    Meant to mention an interesting factoid. When weighing the stock EXB chassis vs M2C Racing, I found M2C only added about 75g of weight 👀. Stock weighed 1076g. M2C was 1152g. 🍻😎💪👊👊

      It’s crazy how much stronger the m2c chassis are than stock considering the minimal weight difference.

      Curious what the weight of this beast with the lipos and everything. And speaking of weight, are there Basherqueen CF parts you could get to lighten this thing up some? You've fed way too many double doubles to this thing!

It's really an amazing machine to be able to jump that far and be so agile, it really is a superb example of what a great design the Arrma 8s models are. The M2C stuff is such great quality and the fitment is spot on, I've got the blocks all round and motor mount with the chassis on my k8s and it is such a beautiful build, just waiting for the exb rear turnbuckles to arrive in stock in Australia. • @richduperbash2966
      @richduperbash2966  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The stock and EXB braces all fit with the M2C chassis's. The braces are softer 6061 aluminum though and not as durable as 7075 aftermarket options. Specifically, the base of the brace can round off after enough hard use. The best brace designs utilize a through bolt design with M4 lock nut on top. Sheering bolts off in braces is a serious PITA 😂. On that note, grade 12.9 hardware is the best for higher stress connections. 😎💪👊👊

    Rich I had another question for you as you know I am looking into building out a 1/8 EXB myself from all my million other questions I have asked you so far LOL. How is it you wire up the batteries to the ESC when you end up using 2 packs? Since I know if you are able to run a single pack i.e. 6S, 4S, etc it is easy since you just have the 2 wires from the ESC with the single connector on it. But if you are running 6S or 8S and have to use multiple packs to how it is you connect the two batteries to the ESC if there is only a single connector there? I am have not seen a setup in person where I could just look and see how it is done. Only thing I picked up is in those instances there is a loopback adapter you need to use when you only use one battery instead of two.

    • @richduperbash2966
      @richduperbash2966  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aluminum arms are a bad idea for a basher. They add weight and once they're bent, they're usually trash. Arms have to have some flex or they'll just lead to other breakages such as hinge pins, suspension blocks, bulkheads, and hub carriers.

  • @Megasty15
    @Megasty15 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sick triple. I would love to have a spot like that. Way too many trees around here on anything that's not flat. I finally got my rig to the point where it's only bending CVDs. RPM arms are way too flexible, but they can take some wicket abuse. Def gonna get the shafts. Even if they last one more run than stock, they're worth it - since the stockers can't even last one run . . .

    Confusion regarding running 20mil diff fluid combined with silicon ear plugs... are the plugs being put in to thicken it up even more... somebody told me once that 20mil diff fluid is thicker than silicon ear plugs... but I'm not sure. If one were to run 100% silicon ear plugs in the center diff, what would be the equivalent cst, or mill rating?
    Also... just in general, what is the benefit fo running thicker material (such as silicon plugs) in the center diff, as apposed to 500k or 1 mill?

    • @richduperbash2966
      @richduperbash2966  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Soft silicone ear plugs are definitely thicker than 20mil cst. I'm not sure by how much 🤔. My guess is atleast twice the density just by feel. I usually mix 50/50 of each, but used more like 60/40 this time. The advantage is less power bleeding to the front wheels and simply ballooning and more power to the ground. 🍻😎💪👊👊

    • @richduperbash2966
      @richduperbash2966  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes...there are a few issues. The shock rods are a pain to cram into the arms. If I recall correctly, I had to use longer bolts to secure the sway arm pivots. I honestly don't like the 8s RPM arms 😝. This is after running them up front for awhile. No droop screw location 👎. They flex so much that other issues arise. Bent driveshafts and shock rods. Most everyone I run with has gone back to stock arms. They handle and perform better than the RPM arms. 🍻

    Rad Rich! Killin' it again brother! Thanks so much for all the pointers, tips, and tricks! Super stoked for the driveshafts from M2C! I've sheared off the cross pins on two of my CVD driveshafts on the 8s EXb so far... not sure if this is a design flaw or a bad batch of shafts. I've contacted H H for some replacements. Still waiting on that... Thanks again for the excellent vids dude, keep up the great work! BTW have you had any problems with the cross pins, or are you just bending these driveshafts? Anyone else in the comments having probs with the cross pins as well? I am running the HW 800kv Max5 combo with the same diff weights as Rich is, except 300k in the rear. Thanks!

