@pennsmithskincare -- you talked about DNA repair product - i'm wondering if you can confirm that the Estee Lauder night repair serum and the newer Eye serum has DNA repair in it? I recall way back you did an interview with Dr Yarosh and I believe he was the scientist that worked at estee...and i recall him saying it was DNA repair? Is that right? It's a bit more affordable than Photozyme (although still really expensive!...so just want to make sure it's worth using still!

Hi Penny! I am using up my second bottle of NIOD CP and was trying to make it last till Slovember again but it’s not going to.. so today I used your link and ordered the Maelove… I have tried to say, “I don’t need CP’s” but honestly I really notice a difference if I don’t incorporate them! I also love and still use the product by Rhode called Glazing Milk which I also think has some copper peptide and other peptides in it.. not sure how much CP but it’s a solid product that I cannot do without in my routine!❤

Penny, you have inspired my renewed skincare passion since Covid. Just like you, I change it up, and listening to your skin is the perfect suggestion. Your skin will tell you what it needs. I’ve never been able to do Tret every night, so I cycle through two different retinaldehydes that I have on hand, and once a week I use something different like an overnight mask. I use one by Paula’s choice and a K-beauty overnight mask. Anyway, thank you for this routine. I learned so much about how to structure my skincare routines from videos like this by you.

Great information! Since you’ve now done an am and pm skincare routine video would you be willing to do a video on what procedures and lifestyle changes you’ve done in order to give a complete picture of how you’ve gotten to this point in your skin journey? I think that would be really helpful because as they say it’s not just what you put on your skin. I also think it would be fully transparent to talk about “all” the procedures even the ones you weren’t happy with? For example you said you didn’t like the side affects of the Ellacore procedure you had done but since it’s a skin tightening procedure I do think it should be mentioned. Thanks for all you do!❤

There are videos on everything I’ve done, including ellacor (and actually 2 blog posts on ellacor too). I have almost 8 years of videos….mentioning everything I’ve already documented would be difficult.
The only treatment this year I didn’t make a video on (but discussed) was a very superficial Ultraclear laser treatment. It was so light that there wasn’t much to show in a video.
Otherwise I document it all in pretty detailed and vulnerable videos.

It can cause additional irritation is my understanding. I still alternate them and also now layer them under my Tret. On non Tret nights I use a peel pad and wait an hour and do the rest of the night routine. Works for me!

Hi Penn! Thank you so much for this video! I am curious about how late you are using the retinaldehyde in your skincare routine, and in particular your use of it after other products like DNA repair enzyme. I was always told that retinol/retinal/retin-a was supposed to go directly on bare skin to have a bigger impact. Is this not true, or is there another reason you use it so late in your routine? Thanks so much for your advice and guidance, you are the best!!! :)

Vitamin c is essential for your skin as well and it should be worn underneath your sunscreen during the day. Copper peptides and vitamin c should not be used together at the same time which is why most people just use their copper peptides in the p.m..

Hi Penny! My p.m. skincare routine is quite similar to yours in terms of steps, other than DNA repair serum (which I intend to add). My question is that if you WERE currently doing a growth factor serum, where WOULD be the appropriate place for it in the routine? I'm particularly curious if it would be before or after the Tretinoin? Or is it NOT a good product to use with some of these other things. Thank you so much for considering my question. I know your time is valuable. Your information and knowledge are unbelievably helpful!

If I were to add a GF I would put it on right after cleansing and I would wait 5 minutes (this is something I do but may not even be necessary….the idea is giving the GF a moment before adding other things to the mix) then go on with the routine.
If I used a device it would be after the device on clean skin (wait 5) then on with the routine.

Invented by a young woman with breast cancer here in Savannah, GA. to get the results she needed without toxins. When I tell you it is better than ANYTHING I have ever tried, believe me. I have tried them ALL for more than 35 yrs. Wasted sooo much money. This line gives me more results than I have EVER seen! Even the body oil with less than 1 month of use faded a large scar I had. Not as expensive as many but after years of trying to find my holy grail, I finally have. If I had a channel I’d share it to the masses. Truly amazing line! I’ve told everyone about it.

Skin type: Combo, hormonal acne prone skin, not sensitive to acids though. Very pale with freckles, over 40.
    Products I use mostly:
Some days a might toner like Tirtir light.
I do acids lactic and salicylic in dropper bottles
    Vitamin c
    Nicinamide with zinc
A multi-peptide serum (current one without copper, but next one will have this added I think)
    Moisteriser/ sunscreen
Love your help with knowing where the vitamin c and nicinamide can go in here along with toner if that’s before of after acids?

    Hi Penn,
I'm almost 49 years old and I'm also post-menopausal, however, I am still suffering with hormonal acne. In my AM skincare routine I'm using BRP50 1970 and a leave on benzoyl peroxide cream, and in my p.m. skincare routine I am double cleansing using an oil cleanser and a benzyl peroxide cleanser, 3 nights a week I'm using prescription 0.1 Tretinoin and four nights a week I'm using Sunday Riley good Genes at least twice a week I'm using the Dennis Gross extra strength peel pads, and I have a plethora of moisturizers that I rotate between, but I have to be careful with moisturizers because most moisturizers will also break me out, these breakouts, of course are my main concern but the breakouts are also leaving me with hyperpigmentation which is my second most important concern. Also, a while ago, I tried adding copper peptides into my skin care routine, but when I added the Trenten back in, I was getting too much irritation, so I took the copper peptides out. I've never been able to use a vitamin C every vitamin C I've ever tried including the vitamin C, derivatives break me out like crazy. I had some good results with Azalaic acid, specifically the Paula's choice one, but I just felt like the bottle was too small for what they charged. And other Azalaic acids that I've tried to add in didn't work for me. They actuallybroke me out, please help.
