India has 17.5% of the world population but India has only 17% of the worlds slum population. This means India has lower percentage of people living in slums as compared to world average percentage. You have higher chances of meeting a person living in slum in the world than in india. SHOCKING FACT! ISN'T IT?

at about 13:08, with the fire on the hillside, an Indian guy seems to say. "This is Oregon".....I live in Oregon. Is it possible he said that? We do have forest fires in the summer, with a huge one burning as I type in the wildenerness in south-central Oregon. I won''t be surprised if I didn't understand him correctly, but what a surprise if I did.
Pretty much everyone has a satellite and mobile data connection , its SUPER cheap here ... ( I'm paying 300rs for 2gb data per day for 3 months)( 300rs is about 3us dollars...)
When I heard you are going on a tour of the slums with somebody, I thought that's not a good idea. And to hear in the end that they paid for almost everything, just incredible what you experienced with them. And I think it's your first video where you were really comfortable vlogging out in the public
Arriving at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Mumbai at night on a Jet Airways B777, taxing to the gate gives you a perfect impression of the surrounding slums with views right into the makeshift houses and sheds.
Wow Thanks for the great tour. Your filming is exactly what I want to see. You are beyond brave and to trust people you don’t know is outstanding. Keep up the positive attitude and thanks for all your work.
Quite a different view of the world. These are the types of things that I want to expose my children to. Little do they the know how privileged they are to have the basics in life. This goes to show you that you really don't need much to be happy.
This proves that just because your poor doesn't mean you have to be dangerous and violent Indian people seem pretty nice. Other poor countries that he was in were not this safe.
i wouldn't call that a bad slum i would say that is above average for a working class area. Other slums are polluted with plastic, feeces and rotting food. Flooding in the rains and without sewerage or water.
I started following you as you claimed to show countries beyond their image created by the mainstream media. Why try to reinforce those stereotypes in the case of India? Libya Somalia, North Korea - you have tried to show something the Wetsern media never covers. Yet you go to India to explore just this. BRAVO!
Is it by coincidence that the caste system is most probably separated by the skin tones of Indians and the darker skinned Indians tend to be of the lower castes? Also is it hypocrisy that Dalits treat Afrikans in India so poorly?
Rishikesh, varanasi, shimla, delhi?... no idea where buts its about experiences on the journey. Nice to see you experience everything in india(good/bad/mediocre), was watching another persons india vlog and they were staying at 5star gurgaon hotel and price there is $350-500 a night. Nothing wrong with that but feels pointless, what youre experiencing cant really be replicated. Where else can you experience a cash crisis, getting sick, poverty, opulence, etc etc.
None of those places :o Thanks mate, i always try my hardest to see every part of a country like you say, the good, the bad and the ugly. And yes, all these experiences are irreplaceable. This trip is extremely challenging but has so many lessons nestled inside the challenges, so for that I am grateful. Thank you for the comment my friend. Take care.
hope you visit the Philippines too.. i just discovered your channel bcoz of your recent travel to NoKor...since then i can't stop watching your videos. i've been binge-watching for 3 days now. we would love to see you here in our country too. i hope you put that in ur list in the future...cheers! ❣❣❣
Recently, to curb this menace 'honk more, wait more' system was introduced at traffic signals in Mumbai. If people honk, the red light time keeps getting higher.

