    Great looking build! I'm building mine right now, it looks like we've got the same PID.

    The SSR only breaks one leg on the 220 volt. The other relay breaks both legs making it safe.

    The safety switch was bought on Ebay. It is a plunger type limit switch. It breaks the 24 volt signal to the relay. Sorry no plans.

    Well thought out design, and assembly. How well does your oven approach and maintain, say 2150 deg F? Do you have a door seal, or is it brick to brick? Do you feel your element selection (gauge, diameter, current draw, length) is just right, or to big/small, for the oven size? Would you do anything differently? I'm currently replacing my smaller oven with a new build of 8"x8"x20", with argon purge. Just curious if you are satisfied with your design. Thank you.

    Why do you have two relais inside the electric box? Why don't you turn the elements on and off with the solid state relais?

    Those 5 grey looking things with the wires going into them, are those terminals or what are they called and is that something I can find at home depot? thanks

    What gauge of kanthal wire did you buy? Thermocouple from same website or arbor also? Running on a 30 amp ssr? Is there something you would like to change? And what are you using to heat your oil?

    Can you draw up a wiring diagram for this? I'm confused how this is wired and I wanted to make something similar to yours. Thanks!

    Sorry to keep bugging ya, your parts list shows a 120v relay...so I'm guessing your main switch is 120v not 24v? Where would the 24v power come from? I'm guessing you could split the 240v and send 120v leg to the main relay...Again, sorry to keep asking questions, I cant find a diagram, and I'm tying to wrap my head around this..

    where you buy your limit switch? I'd like me one of them heavy-duty ones too, please! :D

    Sorry it's all 120 volt control wiring. Even the LED switch. I brought a neutral over from the panel and used one leg of the 220. That's why there are two small fuses on the front of the panel.

    220 from Budget Casting, Thermocouple from Arbor, 30 Amp SSR, No, electric hot water heating element from Home Depot.

    Is the LED switch from automation direct 24v working off the relay?

    • @airbalancer23
      @airbalancer23  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the switch turns the main relay on. It's wired in series with the door safety switch, so both need to be engaged.

      Awesome! Thanks..I was wondering if I could do that..any special relay needed?
