    This is a helpful tutorial and I want to thank you for making it, but I gotta say, it’s SUPER hard to listen to what you’re saying when that Sail remix is playing. Maybe you could make a version where the music gets quieter when you do voice over? Or one without music? Thanks again for the tutorial, it was super helpful!

    • @Robbie-mw5uu
      @Robbie-mw5uu ปีที่แล้ว

      it was harder to force out
      one thing I noticed was that the button to remove the joycon became difficult to depress
      it still releases the joycon, but the button won't go in with a bounce
      I think it is extremely important to make sure your spring is seated correctly when installing the metal latch. Maybe I made a mistake there. Too lazy to reopen cause it works.

    There’s a reason why that lock is plastic, when you drop your switch the joycons are suppose to take the brunt of the force and they eject if they need too, I feel as if this would make the console more prone to breaking since the joycons can’t break loose, I’m just going to send my in to Nintendo

      I personally wouldn't use a metal lock since it will probably put wear on the rails like you said, but also if you drop the Switch on the Joycon now; it runs the risk of damaging the rail since it's metal on metal instead of plastic on metal. Replacing the rail is a lot harder than replacing a Joycon.

    if you have another grip controller, test it in that grip first to see if it slides out, I opened mine up for no reason only to find out I just had a bad grip controller :')
    I mean I had to open it anyway to fix the drift with some card stock but...I coulda saved myself some time if I just realized that my clips were fine. oh well xD

      Keep in mind that they saved money on plastic locks yes, but also with a metal lock; you run the risk of damaging the actual Switch console if you drop in on the Joycon now since it's metal on metal instead of just plastic on metal. Personally I'd rather replace a Joycon than the Joycon rail on the Switch console which is a lot more difficult to do.

      you need to buy a 5/64 drill bit and drill out the screw until the screw heads pop off
      be gentle, firm, and patient

      Keep in mind that they saved money on plastic locks yes, but also with a metal lock; you run the risk of damaging the actual Switch console if you drop in on the Joycon now since it's metal on metal instead of just plastic on metal. Personally I'd rather replace a Joycon than the Joycon rail on the Switch console which is a lot more difficult to do.

      Hm. Also, that’s a DMCA violation. That’s copyrighted content. Annoyingly loud, and at times can’t make out what he’s saying because of it.

      @@fritospie7982 do note the comment your bumping is 4years old and further has been deleted. My comment was simply don’t watch the video on a response comment. further why would I take it as an insult Im not the creator. Im very much against the music overlays in tutorials they’re incredibly annoying but instead of moaning just be grateful if it helped you.
