  • Want to go camping in BC but don't know where to start? This video shows where you can find information about campgrounds in provincial and national parks in British Columbia. In future videos, I'll cover forest recreation sites, municipal/regional campgrounds, private campgrounds and random camping on Crown Land. I plan to make some videos about camping gear aimed at beginners too!
Let me know in the comments what you think!

Kari I stayed in the first site you showed in September for one night. It was the Dry Gultch Campground. Very nice spot.

I didn't know that some national parks might not have a fire ban if the surrounding area does! Thank for the info.

Here's my tip. "Bromley" the other side of Princeton...a big green pool in the river. Camping by the hwy and in the day, park your campchair in the shallow area along with your beverage and lunch! Bonapetite!

Excellent summary; especially appreciated the 'show and tell' approach. It's a shame it's promised companion video wasn't produced.

I'm a total newbie with camping in Vancouver, what kind of things I should be aware of when camping in BC? e.g. what kind of insect repellent do you need, and what kind of bugs I am expecting to deal with. Are there bears, cougars or other wild animals that I should be careful about. What kind of sleeping bag is needed if I go camping in Vancouver during let's say between June and September. There's a lot of rain in Vancouver, are there any tips for better handling of downpours at camp sites in Vancouver?
