paint from any producer will never be Active Light Rejecting. It is not physically possible. The behaviour of the screen made of paint will have pseudo ALR properties and any screen paint manufacturer informing customers that the paint is ALR is misleading. Correct me if i am wrong but ALR screens have a special surface structure, usually micro channels, or micro holes, to which external light does not fall, or falls to a lesser extent on the reflecting layer of the screen. It is like a protective umbrella against unwanted light. The paint can not have such a structure. It can only get it’s properties closer to the effect, but it will never get rid of unwanted light. It will give the impression that in some conditions this light is simply not noticeable.
Absolutely! I'm glad somebody finally mentioned this. The ALR screens I've been looking at have the down facing ridges to only capture the light shining upward (especially from a UST projector). I knew this was dodgy as!
I have a concrete wall with some spots with smooth texture and the rest coarse textured that I painted flat black. I use a cheap projector just to see how big of an screen area I will need. My question is, when projecting, I can see the smooth texture patch work on the image. Do I need to smooth out the area I will paint with your product?
oil paint but make it matt...not glossy...wihte paint + black paint + a spoon or two of silver .....stir well...and mix them well then put and mix zinc oxide and petrol to make it matte ...roll on the surface as you selected for screen...use fan to fully dry it
