Hi Sarin. Am Joe from the U.S.A., and in the State Of Maine. As a degreed and experienced electronics technician, I have made many units of various items work just by soldering cold joints and pins! You are an excellent teacher, and you just need a good inventory of parts, and Digikey and Mouser are excellent distributors! God Bless you, your work, and family! 😊
Sorins boring jobs are the jobs we want too see lol. Ty Sorin , any job you do is great 👍 and we’re lucky too have a professional like you helping us out.
watching your videos is like watching a mystery movie. At the end of the story, you will solved the case. Glad to have found your videos. Though I am an Electronic Engineer, I have long abandoned electronics. Your videos make me realize , not to waste the electronics knowledge
It's funny to think that some of the best ASMR videos are of some Eastern European guy in the back of a market somewhere in the UK, fixing electronics. Really informative stuff, and he has some great dialogue.
I bought the ts100 because it had more power. I’m able to solder even car starter wire with it. But the ts80 is more than good enough for smd repairs. I like your vids. Keep going. I learned much by watching you fix things here. I am retired because of health issue and this is a new hobby for me now thanks to your vids.
hello sir, this work flow is still and always a good way of learning...pls keep posting workflow jobs it is not boring it is always interesting....Pls guys support workflow jobs
Thank you Sorin for this video. Now I know how to remove iCloud on these iDevices. Thank you so so much. This has always been a problem we couldn't fix.
Mr. Sorin I have being following you for the past 2yrs with no comments or likes But am forced to comment because you didn't invite us, when eating your Gregg's cookies😀😁😊. I am Amos from Ghana and I have always love how you repairs even though am trying very hard to repair with schematic diagram. Nice work flow today.
always enjoy your videos, thank you. Had to laugh at your complaints of a "heat wave" especially living here in tropical high humidity Queensland Australia!
Because of your videos, I partially fixed my galaxy note 4 which was dead for 2 years and repair shops couldnt fix it. There was a short in a capacitor. used camera on other phone to zoom in and removed it. Phone boots and functions normally, but display got a problem. It was not workng, just brownish with no picture but touch works, cleaned contacts and started again. picture worked only on low brightness and high brightness maakes it brown. Touch didnt worked and only stylus worked. Cleaned it again, display again gone but touch working. So confused at this points. If you can help then thanks otherwise LOVE YOU!!!!! You the MVP thanks aloooot
Even some time is gone but I like to add a small simple fix for you for those "broken" connectors like at the camera connector. You can simply add a thin paper on top of the cam-cable to bring some more force to the connector. Did it more then one time now, especially for laptop-keyboards. Many are broken because stupid guys broke it by "disassembly" mwybe it will help you as well ☺️
About the acer tab next time you can put a lot of kapton tape on the connector and make a tower from it and then the camera's connection will sit under pressure (love your vid)
Nice video ,perfect lenght for covering the weekend ,I splitted It on Saturday/Sunday , you talked about the heat and humidity , I live in the swamp and Next wednesday begins the cinema festival that ends on the 7th September , I will post on comments the movies for Next year
I sometimes repaired the Acer with a camera problem due to a broken connector by sticking a draft strip or something springy on the connector or place where some pressure was needed and mounting it closed, so that the draft strip was pressed together and then pressing the connector came.
I play Overwatch. There is hero called Tracer which is from UK. They added nice voiceline which she is saying: "Bit dodgy do you think?" I'm hearing this in my mind as soon I saw the hot glue.😆
Suggestion my brother, small magnetic mat, then use mat as template and lay out the screws on mat where they came out from.... just keep hard drives away from it...lol
You do an expert job , just i wished that you did a test of connectivity of all those pins one by one with the end points near using multi-meter then change the hole port cause it seems that more pins are cracked, and your telescope doesn't show it clearly . i wished to work with you as a student for free to learn and get experience
I watch Louis Rossmann but he only fixes macbooks. Your channel is great as it shows repair of all kinds of devices which is much harder because you don''t have all kinds of spare parts, schematics and previous repair knowledge on same type of devices.
Hello, i see you still did not get a new solder iron, myself i am using a Solomon soldering iron SL-20 for more than 25 years now, my first adjustable temperature iron, i got only some minor problem as broken cable and power switch, the heating element still be original, the case has a small crack but falled down about 3 times ..., they still sell it for 75€ including VAT, it is easy to by spare iron handle and tips, anyway i am not sure about the actual quality of this product, around here it has been much used in electronic schools. I just discovered a version combination with a desoldering iron SL-916D more expensive of course.
if the customer is willing to pay good money, I would change the camera socket. i had the same problem with iPad home key socket which was broken just like this one and I had to change the socket and it worked just fine.
You have a good job, very very good job ! I love fix all of componants, tablet, tv, phone, pc...but i'm not a pro. I have one tablet, i can't fix, this is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8", no power, nothing, just the battery is good and the port of charge is good, i think it's not the screen, i think it's a motherboard problem but i don't now where is the problem :D Sorry for my english, i'm french and i'm very bad in english.
Hello Sorín, I have a doubt in the repair of the Samsung Tablet, at first shows a consumption of 0.4 A, should always give you a higher consumption over 1.3 A, and for this you know that there must be a connection problem in the data signal?. Thank you for all your videos.Best regards.
I have a dell Latitude e6500. Primary battery failed charging. The laptop turns on only when the battery and the charger are plugged in . if you remove the battery and use the charger alone the laptop turns on for few seconds then turns off. The bios doesn't detect the charger. The charge control ic maxim 8731ae has some corrosion around it..... What can be some possible issues?
Help...i have a board with a powerful short on the 19 power rail. It looks like all the board is in short. No matter where i use the power supply 3.3 or 5 or 19 v the result is the same.....short, powerful one. Nothing is getting hot. It could be the processor? Or the board inside. Multumesc Sorin...un fan 😁
As a technician l thought l am number one in Africa but by watching your vedios ,l have realised that if you come to where l am working I will be definetely fired kkkkk
Sorin. Your repairs are never boring, could watch you work all day. Would probably want to get involved though. Thanks again.

