only one line because im loyal to carnival!
1- Carnival so far, will sail Princess Alaska cruise next year.
3
C. 6
B. We are loyal to Carnival, but we sailed NCL for their Holy Land itinerary.
At a minimum, I would have had that teen removed from the cruise. There should be consequences for that assault.
Sorry teen or NOT I'm pressing charges!! It starts at home!
He should of put him in jail. This is why we have situations like this, nobody is punished anymore.
That dad is serving as a co-dependent to the attacking teen’s poor behavior. I would have picked option #1: have the kid arrested at the next port. He’s old enough to take responsibility for his own actions.
Not allowing kid to leave cabin without a parent is standard punishment on most cruise ships for moderate teen offenses....and if security spots teen out alone, the family is thrown off. I do think the follow up to this should be banning the teen till age 21 (18 isn't enough!). One would have to assume that the kid's actions were intentional since security was willing to put the family off the ship.
I completely agree with you because he clearly needs to learn societal manners before being allowed back on. I would say maybe even finding the parents would speak to the child more too especially if he had to pay his parents back.
Assault! He should be kicked off cruise and banned for life from that cruiseline. Serious actions warrant serious consequences!
Wonder what caused the assault 🤔
@@pamcullen537lazer tag - i would put my money on the teen losing his temper when he was tagged out .
@@CryMeARiver63 Then he needs to gain some control & grow up
If the teen doesn’t receive consequences, then he will not changes his behavior.
Agreed, and it should have been a sanction imposed by Royal Caribbean, not up to the passenger who has been assaulted to decide.
C-3
As for teen assault, Honestly the decision SHOUlD NOT be put on the victim. The cruise line should have policies in place and determine punishment based on policy and in this case putting the teen in the ships jail for a night till they get to a port where his parents pay to send him home is a good option and learning experience. If I were his mom he would be given bathroom duty for a year and made to pay the man’s doctor’s bills with a side job.
The last story is a great picture of grace beginning extended to someone that didn’t deserve it. It seems the teen has anger issues that will potentially cause him trouble the rest of his life if not dealt with now. I pray that his parents recognize this.
Hi Friend! Yeah, I was thinking the same. Thank you so much for commenting!
The little punk would have been locked up. Lesson learned . And if he did that on a cruise playing a game he cant control his anger . Needs some tough love
Sorry but i would have had him kicked off at the next port of call. Maybe the parents will learn a lesson also about their kid.
Agree. I wouldn't give this hooligan a pass.
The kid also started screaming "Don't trust anyone over 30"
I agree. Best option so that they kid and family is taught a lesson but at the same time does not have an arrest record.
Really enjoyed the news and the way you presented, very too the point and no messing about. So thanks for that. I Subscribed and looking forward to future updates. Great job!
Hi Rosemary! Thank you so much for your kind words!
A- We have only traveled with NCL and have really enjoyed it.
Kicked off the next port with his family and banned for life.
Option 4, walk the plank🎉
C, Carnival (ah 40 years ago), Royal (1), HA (1), NCL - taking my 5th this fall only because they have a solo meetup each day and they gave me a good future cruise credit from the disastrous previous cruise!
I agree with his decision on how he handled the situation. I have sailed 3 cruise lines
Option B / probably option three , but having Police at the end of the cruise take a report - the kid has some serious issues which will only get worse
There should be police waiting at the end of debarkation. Actions have consequences, and that kid violated the cruise line's rules of conduct. It's no different when the police are waiting for parole violators at the terminal.
It's nice the man didn't want to punish the parents, however, it would be good to ban the teen from further cruises until he can cruise unaccompanied by his parents.
Hi Julie! Yes, that was exactly his logic. Definitely gracious of him. Have a great day!
I think I would have asked that he be confined to his cabin with meals brought to him. If he is allowed to be out with an adult, what is the punishment? He can still do everything.
@@sweetpea1989 The punishment is probably the embarrassment this child will have to endure being handcuffed to his parents.
I would not stop the ban when he is old enough to cruise on his own. This would just make him an out-of-control aggressive adult which would also be bad on a cruise. People that act that was as kids have a tendency to grow into adults that practice the same behaviors and then teach them to their kids.
@@boysrus61 you assume he has a conscience .
Jason and Kellie, THANK YOU FOR THIS CHANNEL and for providing all of your very valuable content. I have come to make your channel my one stop shop for cruise related topics. Your stories are always very timely, relevant and interesting!! Again, thank you for doing this and for sharing a bit of your lives with us! Much respect!
Oh did I forget to say, "Go Navy, Beat Army!"