Dude I love your work! Wow what an incredible video man! This is by far my favorite one you have made so far! And I loved the remix part where your rewound the video of the kids in the swing! I laughed so hard hahahaha
Thanks Roulston, it is one of my favourites too. Hahaha it's the mother fucking remix!
Indigo Traveller I LLOLd (literally laughed out loud!) at that part, too! 😂
I didn’t know I was claustrophobic until I watched this... thanks for the tour!
This slum is called dharavi i live here
first of all thank you nik for understanding real human.
am myself indian and felt great the you came india and visit again.
gave a new perspective.
Thank you Mohammed, this is such a kind, warm hearted comment :)
Very well done my friend. I'm currently living in Chiang Mai, Thailand and enjoying your videos. Started with your Everest series and now watching others. You have a beautiful way of capturing the spirit of the people, your photography is beautiful and I love the positive vibe you share. Kudos!!
at about 13:08, with the fire on the hillside, an Indian guy seems to say. "This is Oregon".....I live in Oregon. Is it possible he said that? We do have forest fires in the summer, with a huge one burning as I type in the wildenerness in south-central Oregon. I won''t be surprised if I didn't understand him correctly, but what a surprise if I did.
Great video! One of the best. Have watched it a couple of times already.
Love all your vlogs, but those on India and Bangladesh the most.
Your video makes my day. Great stuff. Not what I expected to see in the slums there. Looking forward to new videos.
Thanks man, this really means a lot to me!
awsome man hope ur channel get big soon :)
Thank you Rohit. I have a huge trip coming next month(april 2017) to Africa so stay tuned for that one!
looking forward for ur videos :D
I didn't realise that India is such a poverty stricken country. They are supposed to be the next super power after China. I like your video 🇬🇧
?
@@vishnuthakur9520 he is using sarcasm he is from britain
I noticed the Satellite television dish on some of the homes in slum.
Pretty much everyone has a satellite and mobile data connection , its SUPER cheap here ... ( I'm paying 300rs for 2gb data per day for 3 months)( 300rs is about 3us dollars...)
Eric Rodrigues kon dita re baba 3 months for 300 rs maka bin sang
Some of them have air conditioners too.
When I heard you are going on a tour of the slums with somebody, I thought that's not a good idea. And to hear in the end that they paid for almost everything, just incredible what you experienced with them. And I think it's your first video where you were really comfortable vlogging out in the public
There's just different worlds living together in India. The diversity is very real.
Oh yeah.
Arriving at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Mumbai at night on a Jet Airways B777, taxing to the gate gives you a perfect impression of the surrounding slums with views right into the makeshift houses and sheds.
Wow
Thanks for the great tour. Your filming is exactly what I want to see. You are beyond brave and to trust people you don’t know is outstanding. Keep up the positive attitude and thanks for all your work.
No problem
That "merry-go-round" was super sketch!!
Quite a different view of the world. These are the types of things that I want to expose my children to. Little do they the know how privileged they are to have the basics in life. This goes to show you that you really don't need much to be happy.
Just got to this video ... It's pretty damn special. Never seen anything like this before mate. Keep 'em coming
Buy a gimbal bro, all this shaking gives me a headache
This proves that just because your poor doesn't mean you have to be dangerous and violent Indian people seem pretty nice. Other poor countries that he was in were not this safe.
Cool to see in the slums the kids got a kiddie coaster at least.. not sure I'd let my kids on it.. but hey ..it's the little things
God dayum the traffic so noisy :o
anyways good to see u homie
keep up your work its worth it :d love watchin the crazy stuff :D :D
Yeah man, it's intense! Thanks mate, that means a lot to me. See you soon!
Indians very amazing, intelligent and industrious people. Their ladies well educated, entrepreneurs and passionate...
i wouldn't call that a bad slum i would say that is above average for a working class area. Other slums are polluted with plastic, feeces and rotting food. Flooding in the rains and without sewerage or water.
they need to ban the existence of car horns over there, holy shit....
The animals deserve so much better
Bro, had no idea you were a Kiwi. I have mistaken you as an Australian all this time lol.
Kids are always seem so happy no matter where in the world.they just don't know how much the odds are against them.we are so spoiled in America..
The warmth in the greeting from the man in the blue shirt at 10.35 literally brought tears to my eyes.
+Nicola Figini yeah, he was so kind to me❤
This slum is called dharavi i live here
Such amazing people u stumbled across!
«Im bodyguard for u» made me smile
Absolutely incredible, thank you so much for this video!
Thank you!
Thank you for this documentary! I enjoyed it 😊 I hope i can also visit india ❤
Kristin Dela Big towns have more slums... people in village are poor but have better life and more space between jungles
This slum is called dharavi i live here
You really meet real people, where there is less fortune.. #IndigoTraveller
I enjoy it, thanks for your support mate!
Take care.
Best Travel Vlogger on TH-cam

Thank you so much ❤️
haha, for a minute there, i mistakenly mistook this country for the India that has a space and nuclear program
Contrast and disparity brother
Great vlog Nick!! and "I like your behaviour" too😄😄
Haha thanks mate! :)
soo loove this video!!!! much love to you.
They love to honk their horns! Damn ;-(
Recently, to curb this menace 'honk more, wait more' system was introduced at traffic signals in Mumbai. If people honk, the red light time keeps getting higher.
How did you meet the men that showed you around? Love your work bro keep it uuuup I'm from nz and want to do what your doing. inspirational dude!
Nice video Nick... However India has a lot to offer other than slums.
Please try and show real and beautiful side of this amazing country as well... Stay blessed. 😊
such an eye opening video. Thank you for sharing!
This slum is called dharavi i live here
Feel bad for those puppies...especially the last one...really small all alone...
Bryan Schumacker
That’s what you got out of this video? Wow
@ yes I'm sure that is all he got out of this video. you're an idiot. seeing hopeless animals living in such filth and disparity kind of stands out..
@Samsung Galaxy don't assume
It sounds like the horn controls the accelerator
