      good afternoon brother, I have a question, I see that you have a 2 channel pre amp in the video that works well with the mic. I want to add the wa1b to my chain, how would I go about doing so considering the fact that it's a mono compressor? I have the original Townsend L22, could I use the LX instead because from my understanding it's mono ? someone at Sweetwater told me that this could work, but I wanted to get your opinion because I respect your insight on all things related. thanks in advance

    Can't wait to see what you do with it. I have been using the L22 for a while now. I have never been behind most of the emulations, except a real u87 back in the days at QUAD studio, which is my fav for most of my vox on the l22.

    Greetings Archie, I recently purchased the Sphere LX and have a question, if you don't mind me asking...
    I'm an artist who records vocals only (in Luna) and is used to recording in Mono. Since you must record in Stereo with the LX, how would you record your lead vocals?
    I believe my only two options are to convert the stereo recording into a mono track and delete the right channel OR run the vocals to a Mono BUS.
    Keep doing what you're doing fam, the Vocal Chain vids are Epic!

    I Hope you are good,
    I don't know which microphone to choose between the Sphere DLX and the LX.
    I want to record only the voice while singing, am I need buying the DLX for the stereo or the stereo will not be used for singing?
    The dlx is better for singing or the lx is suffisant?
    Thanks for all

    • @archiebeatz
      @archiebeatz  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey what's up brother? Well, I own the Axino but not the Slate. In all honesty, the UA Sphere's sound more natural with the different microphone models because of what it does with the front and rear room capturing. Also, I was trying to get my hands on the Townsend lab for a few months but I saw this coming so I waited, lol. I hope this helps brother.

    I have the same microphone when i talk or record the my vocal sounds louder in one side i see when you talk in the microphone i see on the bottom your inputs the same and when i talk its not the same can you do a video on calibration or making its exactly the same and can you do a video on isospere option cause i use a reflection filter with my microphone so should i click reflection filter on the isospere option or no does it matter my recording sounds boxy or muffled a little bit and i use a union plugin when i record

    Hey Mate! Looking at possibly saving up this or going for the Sony C80 which is cheaper and what I am after for vocals, but if the LX can get close to the c800 Its maybe a better investment. Whats your thoughts, would love to know!

    • @williamvancourt528
      @williamvancourt528 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Spend the extra and get the DLX.
      And the C800 emulation is very close, not 100% but great.
      I prefer the DLX because you can use two mucrophones at once.

  • @MrCoolerThanAFan

  • @Ezor8
    @Ezor8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’ve watched your reviews - so I am curious - If a person owns a Tlm 103, smb7 and baby bottle (they thoroughly enjoy the u87) and was thinking about a sphere or Lauten Audio Atlantis -or Clarion- Which would you recommend? (Neither of these mics have been tried out - she’s a female that mostly sing soul & R&b… and the things heard online, specifically the Atlantis have been impressive… She has a vocal booth - and mainly record at home in an open space (foam ball and sound blankets)… The Atlantis might be the one but the emulations seem cool-- (She also owns an Apollo and RME small interface)…

      I’ve owned a Townsend for about 2 years
      Looks exactly the same( the larger model) other than the logo change.
      And price is exactly the same. It was already a fantastic mic….doubt the changes anything other than the cosmetic. BUT , hopefully they updated and even improved the emulations a bit more🤔🤔….which were already pretty damned good
