- A small tribute imagining what Final Fantasy 6 would be like if it won a remake similar to the Live Alive remake.

This is wonderful though I would recommend a more oxopath traveler camera angle tilted more upward looking down into the city. Zooming out a little more. But yes overall I feel like they should redo one through six in octos graphical style.
I like that it's horizontal, you can see the sky more easily. I would just add a blue dot in the far away distance to represent Sabin's house, haha.
Octopath style would be sweet. I wonder if they'll test the waters with a remake, VI would be the one to do it with though for some reason I can see them doing IV... again. I wouldn't be opposed to IV but VI really deserves a full fledged remake after getting screwed out of DS style and PSP style. Granted, V did to, but VI would be the $$ maker and much more deserving of attention.

love it! i think the blur is a bit too strong and the lighting is a bit bright and over exposed, but i can see the potential! great work, man!

I can still see half the screen somewhat clearly. Do you think we could get some motion blur and light beams going so the other half would be equally "cinematic" ?

I wouldnt mind seeing a FF7 remake style version of FF6. I feel like it would greatly benifit from the modern gameplay to a more active action based rpg instead of traditional turn based game again. I feel like most if not all the stats and abilities/magic can be ported over to a more modern framework and it would kick fucking ass to see all those enemies and bosses with Hi def graphics and fully voiced lines.

god this looks amazing! sadly Square hates their IPs that made them big, thats why we only get a mobile port of this legandary game...
the bad port of FF8, no hd2d for the older titles, no chrono trigger remake, but around 100 million dollar!!! for a soulles game like Forspoken
Best way to do this. Figaro castle moving around would be too zany to create moving around under the Earth.

Have to say I'd much prefer it got the FF7:R treatment. The story of FF6 is imo much better than 7 and with so many more characters. If they gave it modern graphics and gameplay mechanics I absolutely feel it would eclipse 7.
"modern gameplay mechanics"... I'm not sure how I would feel if the game was turned into an Action-RPG.

They did a damn unreal ff7 ofc they can do a Dissidia alike ff6 with no restrictions.

What is square made a HD 2D numbered Final Fantasy like say 17. They could spend a fraction of the cost and and still sell 10 million copies
This looks great! Would have been better if you used the Pixel Remaster's Version of the soundtrack to feel more like a remake. Still looks great though.

If it got a remake and it looked like this I'd be absolutely livid....
If only... FFVI (And V) have only gotten scrap and shit so far, no "remake" as of yet, and no, I'm not playing the iOS nor "Pixel Remaster" they're insulting me with that fugly font and colors. Yes I can mod it but it seems like SQUEX doesn't care for this game (and V).

Won't happen, square lost the source code for the game, so ROM hacks are all you're going to get. The FF6 remaster is just that, it's the phone version with hacked assets.
I very very very very much doubt SquareEnix would remake FF6 from the ground up.
they already remade it from the ground up : they reprogrammed the whole thing in unity for the pixel remasters (no rom in the game assets this time) so it's safe to say that they have a completely new source code.
@@armorvil They why the mobile menus? If they rebuilt the game from scratch then use the windowing system made for a cell phone?
I'd be devistated IF FFVI got a remake in the Octopath Traveller style.. its such an overrated franchise style that EVERYONE is copying now,
So many games in the indie dev community doing this too.
FFVI is deserving of so much more.. like maybe FFVIIr remake graphics but kept Jrpg and NOT Arpg, and no change in story what so ever.
the script would have to be expanded at least. Some dialogue (or lack of dialogue, rather) works because the game is in pixel form and leaves much to the player's imagination. With realistic graphics like FF7R, many scenes would be very, very awkward.

Not really, I'm also a veteran who played it at release on the SNES but I played all other rereleases (ps1, gba, old mobile/steam version, pixel remaster). I would also definitely play a remake if they made one. It's not a matter of owning the game already, it's a matter of : are you a true fan of FF6 or not?

@@WhiteSupreme They're not just ports since each rerelease comes with its own additions, and if there's a game that deserves a few bucks every 5 years or so, it's this one. If you consider this "throwing your wallet", I'm sad for you.
