Thanks Penny! I really like the original device although I wish it was easier to use freeform. As far as I know, original will only freeform last treatment. A few days ago I had to update ZIIP app on my ipad, when I signed in, it asked me to choose my device and I peeked at the treatments available for the new device. I haven’t seen the new device or treatments since then. I do wish ZIIP would either allow users with original device access to new treatments or perhaps add a few treatments just to keep things interesting 😀 maybe a lymphatic massage treatment?

I love my ZIIP . I have the original. I do the Jowls and forehead program twice then I do FreeForm twice all with Golden gel. Then I leave gel on for 30-60 min.

I received a notification for this this morning. I like the idea of the smaller contacts to get into tighter areas. But I’m a little concerned about the on/off switch on the bottom. I get conductive gel all over mine and have to wipe it off between treatments. Maybe I use to much gel? Little worried the the gel could get into the switch???

So far they’re not discontinuing the gels (I asked and they said they’re sticking around!). Don’t have FOMO! The new treatments are so similar to the original treatments! It is a TINY bit smaller, so I get what you’re saying, but it’s not drastically smaller (i know I showed them but I am trying to curb your FOMO lol) 😊😊💙

I love going through the different programs with Melanie when I do my Ziip! It is relaxing! PS: I love the Ziip gel in Silver.. it’s the only one I use. I’ve tried other gels but they just don’t measure up-and the Ziip gel lasts a long time, for me.😊
I agree! I ran out and tried others I had left over, I had so much on literally had to use a pampered chef little pan scraper to get it off! Often I play your video about a device while I am doing the treatment i.e. IPL, HF, etc. It keeps me motivated. 😂 My question is about microcurrent. My device has 5 settings and goes up to 600 microamps. I usually keep it on the highest setting and can feel it. Should I be turning it down if it feels really zippy? Usually for me it is more zippy around my lips and upper eyebrows. Should I turn it down so I can barely feel it or just push through the discomfort like I have been doing?

Hi Penny, thank you for the review because I was very interested. I was wondering about the intensity on the original Ziip. I feel like the intensity isn't very strong. I know it's never good to have your face constantly twitching like the one from Truth Treaments , which is why I unfortunately don't use it. But is there enough micro-current to actually make a difference for the muscles? That's why I always go to the facials on the level 3 intensity! Also I noticed on the app now you can choose the Halo device so that's kinda weird to have it on the original Ziip. I have been using the Ziip everyday, it hasn't been 3 months yet but I'm not really seeing any real lifting, maybe being 63 you just don't get the results if you were younger

Great video, Penny! I have the ZIIP GX and love it. It’s easy to use and I enjoy picking a treatment(s)and following along. I especially like the gels. I’ve used all three. I was wondering if I can use the ZIIP gels with my Nebulyft. I like the fact that the ZIIP gels don’t dry out during a treatment. Thank you!

I don’t think the Halo has it. The Halo has Electric Tone. The GX use to have that treatment. I wish it brought it back. Do you know if I can toggle btwn treatments with one device?
Hi Penny, I'm so happy I found your Ziip comparison review and because of your expertise and valued opinion, I purchased the Ziip GX over the new Halo because I felt the construction and head size is much better. I find that when successful products are revamped, they are not always as good as the original even with the significant price reduction. That also gave me pause. I'm looking forward to receiving my kit this week and plan on using it every night. I've used the NuFace Trinity for 15 months until is unexpectedly stopped working. I'm hoping that the Ziip will out perform NuFace for many years to come.

I had four of the ZIIP Halos from CurrentBody and none of them functioned for more than a week or so. If I could find one of the older versions I would buy it.

Thanks so much for a great description! I have two questions: 1) There’s a lot I like about the Ziip, but it seems like the flat shape with plastic between the metal would make it hard to treat angled areas of the face, such as the jawline. Am I missing something there? 2. The original Ziip emphasized inclusion of nano current, not just micro current. Does the new Ziip have nano current, and if so, what does it do that micro current can’t?
Hi ladies 😊 Ok so the flat shape does take some getting used to. I’m so used to it thought that it is very ergonomic to me. When I do my jaw I’ll often do a lift and hold (from just under) Ok and yes, the new halo has nano current. This is an even tinier current that is supposed to just feed the cells gently (no twitching muscles, no lift etc, just energy for the cells). I did an interview with Melanie a few years ago and she explained it so well. I’ll try and find that video for you 💙
But back to the crevices- sometimes it is difficult to get “in” to nooks etc. The best for that in my opinion are conductive gloves or probes….but those are attached to a device and typically more cumbersome. 💙
I got both myolift and ziip. Don't like ziip as it zaps my face. Love my myolift as I can control the settings to my skin tolerance Also the ziip does not have a return policy. Consumers please be aware.
I would like to love this device but I had so many issues with the original ziip. First the coating on one of the probes came off. They replaced the device. Then the new one started cracking all around the probes. Mind you, I always store it in a box and never travel with it. On top of all that, for months I had massive issues connecting to the app. That's been fixed but now I find that no matter what I do the videos are never in sync with what the device is doing. And because you can't skip back of forward you can never time it just right. Given the price of this device my experience with it is more than disappointing. After all this drama I bought myolift and never had a single problem with it. The only drawback is that it's not very portable.
I’m so sorry to hear you had all this trouble! Interestingly in the intro to the halo Melanie says that the video doesn’t control the moves, just provides a guide. I bet you weren’t alone with that issue so they changed that?

I have the very original ziip (before it was called gx) and it's getting old. But I noticed that the halo has fewer programs and is missing some of my faves (especially forehead and the works)--the programs are also all very short. My question is whether they will add the old ones for halo later or if the halo is able to use the older programs. If not, it won't be worth it to upgrade for me until I have to.

