Highlights of my logo design tool comparison video:
I think the best overall is Canva, just because you can use it for all your designs, not only for making a logo for your website but also for images, infographics, and social media.
But if you don’t want the hassle of creating a logo yourself then use Fiverr, and someone will create the logo for you. Or use Looka as they have great suggestions, but fixed layouts.
And if you are looking for a free platform then go with Squarespace (or Canva). I put Canva in brackets because you need to use another online tool to get a transparent background in Canva for free.
Keep in mind that the scores are just to give you an indication.
I mean, some of the criteria is super subjective, so take it with a grain of salt.
For this video I used 3 criteria to judge the logo makers.
USABILITY
so how easy it is to use and the included features, the higher the rating the better the usability.
ICON LIBRARY
This means the quality and quantity of the icon library, again the higher the rating the better.
PRICE
1 being more than $50 and 5 is free.
And! The usability and library are on a ten-point scale and
prices are on a five-point scale, just so that the price doesn't have such a big impact on the overall score.

I’m not gonna use it every day for making logos. I just want a couple to copy to transfer paper and be done. No monthly subscriptions. Is there anything for students?

With Canva, can I create completely custom logos and designs without having to pay for each and every design that I create? That's ultimately what I'm looking for. Looking for super simple software to use because I don't need something like Photoshop to create simplistic designs to be etched on glass.
With canva pro, you just pay monthly fee and you can create as many designs (of anything) as you want
Does anyone know a app that you can change the colors of the background the character and delete certain parts of the logo like if there is already a name on the logo or a background I don’t like than I can just delete them

As far as I know should be okay, the whole purpose of canva is to create logos / images and then use them on other platforms like insta & fb.

Not that I know of, you would need to create something like that yourself (with affinity designer or adobe illustrator) or get someone on fiverr do it for you.
What is your opinion for the best and most accessible design software or websites?
I use affinity photo / designer (costs around $25 one time payment and has similar features to photoshop) if you want something a bit easier then go for Canva.

I have a logo design that ive thought of but the problem is that i need to Photoshop the image so it looks how i image it but the problem is im not sure how to do it nor do i have money for the good working photoshops, can someone point me in the right direction to help me
maybe "gimp image editor" can help you? It's not as powerful as photoshop, but it's free.

yeah it depends a bit on the service, you can use them for personal use, but I think you can't sell them on products. Only if you purchase the license.

After making a brand logo do you need to purchase a domain name
you don't need to. But if you plan to create a website, then domain name is really essential.
I buy my domain name from namecheap as they have one of the best prices + free protection.
If you are going to buy a web hosting (to create a website), some of them offer free domain for a year.

Great video. I made a logo with Canva that I really like but I've been hearing that I can't use any elements from Canva in a logo legally. So I'm not sure what I should do... Maybe I should just create a signature logo using no icons?

It would have been way more helpful to me to boil down to top 5, or put all free logo makers first, etc. as I wasted alot of time going through many only to find at end of trying the logo maker there was significant pricing in order to download for alot of extras I don't need. I'm not looking to have branded website, biz card, etc. I found it to be too many choices. I also don't agree about value of Fiverr. Never had much success with Fiverr or wasted alot of time trying. just my humble opinion as YT creator newbie.
Thanks for the feedback. I do start with the best free tool. Also I've indicated free tools in the video description. But maybe the free tool segment could have been clearer and longer. Unfortunately a lot of free tools aren't that good.
Regarding Fiverr, indeed it can be a hit and miss... especially in the lower price ranges.
From my experience, you get okay quality for the price.

With Adobe you can make anything, I didn't include any of the proper design tools, as most people don't want to go through the learning curve.

Logo Maker software usually looks like a preset. But at least you don't have to pay the designer or pay them royalties when their design is used. For something not serious I guess logo design software is fine, but again to the trained professional it looks like a preset. Professional companies and big corporations would never use logo software, they would hire a designer and work out the royalties amount.
I totally agree Jenna, if you want a unique logo I would go with a good designer. But when just starting out these generators are good, and they also can give you some ideas for a custom logo.

What about Wix? You didn't even mention it but I think this is the one who takes all the effort from the customer and makes literally everything for you, even website design. Yes it's expensive but you get the whole package with png, vector, commercial license and so on.
when I tested, I didn't like WIX's logo maker. It was way too simple and lacked editing capabilities.
The fact that you can have it with a website is nice. But personally I think you get more value for your $ from other web hosts / page builders.

I see your concern Ricardo. And to be honest, right now logo AIs are nothing compared to a proper designer. But I disagree with you that you should just not talk about AI. It's here, and it will change how we all work. My day job in ecommerce is also at risk, but to me AI is just another tool. If you master how to use it, it can help you be more efficient and you get to do the creative work. In my opinion fighting against AI is just a loosing battle, better learn how to work with it.
