Once you create an UKVI account, might take a couple days (for me 3 weeks) before the form appeared. Had already received 2 reminders to complete and each time there was no 'form' to start the process. Be patient, log in after couple days or week and see if it appears. Elsewhere here and other videos users are asked to re-install app, think this is unnecessary. So be patient.
When it comes to using the App, make sure the phone settings allow for NFC (contactless payment) and this is enabled, the app is allowed to access camera too. Also, if you have a phone protector, remove it when you scanning the chip otherwise you will do this a dozen time each failing. All the best all!

Yep this is what i"m experiencing. So thankful for this comment. hopefully the form turns up soon.
An update: Even after going through the 'marathon' of setting up, got the email saying 'view evisa' but logged in and again, nothing showed. Patience once again and just logged in after couple days and the end game is here.

I don’t know. 🤷🏽♀️ You can ask the government this question if you wait for the other emails and it doesn’t come in a few days or weeks.
I don’t believe that that it would be one email sent for the whole family because every family member’s visa application is treated separately.

What about the BRC it is not a BRP. I just replaced it for a new one as the existing expired on August and my status changed for settled and came the new one with expiration of 31 Dec 2024

if you did not receive this email directly from the home office, it may not be possible to create your acocount or view your evisa yet. Please can you do this answer Home office don't send me Any email

This is one of the common problems some people have complained about lately. I suggested that if you tried accessing your account through the link in your email and it fails, try contacting the eVisa department. I showed how to do so in this video.

Most people’s BRP expires 31st December 2024 but their visa expires another date.
The most important thing is when your visa will expire should be on your eVisa. I am not an immigration advisor or consultant, call the government if you are having challenges.

Hello, I do not work because of my wife’s permanent illness, and I am on a 5-year visa. Does this affect the permanent residency, and does it change from a 5-year visa to a 10-year visa because I do not work? Thank you.

Apologies I don’t think I am in the best position to advise you because I am not an immigration solicitor or advisor.
There are many questions you will be asked for example, what type of visa does your wife and you have? Then you compare the requirements for ILR for that visa and check what areas you might not meet up with and find out whether there are provision for primary carers to a partner.

When scanning the chip I recommend you open your window,make every as bright as possible,make sure your camera is placed directly on the chip,just make your camera be direct on the chip no gaps..

You don't need to have an email from them asking you to create evisa before u do it.
I know people who have already done it even with getting an email to do so
They said you have to do so when they have set it up and sent you an email. That is the instruction on their website.
Of course some people are successful when they didn’t wait for the email.
But if you read this comment section, you will see some people complaining of having no form when they try to set it up without the email.
I wouldn’t suggest people should go against the instructions because there is still enough time till December 2024 unless it is urgent.

Follow any instructions you find in an email sent to you by the Home Office. The instructions will differ based on your status in the UK.

Hello. I've done mine too, and I was even sent an email to have access to my evisa, which I have viewed and confirmed the information. But, I received a message from the home office a few days ago that "We have noticed that you have not completed your Dependant Partner application".
What do you think I should do?
Cos the link in the email sent took me back to my evisa, and everything seems complete.

Apologies I have read about this situation before. I have only heard about this particular email when the main applicant is applies to switch visa without their dependents.
You might have to report this situation to the eVisa Helpline. Perhaps ask your dependent partner to complete their eVisa before you send a report.

It's beyond a joke. I registered using my BRP. when it comes to scanning my BRP card, the shite system tells me I'm using the wrong document. Seriously?

Hi Cynthia, I am a student and my visa is supposed to end in 2 years. But on my BRP it shows that it ends this December 2024. But when I am completing this form online, it says my brp expires in December as well. Is that fine?
Yes, you are meant to include the date on your BRP card (December 2024) but when you create your eVISA and UKVI account, it should be able to state that your eVisa will end in 2 years and not December 2024. All BRP cards will end in December 2024.

Yes, it is highly recommended that you wait. Though some people claimed that they were successful without waiting while some complained that there was no form when they tried it without getting an email.

It sounds like this is what everyone gets on a BRC, and the BRP holders get an e-visa? I have had sooo many problems with my share code when travelling back to the uk, so bad that airlines wouldn’t let me on the plane because they think I’m scamming them? WTF?
I’m tired of this and just want an evisa, because that is all they ask for every time, nobody knows or wants to know about a share code

If you are sure you completed all the sections including declarations before submitting, then you might have to wait. It took only 1 minute to receive both emails. Perhaps yours will take longer.
I would sign in and check again.

For my daughter 7 years after completing the chip scanning it is taking me automatically to take the photo and face scanning and at the beginning it says less than 9 do not need photo

When you receive your BRP, then you can convert it to an eVIsa before the deadline on 31st of December 2024. Don’t wait till the last minute as you can see from the numerous problems in the comment session, problems might arise and cause a delay. It could affect you getting a share code to give to your landlord and employer.

Hi, I registered using my passport. Is this creat any Problem? I am asking because each and every tutorial is showing their registration using brp.
I don’t think it should be a problem, infact when I did mine, there was an option to choose between the two. Nowadays, the UK Immigration ID check advised that you scan your BRP if you are not from the EU.
Someone said that their lawyer advised that they used their passport. The BRP and Passport will be linked in your eVisa.
Remember that I don’t work for the government. I am only sharing my perspective. If you are in doubt, call the government.

For some reason my full name is coming in the surname section leaving the given name section absolutely blank .

I don’t know what to suggest right now except try repeating the process.

I don’t think they need to do so. Follow the instructions on the website for people under EU scheme. If you get an email from the Home Office, follow the advice there.

To be sincere, I don’t know.
I know that your passport still remains your most important travel document and that by linking your BRP to your eVisa, the immigration authorities can access your visa status through your passport or BRP details.
I don’t think you have anything to worry about once you convert your BRP to an eVisa. The UK government wants to save some money from print new BRP cards especially when everything can be accessed via na online portal.