I wanted to love the first ziip, but I need up returning it because the design was so awkward to use. The plastic housing was always in the way. As if the probes didn’t protrude out far enough. The new design looks just like the old one. Does it feel any more comfortable on the face? Or is it the same experience as far how it goes around the ridges of your nose & eye area?

For a person who has trouble getting the probes around eyes for the eye treatment. Would this be a good remedy and possible better treatment experience? When doing the eye portions it's like I can't get it to fit ,it's too bulky for my eye area it doesn't look same on me like it does her in instruction video. Lol just wondering if that's an important factor that might benefit those with smaller faces.

Even though they lowered the price of the new devise, you code made it too tempting to pass up. I hope the app is good as the description. Great review. Can i use the new facials on the app with my old Ziip. If i choose the halo device it does sync the new facial with my original ziip?
Hi Penny, thank you for the review because I was very interested. I was wondering about the intensity on the original Ziip. I feel like the intensity isn't very strong. I know it's never good to have your face constantly twitching like the one from Truth Treaments , which is why I unfortunately don't use it. But is there enough micro-current to actually make a difference for the muscles? That's why I always go to the facials on the level 3 intensity! Also I noticed on the app now you can choose the Halo device so that's kinda weird to have it on the original Ziip.
I have been using the Ziip everyday, it hasn't been 3 months yet but I'm not really seeing any real lifting, maybe being 63 you just don't get the results if you were younger
I have myolift, nuface and ZIIP. The latter is the only one I can stay consistent with.

Great video, Penny! I have the ZIIP GX and love it. It’s easy to use and I enjoy picking a treatment(s)and following along. I especially like the gels. I’ve used all three. I was wondering if I can use the ZIIP gels with my Nebulyft. I like the fact that the ZIIP gels don’t dry out during a treatment. Thank you!

I love my ZIIP GX. I’ve had it for maybe 4 years now. Thank you for the comparison. I totally have FOMO but your video made me decide to not get the Halo yet. I love the GX Energize treatment. I don’t think the Halo has it. The Halo has Electric Tone. The GX use to have that treatment. I wish it brought it back. Do you know if I can toggle btwn treatments with one device?
Hi Penny, I'm so happy I found your Ziip comparison review and because of your expertise and valued opinion, I purchased the Ziip GX over the new Halo because I felt the construction and head size is much better. I find that when successful products are revamped, they are not always as good as the original even with the significant price reduction. That also gave me pause. I'm looking forward to receiving my kit this week and plan on using it every night. I've used the NuFace Trinity for 15 months until is unexpectedly stopped working. I'm hoping that the Ziip will out perform NuFace for many years to come.
It is always my goal to help everyone be a more informed shopper and get what will work for THEM!!! I am so happy you ended up ordering the GX though, it is such a great device. I still love mine and I am sure I will end up using it again. 🥰
I had four of the ZIIP Halos from CurrentBody and none of them functioned for more than a week or so. If I could find one of the older versions I would buy it.

How does one know in which treatments you fill have nano and or microcurrent ? Or do they always run in each setting?

I have two questions: 1) There’s a lot I like about the Ziip, but it seems like the flat shape with plastic between the metal would make it hard to treat angled areas of the face, such as the jawline. Am I missing something there? 2. The original Ziip emphasized inclusion of nano current, not just micro current. Does the new Ziip have nano current, and if so, what does it do that micro current can’t?

Ok so the flat shape does take some getting used to. I’m so used to it thought that it is very ergonomic to me. When I do my jaw I’ll often do a lift and hold (from just under)
Ok and yes, the new halo has nano current.
This is an even tinier current that is supposed to just feed the cells gently (no twitching muscles, no lift etc, just energy for the cells).
I did an interview with Melanie a few years ago and she explained it so well. I’ll try and find that video for you 💙
But back to the crevices- sometimes it is difficult to get “in” to nooks etc.
The best for that in my opinion are conductive gloves or probes….but those are attached to a device and typically more cumbersome.

I got both myolift and ziip. Don't like ziip as it zaps my face. Love my myolift as I can control the settings to my skin tolerance Also the ziip does not have a return policy. Consumers please be aware.

I would like to love this device but I had so many issues with the original ziip. First the coating on one of the probes came off. They replaced the device. Then the new one started cracking all around the probes. Mind you, I always store it in a box and never travel with it. On top of all that, for months I had massive issues connecting to the app. That's been fixed but now I find that no matter what I do the videos are never in sync with what the device is doing. And because you can't skip back of forward you can never time it just right. Given the price of this device my experience with it is more than disappointing. After all this drama I bought myolift and never had a single problem with it. The only drawback is that it's not very portable.

I have the very original ziip (before it was called gx) and it's getting old. But I noticed that the halo has fewer programs and is missing some of my faves (especially forehead and the works)--the programs are also all very short. My question is whether they will add the old ones for halo later or if the halo is able to use the older programs. If not, it won't be worth it to upgrade for me until I have to.

I wanted to love the first ziip, but I need up returning it because the design was so awkward to use. The plastic housing was always in the way. As if the probes didn’t protrude out far enough. The new design looks just like the old one. Does it feel any more comfortable on the face? Or is it the same experience as far how it goes around the ridges of your nose & eye area?
is it possible to change the strength of microcurrent with the free form mode? or any of the modes in the app? or is it automatically set for you? i feel that would be a disadvantage to not have control over the microcurrent strengths in the different modes

.05 you just need to wait for the skin to be healed, for .25 I would say you could the next day 😊

For a person who has trouble getting the probes around eyes for the eye treatment. Would this be a good remedy and possible better treatment experience? When doing the eye portions it's like I can't get it to fit ,it's too bulky for my eye area it doesn't look same on me like it does her in instruction video. Lol just wondering if that's an important factor that might benefit those with smaller faces.