3 cruise lines for us - thanks for the awesome updates Jason!
Hi Friend! Thank you so much! And, thanks for sharing your input!
I would choose option 2, but I am mean lol. Honestly though I would have tried to have a convo with the crew and his parents to setup a lie, and act like they where going to send him to jail the next day just to scare him a bit. Then come back later and say the dad changed his mind and you just can't leave without your parents. Nowadays some people just need that fear in their head. I wouldn't be upset either if the dad actually did choose first or second option. Teen is just lucky he ran into a really caring person.
Thanks for clear, quick and concise news for us with no extra fluff... Fluff is fine sometimes, but prefer your no drama just news way.
So many TH-camrs these days go on on and on before getting to the point. Beomes tiresome and I usually put a thumbs down and click off the channel and unsubscribe if there was a prior subscription. I find it insulting to my intelligence. Even though I despise the man, disgraced former FOX News host always said to "Keep it pithy" or in other words, keep it short and to the point.
Hi DB! Thank you so much for your kind words!
C. I’ve cruised with 5 different lines. Just booked my 46th cruise!😊
Oh no, poor Summit- we loved her on our Christmas cruise!!
Option 1 of course. I don't care if you cause physical injury to another party that is it. Kids today are being treated too lightly.
I agree with you on that .
Great story about the Neonyx cruises. That’s very cool bringing on famous DJs like Paul Oakenfold.
Hi Jules! Yeah, definitely a new approach.
Answer to question
1 cruise line.
We just started cruising in August 2023 and have 3 under our belt already. 4th one to Alaska booked for labor day weekend. So far, Carnival is all we have experienced. Looking forward to trying more ships.
2. Carnival only once. The crowd that was on the ship at that time was not 'my people'. My last 4 Cruises have been with Princess. I'm a big fan of their enrichment seminars held everyday.
Having done enrichment for Princess for many years, I thank you.
You forgot option 4: 5 minutes in locked cabin to "correct" teens behavior but most don't have cajones to take corrective action.
B = 2. We have sailed with Holland American Line since 2008. However, I was babysitting my grandson for March break while my daughter was away on business, and we left Long Beach for a Carnival cruise from Monday to Friday morning. Grandson loved the food available practically all the time, the water slides and the Kids Club. For my part, I had a stack of books for my entertainment.
We have sailed on Princess, Carnival, Celebrate, Royal Caribbean, & Paul Gaughan.
You guys are such a lovely family and very stright to the point with cruise news 💯good channel
Hi Patricia! Thank you so much for your kind words!
This teen needs to face more than just parental accompaniment for the rest of the cruise. Probably not the first time his behavior is in question. Should have been booted at the next port. Have cruised with Royal, Disney, Princess, and Celebrity. C- 3 or more
Option 2, or 1! Have cruised: Carnival, Princess, & Virgin Voyages (chef's kiss, kid free), booked again for NYE!!!! 😊
Here's a good one. Today on my way from Royal Caribbean Oasis-of-the-seas to the city of Marseilles, France. There was a truck accident. A 20 minute drive, took almost 2 hours. When we arrived to meet our tour company for a 2 hour tour. He was so upset, he refused to take our group.
Always look forward to your videos, thank you
Hi Jody! Thank you so much!
The guy who didn't press charges is one heck of a guy. Many would have had him taken off the ship.
He must be a heck of a father.
Me on the other hand am not a father, so I have no compassion on that end.
Heck of a guy & Heck of a father? Really? Do you think he’s never hit an adult before?
C. I cruised with Margaritaville before it was Margaritaville, (Bahamas Paradise, I think), twice. Since then, we have cruised with 3 different lines, and will sail on Celebrity next month, for our fourth cruise line. So far, our favorite has been Princess, but that is open to comparison.
Royal Caribbean, MSC, Celebrity, Princess, Holland America. The last three are by far the best! 20+ and counting.
A. It's hard to give up the perks once you get them.
I would have picked the same option #3 but also made sure the kid did not have any devices on him. Solitary confinement while in the room is about the worst damage you can do to a teen. Also, hopefully his parents continue with some type of discipline when they get home.
A. We like the loyalty perks.
I’ve been on 4 cruises in my life all different lines 3 of which in the last 2 yrs. RCL, Princess, MSc and NCL. They were all ok, but they didn’t wow me - for the crazy price. I’m giving cruising one more chance this fall with Princess and it’s the most expensive trip I’ve ever taken. If it goes well, I may do a Europe Land/Cruise trip.
