NOTE: after filming this I realized that United awards through Air Canada were not showing on Point Me, I only saw then when I was looking for Lufthansa on Air Canada. Hopefully they can change this and add United in the future.
AMEX Rules! You are correct about not making things too easy...
Thx. As many points I have, it was a brain straining process trying to use them for travel
Ben always to point, no nonsense drag. Keep the good work.
Heard this news yesterday. BIG NEWS!!
This is amazing! Thank you so much for pointing out this webpage! I really appreciate this!
FINALLY. This is sick!
Bravo AmEx! 👏
Ty
Don’t know if it’s great but got 3.7cpp going to Hawaii first class from this vid. Very happy with that!
Ben,
Dropping the news and showing us the site. Love this thanks for sharing this news and doing a walkthrough on the video.
This is awesome. I pay the $12 a month so this may save me money, however I have lots of United miles since I fly them and or Star Alliance partners as I live in Japan so that is the only downside. Nonetheless, phenomenal video.
Question: how does it compares to PointsYeah?
Well... Hallelujah!!🎉🎉🎉
So it's Skipped lagged app but for points w/ shorter list of carriers.
Ben, for the Flying Blue flight to LHR, they are not actually quoting low. It is 75500 points but you need to transfer 76000 Amex points since you can only transfer amex points at multiples of 1000.
thanks for the explaination
Do you know if they factor in transfer bonuses when available like when it’s 1.25 points to transfer to Air France? Also looks like they display points in the airline’s points, not actually comparing how many Amex points you’d be spending. Am I understanding that correctly?
It’s displayed as airline points, so if there’s a transfer bonus you will be able to transfer less over
turing 18 friday, excited and ready to apply for my gold
Don't apply for the gold first.
Build up your credit score with no annual fee cards, and more importantly (in my opinion) you'll be locked out of the Green's sign up bonus if you get the gold.
Most likely will get denied with no credit history get a starter card to build history
I second what others have said, don't start with the gold or you'll be locked out of the green bonus. If you're going to try to start with an Amex card, start with the green. But also as others have said, you're unlikely to get approved for it with no credit history. Go for a no annual fee starter card😊
Why it’s not showing ANA awards?
Because it doesnt?
@@davidpham9353you think you’re a smart ass huh
So it's not buying directly like Bilt does
Site is no longer working for me. Anyone else having this problem??
Now we just need to wait for a partnership with Chase😪
but how do we know if the total amount of points they are charging is a good deal?
Search the flight in cash on the airline’s website and then deduct the amount of taxes being charged on the reward booking from the price and then divide the remaining figure by the number of points. For economy booking you want to be getting over 1.25 cents per point and for business class over 2cents per point
Here comes the party pooper. I have a bad feeling about this …
I agree
Only shows Delta business flights and no first or economy seats.
I was searching business.
My correction, when looking for flights you have to select economy or main cabin. Found out it automatically selects first or business.
I think the point discrepancy is because you can only transfer points in increments of 1000.
💳
Its really too bad you can't see those United awards through Air Canada
They’re only showing aeroplan awards on air Canada metal?
Yeah I guess because they are not an Amex transfer partner. But that is kind of dumb, since you can book them with the miles of a transfer partner. Actually Lufthansa isn't a transfer partner and they did show, so that's kind of odd.
I couldn't find the saver awards that were showing on United. @@Yifty08
So if I have all my amex points stored with virgin atlantic ( per one of mark reese's awesome charts, virgin Transfers to the most airlines) I can use this tool to check business class availability, open a membership ship with a new airline, transfer the points and book the flight using the airline miles?

Just a heads up, the t in Lufthansa is a hard t
Not available in the uk, what nonsense! Surely can’t be that hard to roll out across the main countries together
Also making it easier for people is not necessarily a good thing. Makes it harder to book award seats for us people who can be bothered to research things properly
That 1 million really is crazy to pass on to retire a packer guess it wasn’t really that important after all
Keep it hush hush...only you and your 204,000 closest friends know about it.
i don't like it, too easy, will ruin award flights
Useless. Doesn't show ANA.
Moushi wakearimasen 🙇♂️
It is what it is. Useless for your but super useful for a lot of people.
Why are you so butthurt😂
This is terrible, now too many people are going to know.
