When the Valiant 21 Sikhs Battled 10,000 Men

  • One of the most incredible last stands in history occurred when 21 Sikhs under the command of the British fought against an army of over 10,000 men.
Havildar Ishar Singh and his men decided they would buy time for the British by holding their position against incredible odds of an army of more than 10,000.
It’s an amazing story of bravery in a battle that was documented as the Sikhs relayed information to the British using a Heliograph. In addition, the British could observe from another fort as this ultimate act of heroism played out.
We’d like to thank Prabhjot Bhamrah Singh for giving authentic voice to the Valiant 21

Hi Yarnhub viewers. Some people have pointed out some lines in our script are identical to an extra credits video on the same subject. th-cam.com/video/lFfHp83Xm04/w-d-xo.html. Our script was written by a contract scriptwriter and we're working on getting the sources for our script from them. In the meantime we wanted to pin this comment here. Please check out the extra credits video. It's very good. We'll get to the bottom of this and post an update here. Thanks

Sure, these propaganda vidoes was first uploaded in 2012 and since then they been uploading and uploading. The uploaders were asked to prove it from history and they could not do it. The whole story was made up from a slab in which 21 sikhs soldiers were killed in a bandit areas which was full of assasin in those days. Firs they were said they radiod but then there was no electricity even in the most advance place until 1925, then they changed their story to something else. And now new ones are uploaded to spread the propaganda. The Original uploader then removed the vidoe and was told to come up with evidence from history of ten thousands men? Even today they cannot prove it because they are looking for glory. No electricity so the radio one went down then the bodies were found days later so where were the ten thousands came from since no one has even heard of it before? It all started by some idiot in 2012 and on and on the propaganda goes. The 21 sikhs were killed by bandit and assisn who were so skilled in that region that they kill even their own relatives and they were killed at night and the place was burnt and their body lay dead and the refile were taken by bandit. All the rest is a pure glory seeking propaganda. Should not they have fought the British army to free their land? No they were used to slavery so they ended getting jeolouse and started all these stupid stories.

As a Sikh, I know the secret how they fight with more than 10 thousand people. This is a power of reading Bani (Guru Granth Sahib Ji). In Bani Six Gurus (Teachers) write the abilities of Supreme Lord like, Creater is one and he is in very one, every thing we see is part of Lord, His name is true, Lord is fearless, lord cannot hate anyone, he is beyond time, the lord is doing every thing, he can not born and Die, we meet with lord with grace of Guru, and lots of abilities. After reading Lords abilities daily it comes inside us. Thats how we become Sant and soldier.

Therefore the similarity. However, you'd be shocked to know that Guru Gobind Singh ji hand-wrote the gurmukhi translation of bhagvad geeta, holy quran and many other holy texts which were somehow misplaced during the great tragedy of sirsa, when the entire sikh army as well as the guru's family were segregated in myriad directions.

Politicians just do some formalitites but the real loss to the regiment and the soldier's family and friends is what we can't experience.... I am myself a son of an army man... bro, i have my father but i lived without him my whole childhood.. he was busy all the time serving the army... that is why we say army wives and children are the strongest... I see how proud are Sikhs (religious group) always to say it openly and also saying about their historical bravery, even Muslims do. Only Hindus don't say that because others and they also think its non secular or communal to be proud of their Hindu warriors, who kept away the Arab conquest of Bharat for nearly 600 years, when in few decades the Caliphate conquered from Arabia to Afghanistan, then part of Sindh but that's where they had lots of push backs by the great Hindu kings (or were they also Buddhist, Jain) in present Indian Gujarat, Rajasthan, maybe Sindh of Pakistan, Punjab (maybe Pakistan combined). There is nothing wrong in citing historical facts if your Indigenous people of a religion were victorious in protecting their homeland from invaders.

The 36th Sikh regiment that fought Saragarhi was later rechristened as the 4th Sikh Regiment of the indian army and my grandfather fought in it and has many valiant legends of their own. He was on of the best shooters of the regiment often known to be a soldier who never missed the shot. He retired on the rank of Subedar and his name was Subedar Sohan Singh.

One thing people will notice about Sikhs is that they always are true to their words and will do anything seriously. They respect their women and patriots to our country. They make up around 8% of the Indian army. I ain't sikh but out of all the Indian communities I have high respect for the Sikh people. They also give free food to the people at their langars and will open a langar whichever country they live in. The best thing is the Sikhs will always respect the local culture and language