Sorin you are up very late, great video, i learn so much from you 👍🏻
the camera connection tab you can put a plastic paper sandwiched in between ... i tried it and worked most of the time
11:17 That's fantastic - that was pretty much me when something isn't working like it is supposed to be.
Hey I’m happy you managed to get a copy from Paul Daniels. Like you say super nice guy.
Great video! You have inspired me to add these types of repairs to my I.T. business.

I have been sniffing soldering irons to see if they are hot since 1970 and I still have'nt learnt that they can burn your nose!😁
I saw that too..checkin the temperature by nose...but he's right..you feel the smell of a hot iron!
Good Job MR.! :)
I live in south africa ,Limpopo here in summer it is normal to have 29 to 36 degrees heat.

So is there not any risk of over charging/fire/damage from shorting data line? like it won't stop charging even when charged?
You forgot to put back the MicroSD card for prev tablet.
Yeah i cringed at that part. He even moved it! Could have priceless family photos on there! 😥
And the gifted card on Canon camera?

just do a test live stream and we will see the resault, maybe it will be enough... who knows...
Why don`t you just read the bios chip and remove the efi lock and reprogram the bios? by replacing the bios chip you lose the serial number
Shorting datalines may mean you cannot use the usb cable to transfer data, right ?
I think that this is true.. a tablet without USB transfers.... Is not a good repair..
@@laboratorioassembler may be, but if customer needs no data transfer, it is better to be able to charge at least.
@@thomasw6169 Yep... and looking at the cheap tablet... maybe can be used to read emails... and watch TH-cam videos.

yes Bank holidays are the best because we celebrate how rich they are. Go Banks!
If the camera problem is the connector, why didn’t you just order one and replace it?
Where did you get your multimeter leads from?
Sorin, I have just started watching you , where are you from? Just curious. Thanks so much.
You update the main camera? I see good quality 2560x1430@30fps :) On 4K tv is OK.
This is old now :p
You connect the screen while it was on?
