Thanks or posting this up. I recently got Omnisphere and I'm excited about using this. Now I'm just waiting for my custom PC. Definitely need the HD space and power to use a beast like this.
@Kkidzz I dunno, I guess it's a matter of taste, I don't feel they are big or verb soaked at all, especially when you take the fx off. But it's cool, I know we all have different tastes. Thanks for the reply!
in the browser at the bottom are different ways you can display your results, they are graphical representations of how your presets will be laid out in the browser
Thanks for watching, you're the first I've heard say that it sounds synthetic, but everyone has their own opinion. The choirs aren't as deep as a dedicated choir library, but they are there and there are plenty of soundsources you can use to make your own within Omni. You should check out some of their company demos if you want hear some virtuoso playing of chords and runs ;)
@prettdboy yeah...now EW has some libraries, specifically the orchestral, that are soaked in reverb at the raw sample level, most likely it's just the natural verb of the recording space, but I understand why. However in Omni, I never felt that at all.
@StarBoyJonesProds Omnisphere is 499, 40gb of space and yes it requires a decent cpu to run it properly. Not insanely more than anything else though, the main thing is that it takes up a lot of hard drive space and needs a lot of RAM. 4gb ram is the minimum requirement.
This program is a vst, a host is something that will allow you to run this vst, pro tools, fl studio, reaper, or even something like mini host, it's how you load and run these vst programs if they dont have a standalone version themselves.
I use Maschine, Ableton, or Studio One. There are free hosts like Garageband or you can try Reaper. There are also things like Minihost that let you run vsts on their own.
@LondonGeee depends on the person and what they are looking for. I personally get more use our of this than massive or reaktor. There is easy more than just soundtrack stuff in here.
I purchased Omnisphere 2 yesterday. So excited. My internet is horrible so the download is taking a while so while it's downloading I'll watch demo videos of sounds I'll have to use. It's halfway done.
At 8:51 I thought you were about to play Saria's Song from Zelda Ocarina of Time! lol. I can't wait to get this in the mail. This is going to level up my game so much!
Jason Burge Whats interesting is that I have a feeling this is the software company that Nintendo used when they made the music for Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, and Wind Waker.
@SoundsAndGear Sorry. On the interface it says "patch browser" and @ 8:52 on the right on the interface in the middle. The logo is Omnisphere PATCH in all caps. But if its all factory sounds that cool and cheap for what you got for $499.
Octavia Harris Komplete is multiple instruments as well as effects, while this is one giant high quality instrument. It's hard to choose one, depends really on what you need.
I love it - I didn't realize Omnisphere did these kind of sounds. I'd like to see another video like this focusing just on more of the traditional/keyboard/"workstation" type sounds. Cheers Sir
Only because Kontakt has so many libraries available in it's format, but if we are talking about factory libraries, Omni is superior in my opinion. But of course it depends on what you're looking for.
Are we talking about factory libraries or just the instrument? I would choose Kontakt because there are so many libraries available for it. If we are talking just the instruments themselves, the included sounds, Omnisphere has a better library out the box.
@pppeeeppee I doubt it, but why would you want to do that? How it sounds has a lot to do with it's own engine, converting to another format wouldn't yield the same results.
I simply loved your patches demonstration on Omnisphere. I've just purchased this Plugin. I wish you could make a tutorial regarding the first steps for installation, connections, setting up with the host for beginners.
I was just checking some other comments and somebody mentioned Roland sounds. I used to own a XV 2020 module back then with the Supreme Dance expansion card and basically Omnisphere is the Roland sounds plus MANY other gems that Spectrasonics cooked up. One major advantage I love is that this plugin can be controlled via iPad. When I demoed it at a music store on Maschine, I was sold!
@MarkSmithMusic I definitely agree...it's one of those "if I could only have one plugin" type of instruments, very deep and versatile. And just sounds great! Thanks for the comment.
Yes, Requiem is dope, I have the lite version, but again, it's dedicated specifically to vocal/choir sounds so I would expect it to sound much better than Omni which is a more all around instrument.
that's true. i bought it. and that was the first thing i realized. the reverbs. i expected them to so strong. but i somehow fits into my compositions. the interface and the handling of omnisphere is just superb. thx man!
I also cant find that catogory BUT some of them choirs he is showing are listed in the catogory Traditonal ... No All,, Just some of them ... I think we need a update or somn
your vid made me buy it!!! to be honest...this is worth way more money....freaking crazy how u can work with the presets...even making them different is possible...not alot...but wayyyyyyyy much more creativity than i firtst thought!!! BEST!!!
all in how you program the sounds though, a lot of the presets do sound that way, but you can alter them to make them fit anything. If I was being honest, a person could do all they wanted with Omnisphere, but...what's the fun in having only one thing! I use them both for different things.
@@vlefteris No, I decided to go for other plugins and I've also bought some hardware synths as well. I will never say never but currently I don't intend to buy any more plugins. I had a guy reach out to me and gifted me with 2 plugins worth 150$, so I will only get new plugins if developers give me NFR/review licenses. Maybe if my channel gets bigger someday, I could possibly ask Spectrasonics for a NFR license but I don't count on it :P
hi i heard a song called negligence by mark isham which had a vocalist called catherine grant which i think is on vocal planet and looking to see if she done anything else do you know anything about it
Wow! I had no idea that those sounds were in there. This is beyond awesome!
Thanks or posting this up. I recently got Omnisphere and I'm excited about using this. Now I'm just waiting for my custom PC. Definitely need the HD space and power to use a beast like this.
@pasGedden7 not sure what you mean by patch but no this is not an add on, these are in the factory library
make sure you have all the updates for the library
Yes they are omni library updates, the trilian presets require trilian to be installed
@Kkidzz I dunno, I guess it's a matter of taste, I don't feel they are big or verb soaked at all, especially when you take the fx off. But it's cool, I know we all have different tastes. Thanks for the reply!