      Thanks so much Brother 😜. I have actually busted several 8s crosspins and bent driveshafts. Not so much with my EXB, but definitely on my Outcast 8s and K8s RTR. I'm not sure it's a design flaw 🤔. I'm thinking it's a hardness issue with the material. I really noticed it running the belted Duratrax Six Packs X's and 840kv Hobbystar 😱🤣🤣. Seems like sudden hits on power (jumping a ledge or abrupt vertical face) would slow a wheel quickly enough to sheer the pin clean off 😝. I'm probably having better luck with the softer EXB tires and 980kv. Mitch's pins are a high grade hardened steel 😍🍻😎💪👊👊

Not too happy with that result but I figured I would chalk it up to my fault with non-perfect landings, and run the Duratrax. The funny thing is, I'm not jumping mine even a fraction of how high you are with yours. I maybe get 10-15 feet off the ground. Hmm, oh well it's all part of the hobby I guess. My motor will hit 160's running belted Duratrax Six Packs which are about the same size and weight as the new EXB Big Blocks (minus the ballooning). If your mesh, bearings, and connections are good, I would either gear down/wheel down or consider a fan. Not sure if you're running on grass, but that'll heat electronics up. Man it's such a small space between the arm and driveshaft even on the 6s models. That should be addressed but that means a whole new rear end design most likely. Does M2c make the driveshafts for the 6s? Great bash Rich! Have a great weekend!

    • @richduperbash2966
      @richduperbash2966  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much Brother 😜. Yeah spacing is tight. Rock guards would probably help some. Gravel pits and piles are a crap shoot every time 😂. Mitch and Avery will likely be offering all sorts of 6s and 8s shafts and other hardened steel upgrades with their new screw machine up and running 😱. They can even handle titanium options. The door has opened for all sorts of potential options. Have a great weekend too my friend!!!! 🍻😎💪👊👊

      @@richduperbash2966 I forgot about those arm guards. Might be an option. Good to hear about options! I finally have EXB chassis braces and changed out my diff fluid for the first time. Center diff was a bit tricky with the braces and getting the dog bones into the sleeves. Lol Newb issue. Had to take the braces all the way out. Anyways I bought gaskets for the diffs, somehow I only seem to find a gasket on the center diff, which leads me to believe there are now 2 gaskets on the f/r because I somehow didn't notice them which seems unlikely because how much I cleaned the housing...hell idk. 🤣 sorry for the novel

    Whole vid was great! But I especially love the beginning. 😊 I often take my Arrma rigs on nature "walks" with me down by the river to see what kind of spots I can find to rip them. 😁 Side note...any chance those beefed up drive shafts will be compatible with the Outcast 8s? 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Another awesome vid Rich. Love those RPM arms bro, got them on my 6S rig. Nice driveshafts too man. Is Mitch also working on a set for the 6S rigs? I threw a pin out of the diff side of my rear driveshaft on my last bash. Just pressed a ground down 3mm allen key into it today and seems to be good.
    Just saw that you have no covers over your shock rods. Aren’t they getting blasted with the rocks and grit coming off the front wheels?
    Lookin forward to the next vid brother. 😃👍🏼

      Thanks so much Brother 😜!!!! Nice fix with the Allen key 👊. Mitch will likely offer hardened 6s driveshafts soon. I believe they're just getting caught up with orders and newer projects at the moment. Their newest CNC machine has enabled them to produce all sorts of steel and titanium upgrades 😱. Appreciate the suggestion with the shock covers.🍻😎💪👊👊

    Sick as always! 🤘🏻 Hey man can I ask what lipos you use for ye 6s kraton? My exb has the same setup you use, max6 and the 1650 hobbystar but my lipos puff and get so hot man? I use 6s 6000mah HRB and 6s 5000mah nanotech? I don't think they're up to the job. Thanks man 👍🏻

    😮 Gravity? What Gravity? 😮 Killer ripping as always 👏. RPM did not good with the design of the arms 👎, it's just a shock rod end killer and hard on the shock piston all the time. They should know better that the hard basher needs that feature. AWESOME that M2C now makes these long turning pieces like drive shafts 👍👍👍 The extra weight from the M2C Chassis is worth it, girls like a little extra weight at the right spots even when overall less weight is always better. Bash on! 😘😘😘

    • @richduperbash2966
      @richduperbash2966  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much Kimberly 😍. RPM might want to start consulting the basher community before going full bore with their molds 👀. Little details like moving the stock 6s droop screw position have a significant impact. Not sure why they threw out the concept entirely with the 8s arms 😂. Mitch will be offering an assortment of hardened steel ARRMA shaft upgrades soon 👍. I was shocked to realize his K8s chassis is only 76g heavier than the stock EXB 8s one 😱. I'll take that extra weight in the right place any day 🥰🥰😋. Really appreciate your thoughtful comment as always. There's only one Basherqueen 😘😘😎💪👊👊
