Wonderful adaptation of King's novel. Walken is an excellent Johnny! Great supporting cast, too. Anthony Zerbe, Brooke Adams, Tom Skerritt, Martin Sheen. Chilling cameo by Collen Dewhurst. And Dr. Sam played by Herbert Lom is very affecting.

This is one of the most depressing movies ever made. A good man with a true talent who gets nothing but abuse, pain and ultimately death. 10/10.