@pasGedden7 patch just means preset, so the patch browser is the preset browser, and each preset is called a patch.

depends on if you have it set to show details when you browse
@Juan Herrera Not sure, maybe you need to adjust your audio interface buffer settings
This program is a vst, a host is something that will allow you to run this vst, pro tools, fl studio, reaper, or even something like mini host, it's how you load and run these vst programs if they dont have a standalone version themselves.
yeah you can play it using a keyboard but the software needs to be loaded inside of a vst host of some sort
Sounds like you may need to adjust your audio buffer settings @Juan Herrera
I use Maschine, Ableton, or Studio One. There are free hosts like Garageband or you can try Reaper. There are also things like Minihost that let you run vsts on their own.
no it's not a standalone vst but opens as a vst in any host you wish, it's not a native instruments product and doesn't run in kontakt
it has some cool ones as seen in this video, but you can get libraries that are dedicated to that
any store or website that sells plugins will have it, sweetwater, musiciansfriend, etc or places like loopboutique or primeplugins
13:14 that guitar has vibrato right
Not sure, been a while since I did this video
there's only one, it's called the Moog Tribute on the Spectrasonics site, I have that one, but didn't show any of the sounds in this video
@LondonGeee depends on the person and what they are looking for. I personally get more use our of this than massive or reaktor. There is easy more than just soundtrack stuff in here.
2019 and watching this Video
Thanks for watching!
Ace Face Records 3023 here! greetz

2020 and I'm reading this comment
@@SoundsAndGear i cannot believe that EVEN 9 years later, you're still replying to comments, i respect you

Very nice vid. I been looking to purchase this for a while. Made my mind up after this. Thanks for taking the time to upload this.
depends on if you want hardware or software
there aren't really many acoustic piano sounds in this library
yeah, you need a host, you can use something like toybear mini host or savi host if you don't want to open a full daw
@SoundsAndGear Sorry. On the interface it says "patch browser" and @ 8:52 on the right on the interface in the middle. The logo is Omnisphere PATCH in all caps. But if its all factory sounds that cool and cheap for what you got for $499.
@AndGz7 I guess that depends on your computer, I use anywhere from 4 to 8 or more with no problems
You may just have to change the way your browser is laid out, you have a few options. I don't remember not having the stars though
most of them are along the whole keys, it may change from instrument to instrument but most cover the entire range of the keyboard
Do you think this product has more usable sounds than any of he komplete products? Trying to decide
Octavia Harris Komplete is multiple instruments as well as effects, while this is one giant high quality instrument. It's hard to choose one, depends really on what you need.
Okay thanks!
yeah you can change the fx if you want to
glad to help, most of the time I am using NI Maschine, but I also use Ableton and Studio One.
how to fix distorsion and ecco from the sound of omnisphere?
I love it - I didn't realize Omnisphere did these kind of sounds.
I'd like to see another video like this focusing just on more of the traditional/keyboard/"workstation" type sounds.
Cheers Sir
You talking about the Snow or the larger one with more knobs? If so, I'd go Ti first.
i love omnisphere. been my go to for years for pads
+KUPHSER No doubt, it is a great plugin!
It is indeed a great library
Purchasing soon ,thanks bro
very useful sounds
when you open Omni, click the "check for updates" button, it will let you know if you're running the latest version
@clippinbass thanks for the comment fam, yes, love them both, no question...really great products
thanks for checking it out!
very best video detailng the sounds in Omnisphere, thanks for sharing.
Only because Kontakt has so many libraries available in it's format, but if we are talking about factory libraries, Omni is superior in my opinion. But of course it depends on what you're looking for.
Can you please make a video where you show of the acoustic pianoes?
Daaaaaammmmmnn so many memories hitting me right now. All i watched this too years ago before i got fl studio. Im might just purchase this too.

no, did you move the folders/files?
@mangel1992 Make sure you've installed all updates, these are part of the factory sounds.
I appreciate the support!
what do you mean when you "hit" komplete 8? Where are your plugins missing from?
Nice showing of some really cool instruments.
thanks for watching fam!

I have the 2 hosts on my pc: the FL Studio 11and the Cantabile performer 2. Which one would you recommend with an easier interface??
@CleverDjembe Omnisphere isn't a Rompler though, it's a synth which also has sample based sounds in it as well.
yes, i have all the updates, but when i'm try to select a sound in library and press my keyboard to test the sound, it gives me this error
not sure I would contact spectrasonics as usually if the library is updated properly then they just work
glad to help, thanks for watching

@drewinfinite word, I have them as well, don't use stylus much though
This will work with pretty much any daw this is a great synth if you are producing trance too
Omnisphere is $479 but sometimes you can catch it sale at different spots online.
But if i have verision 1.03, do i get more instruments if i have 1.5?!
no, not just a straight forward grand piano, it's been requested many times though, maybe they will update it with one

yeah it's pretty nice, depends on where you get it from but it's usually around 479
hello, can you help me with this error ?Cannot Load Multi while Load
yeah make sure you're fully updated, I also have trilian so that shows up in my library too
WHAT OTHER SOFTWARE DO YOU FEEL THAT BRING THE HEAT LIKE OMNISPHERE !!!??
whatever the latest version is, I just make sure to check for updates regularly to make sure I'm running the latest version

Please tell me witch verison is this!?
@Reggmail no doubt fam, it's a winner for sure

Does anyone know if you can use the arpeggiator as a modulation source ?
Please could you maybe do another review on Omnisphere Demoing some other sounds maybe ??