A. Loyal to Royal for 36 cruises.
Not that I don't love you Jason, but I don't see Kellie much these days. Y'all should do a group cruise so we can have cocktails with y'all! 😀🍸🍹🍷
He chose the right choice!! Option 3!
C - I have been on Carnival, Royal, NCL and Virgin
Thank you, went on my first cruise and loved it.
Hi Friend! That is wonderful! Cruising is super and I am glad you enjoyed it!
I think to determine which option for the teen you actually needed to have been watching or playing the match. Sounds like the Dad figured that the teen was just excited and needed more supervision rather than the other two. I’m not so sure, for a teen, he didn’t choose the worst from the viewpoint of the teen!
Book a few months before the cruise. I look at their websites and once their deals are offline I call the company directly and book that package at a cheaper rate with perks for last minute bookings.
Just did that with MSC, did the same package as my parents but they knocked a few hundred off gave us a drinks package for 116 per person tacked on wifi. Wound up paying 400 less than my parents who booked online a few months prior.
It's a gamble but worth it.
C many more!
But our favorite is NCL do to free style meals. They do it best!!
Or option #4, the dad gets a free punch while security holds the teen's arms.
A. Only with Carnival. Loyal
B-Holland America and Royal Caribbean. Have one booked for Princess in a year.
We've traveled on B-2 cruise lines.
C! We have cruised on 6 different cruise lines
C-Royal, NCL, Hal, Celebrity and my first time on Princess coming up in August.
Hi Cheryl! All of those are great cruise lines. Thanks for commenting!
C. Carnival, RCCL, AND Norwegian
A - I’ve only cruised on carnival…once I get to platinum level I will try others.
C going on my 4th different cruise line this summer
Love your videos keep them coming. I was wondering if you had any more information on Royal Carribean Nassau beach area that they’re working on. Thank you in advance.
i choose option 2.
I've had noro a lot of times from cruiseships. It is the worst. I stopped contracting it by not eating fish
Ohh, hard one. Providing the offenders parent wasn't present, I'd probably go with option 3. However, I probably wouldn't allow him out at all.
C - RC, Celestyl, NCL
B. We have only cruised with Princess and Norwegian 😊
Hi Barbara! We love both of those cruise lines. Thanks for commenting!
NCL, Cunard, carnival and Royal..love NCL
Hi Friend! All of those are great cruise lines. Thanks for commenting!
Carnival/NCL/Royal Caribbean
C although i really would not classify the cruise I had with Virgin as a cruise at all.
I stick with 2! Holland and Carnival
3 - Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Virgin Voyage
Hi Friend! All of those are great cruise lines. Thanks for commenting!
B , but only one NCL cruise (a long time ago) otherwise Princess people. However, we have a Celebrity Beyond trip booked for 3/25, hopefully to see Bug!
A, only one, Carnival…I ❤ Carnival but will be trying other cruise lines next year…
C. Have been on HAL, Celebrity NCL and Princess so far
C - Holland, Carnival, Royal Carribean
A - on Carnival. That will change in September though when I will sail on Royal Caribbean.
C- been on Carnival, Royal Carriban, and NCL,
Hi Friend! All of those are great cruise lines. Thanks for commenting!
3 Cruise lines for us, going on Uniworld next year in Europe!
B. Princess is my go to
Option C
C: Carnival, NCL, Princess, MSC, Holland America.
B-2 cruise lines and I would have chosen option 3 for the teen.
B: I'm a loyalty shopper. So far I've only been on 2 different cruise lines and it would be hard to get me to change from the one I finally selected.
C, I would have went with the 3rd option having the teen only aloud out of the cabin if accompanied by an adult. But it doesn’t specify that it had to be a parent. I would have a parent accompanying the teen.
We have been on C-if I remember correctly, we have sailed on 7 or 8 different cruise lines.
Hi Doodie! Always good hearing from you. I hope you all have a great summer!
B- Royal Caribbean and Carnival
C...Carnival, Rccl and Holland..Princess next year..
C. - so far I have been on 6 different cruise lines.
A,I've been on 10 Carnival cruises
C - NCL, Celebrity, RC, and Oceania
3 cruise lines: Carnival, Holland America, Norwegian Cruise Lines
Hi Sonya! All of those are great cruise lines. Thanks for commenting!
B six on carnival, two on royal Caribbean
I would have picked the same option as the dad. But i would have also made the parents pay for any medical attention the dad needed.
Option 3. Complete cruise then lifetime ban
Option C , bother the adults just the same , supervision all the way
B. Carnival and Princess
B-2 Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Line
I have only sailed on Carnival so A-1
I’ve only sailed with one cruise line
