are a special kind of lymphocyte that bridges the adaptive immune system with the innate immune system.
    Cytotoxic
Cytotoxic T cells (TC cells, or CTLs) destroy virally infected cells and tumor cells, and are also implicated in transplant rejection. These cells are also known as CD8+ T cells since they express the CD8 glycoprotein at their surface.
    they are different! good ques.
