Mark wasn't "ok" with nevada, but he realized that Dinosaurus' plan did actually work and that the tragedy brought a really great benefit to the earth, so he teamed up with Dinosaurus in hopes that he could make him help the earth without paying that great of a cost again.
Yea if Mark knew about Nevada ahead of time he would’ve fought Dinosaurus like he did with Allen and the virus

The first book is so slow with a lot of filler and sets up so much and then books two and three are basically non stop payoffs which is why a lot of people including me think this is their favorite superhero comic ever. It’s just such a satisfying story start from finish and they really don’t leave any loose ends at all with the final chapter wrapping up every possible what if scenarios imaginable. There is really only a few loose ends they leave but they’re mainly just cool little Easter eggs for the most part rather then them setting up a sequel comic.

This is one of the best comics ever bro
Something I love about this series is it takes your preconceived notions and tropes of super hero media and flips them on their head. Using that knowledge against you to tell a wholly unique story unlike any other I’ve ever read
Finally i met another Oliver fan , alot of people seem to not like him as much but i instantly fell in love with him the moment i saw his little purple face on thraxa.

I’m glad I got to see you experience the highs and lows I got the privilege to go through as well. I promise to watch more of your videos. I think my favorite moment in the series is in the end, when you see what happens in the future, and Mark pardons that king who tried to stab him, and when the king asks why he is pardoning him, Mark responds with: "That's the viltrumite way". I always got myself thinking about this, it's just so beautiful to see that Mark really changed the way viltrumites were. Also, great video, I'll definitely subscribe and see more of your content.
I think you thinking that the story was slow in the beginning stemmed from the fact that you had an allotted time to finish the series in. For a comic, this story actually goes by surprisingly fast
Good video. Really glad about your #1 moment choice, I think its a very underrated one and it does get me emotional too, it's incredible. Mark's speech to Terra while she's sleeping is really great too and is just as hard hitting.

Great video man I just read the whole thing a day ago it’s a shame more people haven’t heard of invincible especially the actual show but regardless I could stop thinking about it ever since I finished it and it was great to find someone to react and relate to the whole thing and honestly I would have loved if you made it longer and talked about more parts of the books.

I feel like a few things I loved like the invincible war and the first conquest fight were skimmed over kind of quickly but hey that’s just what I love. seeing someone appreciate this story and seeing all your live reactions to the page turns was incredible and gave me the same feeling I had when I first read it. Totally agree with you with the filler parts and the multiple plotlines. It is just to much. It feels like the writers just does not trust his own story so he creates just a bunch of sub stories to see what sticks!

I think the show did a great job of re-arranging some of the earlier filler plots and making them more relevant, but going forward, we're more into compendium 2 and 3 and I'm hoping they keep those mostly the same

I’m at day 2 and the whole reason his brother is “human” is because viltrumite DNA takes over 99.99% of the DNA of the child which means he is technically only 0.1% bug person
Just wanna say, most of the pacing problems the book has are related to the way comic issues sells work.
If an issue sells less than it should, the series gets cancelled, that’s just how the business works, Robert Kirkman’s way of trying to maintain people’s interests is by introducing a lot of different subplots and develop them through months or even years.
For example, the origin story of invincible is introduced in a single issue because if you tried to expand it further, the readers are just not gonna buy the next issue, you need to keep it interesting and action packed.
It is an actual problem for the storytelling, but that’s just how the business is so… it’s not entirely the writer’s fault

1:25:00 the point of showing the pov of the son was to show how the son did not have not nearly the same life as his sister but rather have the life of his dad.
it was the same for me reading, i got completlet bored half way through compendium 1. but i picked it back up and got through the whole rest od the series in like 7 days
