The point is that all firearms what are manufactured or sold in germany at the civil marked are tested and proofen by the german goverment with 30% overloaded ammunition. Only if they have done this test they get a stamp and only then they are allowed for the marked. For example they take a BMG 50 cartridge with 20.000 Joule reloading it up to 26.000 joule. Then they shoot 10 rounds. After that they check the whole fire arm for any damage. They do this with each single fire arm. Thats the reason why this cheaper BMG 50 from kentucky ballistic never would be available in germany. It would fail in the goverment test.
For example we haded very long delivering times for S&W 500 revolvers. They are manufactured at the limit and the german goverment have killed lots of them during the test after they was shiped to germany.

@@manatarmstheweaponcabaret the counterfeit round blew up at over 160k psi. more then three times the regular pressure of a .50 bmg. that was the amount of force needed to shear the threads.
the bmg rifle that kentucky ballistics fired would not only pass your gov't requested test but be over engineered for it. in fact the over pressure round used to test was more then 30%.
@@toomanyaccounts I think he was using the armor piercing round when the rifles was destroyed? This kind of ammunition is not allowed in germany. Also I think the problem was the cooling from the rifle. He just was opening the chamber for reloading. So even the primer gets more pressure becausee of the heat. In my opinion the 2 blocks behind of the cartridge chamber haded just the hight of the half barrel diameter. The rifle is looking very weak in my opinion. At least he haded realy lot of luck to not kill him self or get killed by the rifle.
@@manatarmstheweaponcabaret SLAP round which goes for 100 bucks a pop. The problem is there is a lot of counterfeits when that amount of money is involved. Most people have never seen a real one and even a shooter may not notice the round is uncrimped and the sabot isn't slotted or that tungsten isn't in the bullet.
five bucks of material nets one ninety bucks of profit since the majority of people would never fire the thing at that cost. they would use the cheapest powder they could find which is often pistol especially magnum pistol powder instead of the proper amount of rifle powder fill it with that and you have a guaranteed pipe bomb in the rifle.
the rifle is actually very strong. that thread and cap system is based off of one of the strongest breech loading mechanisms out there. its stronger then a semi auto. other rifles have exploded from old faulty ammo or bad reloads. seen footage of one 50 bmg bolt action that sent the bolt back into the neck of the shooter when it exploded. the guy was shrieking and the range officer was yelling to cease fire.
seen pictures of a barrett that exploded into pieces due to a faulty round going off just as the soldier was trying to cycle what he thought was a dud round. turns out it was a hangfire due to being old ammo. that was just the regular force. if it had been loaded with magnum powder there would be no rifle even if it wasn't being cycled.

@@toomanyaccounts Yes there is a big difference between handgun and rifle powder. The handgun powder have a agressive burning behavior because of the short hand gun barrels and the rifle powder is more progressive because of the long rifle barrel lengh. Mixing it or just using the wrong one makes a 100% pipe bomb like you was writing.
Germany have a very restrictive weapon law. To get permissions you have to do a lot of paper work. For example to get a weapons owner licence you have to made a test. You have to learn 1.000 questions with 1.000 awnsers. In the test you randomly have to give the right awnsers to 80 of this 1.000 questions. Also there is a 2-4 week siminar where you get teached. The same again you have to do for a reloading permission. In our neighbour country swiss everyone can go to the supermarked and buy there bullets, empty cartridges, primers and powder. Then they start mixing own ammunition. The ammu you can buy must be all cip confidented stamped. There is no way to just buy a single ammunition cartridge. You only can buy a full box from a licensed arms dealer and he orders it from the manufacturer.
Sure you everywhere have black sheep what sell fake ammu because of making profit. But guys like this will instand there licence.
The only guns like revolvers I have seen what was blowen was destroyeed because the owner was using a double loaded cartridge or he haded no gun powder in the cartridge. In case 2 the primer pressure is enough to bring the bullet in the barrel and there it stucks. Then they make a second shot what is loaded correctly and the 2nd bullet hits the stucking bullet in the barrel. Also this could happen only if you shoot very fast. Normaly you should feel or see that the bullet not was leaving the barrel or no smoke/fire was comming out of the barrel.
The accidents I have seen in my time of shooting was mostly user based misstakes. So you always should take care who is shooting close to you. For example if someone shhoot 5.56 in a 223 classified rifle you should leave this guy and tell him he is doing dangerous things. The cartridge dimensions are pretty the same from 223 and 5.56 but 5.56 have 1/5 more pressure. Shooting a 223 in a 5.56 rifle is no problem. But 5.56 in a 223 rifle can be dangerous or destroy your rifle if you do this often.
Also I have seen lead parts what was flying away from revolvers. The owner not have cleaned the handgun well. He was using lead bullets because they are cheaper then full metal jacked ones. There was lead parts between the frame and barrel and with enough weight of the lead or the pressure what comes out between the gap between the barrel and cylinder it flys away and stucks in your neighbour shooters neck.

Yes. Also easier to own then a AR15 or other selfloading rifle for example because its just a single shoot one.

@@manatarmstheweaponcabaret Der ist 1:6 und hat 540 Kilo Gewicht! Den V12 mit Vergasern so wie den Rest habe ich alles selbst gebaut. Der steht in der Garage auf der Frau ihren Stellplatz und ich kann den nur auf den Anhänger fahren, bzw. mit Seilwinde ziehen, weil der zum tragen zu schwer ist. Ist ein Leopard 2A4.

it would not be classed as a handgun in the us but a short barreled rifle. it would have to be imported by a nfa dealer who could legally import such firearms
They are manufactered only single by ordering. The Price is about 4.500€ - 5.000€. The reason why its a handgun in germany is because of the buttstock you can remove.

All of them are stamped and proofed by the german goverment like all other firearms what are soled at the civil marked in germany. For example the goverment is testing all firearms what are sold at the german civil marked with 30% higher loaded ammunition to guarantee the safety for the owner/buyer.
For example the accident what happend to kentucky ballistic could not hhappen to you in germany. The goverment take 20.000 joule 50 BMG cartridges, loading them up to 26.000 - 30.000 joule shooting them in the gun and if it pass with no damage it will be stamped and sended back to the manufacturer.
My friend is owner from hd waffenshop and licensed firearms dealer in germany. Also he knows the manufactuer of this BMG 50 very well. It should be not a problem that he ship the gun to a licencensed arms dealer close to you in the USA. I maybe have to translate your request because his english is not the best ;)
