    I am so glad to hear that the rifaximin antibiotic doesn’t kill off the good gut bacteria. The one my doctor put me on that only targets the small intestine and doesn’t go into the bloodstream like rifaximin is called Alinia. I did great on it with no side effects other than the right urine which is common. Took care of the Seebo, but three months later, I have candida fungal overgrowth and SIBO is back so now I’m gonna ask for the rifaximin. After I healed, I went back to eating a lot of gluten and sugars and with slow motility, those things definitely constipating me more and contributed to my relapse. Hard lesson learned

    This is the best vid I have seen on my mystery Colic! Consistently I wake about 4 hours after going to sleep - pain!!!!
    Oregano does help, so I will combine it with other ideas you suggested. SIBO test sounds important.
    And I find Green vegetables make it worse - so the Oxalate issue made sense to me - NO greens while on Oregano ...
    Other things that help me: GSE, Mastic gum, Caprylic Acid (from coconuts!). Many thanks - am more positive now.

    Thanks for breaking this down for us. SIBO is so complex. The whole digestive issue world is such a hard nut to crack. I'm currently lost in it all. I'm looking into oxyalate sensitivities. It seems to crossover with fodmats. Almonds are high in oxyalate along with many grains and veggies like spinach. They could be problematic even after your SIBO treatment.

    • @traceykartchner
      @traceykartchner 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On 2nd thought, maybe oxyalate sensitivities are SIBO related too.

    • @MelissaThompson432
      @MelissaThompson432 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you're not eating mostly organic, you may be glyphosate (RoundUp) sensitive. It binds to minerals and prevents their absorption, and you need calcium and sulfur for oxalate metabolism. Glyphosate can cause or contribute to a lot of the things that are talked about here.
      It's something you can get tested for, anyway.
      And if you're taking acid reducers, I recommend you try to avoid them. Drink milk chai instead. (Use whichever kind of milk suits you.)

      Hi Amanda, my names Jayson, I’m 21 and have had sibo problems for over 2 yrs. I’ve gotten to the point where I go to bed extreamily bloated and gassy and wake up the same, throughout the day I usually fart some but most days I can’t get it all out and I’m just gassy 24/7. I have sibo but the medicine didn’t work. I have really been thinking about the carnivore diet but was wondering if you have to be on it forever, and also if my symptoms were similar to yours? SIBO is rlly ruining my life

      @@eastcoastsnow hi Jayson, I am so sorry you are going through this. I had lots of bloating and gas. But I had severe diarrhea daily. Do you know if you have hydrogen or methane SIBO? I have slowly been able to bring foods back in without symptoms but I stick to a meat based diet because it makes me feel the best. I would recommend trying carnivore but stay away from rendered fat at first because it causes diarrhea and stomach pain. Eat anything that comes from an animal but also watch the dairy it is inflammatory and can cause bloating too. Carnivore is the only thing that helped me get rid of all my symptoms and I continue to be symptom free. I wish you all the best.

I do not have any other issues besides the fact I just get super bloated and gassy, wake up super gassy, usually can’t pass it all or any, and yeah just the bloating, no other digestive issues or anything. I have been keto for several years but have been noticing lately that I have a lot of burping and stomach discomfort after I eat. Forgot: I've also been implementing my prokinetics. Same as yours while attempting LDN.
    I'm not sure if I should be implementing physillium husk caps as they help move solid bowels and regular bowel movement. Yet, I feel they still feed the bacteria and although I'm activating my motor complex since it's literally stalled out being an issue causing the sibo to occur. Sometimes, I feel it's still feeding the bacteria and I have to resort to organic green coffee/tea enemas at least once every couple days to rid the dead bacteria when using herbal antibiotics or regular antibiotics. I've heard one needs to get the dead bacteria out because alive bacteria can feed on the dead if it's not released out of the body.
    Who knows. It's all trial and error for me. I just know it's sibo and my sibo has adapted like no other which is really scary because I can't imagine never being released of the bloating and side effects that destroy well being and never living without pain, stress and brain fog to such horrific degrees.
    The irritability the illness causes is crazy. I feel it effects others more than others and my doctor expressed those too. Some have it and don't notice anything and some it can cause literal incapacitation.
    Also, biofilm disrupters seem to help. The ones I get that work best aren't on Amazon. Also, you can get a more powerful allicin not on Amazon either unfortunately.
    The allcin is in the sibo solution book and the biofilm disrupter is by native formulas. It's just my opinion after trying 2 other biofilm disrupters and 4 different allicins to compare potency, effects and results.
    I deeply appreciate your videos on here in terms of your sibo trials and errors.

      There's a connection between untreated infections and SIBO. I've had the same UTI for 2 years. It's been treated multiple times (at least 7 sounds of different antioxidants) with no success. I now I have SIBO and SIFO too since all the antibiotic use. I'm not the first person to experience this. Idk what your experience has been with UTI, but I assume your UTI is no normal UTI if you think it might be connected to SIBO. If you've had your UTI treated multiple times and it keeps coming back, you should look up things like: "Microbiome of the bladder", "biofilms and embedded infections of the bladder", and "biofilm busters for the bladder". Treating your UTI and getting rid of it for good should be your primary concern since SIBO often seems to dissipate after other underlying or untreated infections are resolved. Having both a UTI and SIBO sucks. I'm so sorry you're in this situation.

    You’re well informed. Know that the prokinetic phase is BY FAR the most important one, because whatever you do in the “killing phase”, you can’t kill them all… it’s meant to quickly reduce populations, and the killing phase is lore important for methane dominant SIBO cases because the methanogens (Methanobrevibacter smithii) simply don’t belong in the small intestine, whereas E. coli and Klebsiella species are normally present in small amounts in the small intestine, which cause the hydrogen gas.
    So the prokinetic phase where you don’t snack in between meals and mikimize your eating window and thus maximize your fasting window and thus maximize the amount of time that your migrating motor complex works is the key to eradicating SIBO. Know that SIBO is often the result of a compromized migrating motor complex due to nerve damage to the interstitial cells of Cajal following auto-immunity due to antibody production after exposure to certain bacteria (CdtB-producing bacteria), such as Campylobacter jejuni, Escherichia coli, Shigella species, Salmonella species, etc. during food poisoning. As long as you have these auto-immunity antibodies (“anti-vinculin” antibodies) that attack these cells that are required for your migrating motor complex, you will always be prone to getting a SIBO relapse. Mark Pimentel is researching how to get rid of them, but it’s going to take some time.

      Also, don’t forget to treat for SIFO if your symptoms keep persisting. 3 weeks of 100mg of fluconazole is the standard treatment. Look into Satish Rao’s research on this topic.

      The advice I was given by my SIBO group on FB was "don't eat anything you can't eat," since the pain and suffering were so intense. My killer foods with SIBO were onions & garlic, and fructose. I quit eating fruit altogether. And I cycled, straight berberine (not a combo preparation) and oregano oil, so that I wouldn't develop a tolerance to them.
      It's not completely gone, because if I go hog wild and start eating starchy carbs and garlic I have to reach for the oregano oil to get relief. But ordinarily I don't suffer any more.

      I'm rooting for you. SIBO is miserable.
      I _thought_ I had commented about SIBO/anemia. I'm sorry you have it, but I'm glad you have answers.

    Go check out Dr.Berg . He explains that anti-biotics will wipe out all the essential microbes in your intestines. I am just starting to learn about SIBO . he goes in deep about salt bile and how it regulates the smaller intestine. I think it's better for you to watch the video. Dr.Berg SIBO
