  • Keep getting confused when it comes to 4 figure skating steps? Then here is something that is going to help! ►► A brief description and breakdown on 3-turns, brackets, counters & rockers. Download our FREE "The four turns, every figure skater must know" Guide → www.nextedgetutorials.com/4sk...
If you're just starting out on your figure skating journey, the idea of having edges can be really confusing. What are they used for? Which edge is which? How do I practice them? Lot's of questions that can sometimes get drowned out by bigger concerns. Like not crashing in the middle of the ice where everyone will see!
So in this lesson we wanted to go over both inside and outside edges, forwards and backwards, to show you how simple they are to understand and the different ways you can practice them on the barrier (boards) and then out in the middle of the rink.
    In this lesson you'll learn:
    - How to tell inside and outside edges apart
    - Feeling those edges and how they can be practiced
    - The main goals to focus on when practicing these edges
    Happy Skating!
    - Mitch & Stace

This video is so essential, I wish we were told that at LTS, but unfortunately they don’t teach you that.

Thank you your vedio about the edge exerise. I want to know while outside and inside edge, where the body weight put on the foot? Middle of foot palm? Front part of plam?
    Thank you very much 😊

Very welcome and thank you for reaching out. When skating forwards, weight is towards the back of the blade and when skating backwards, weight is towards the front of the blade ❤️❤️
