- Out for a first bash with the newly built Arrma Kraton EXB 8s! This truck is a ground up build with all M2C upgrades! Running a Hobbystar 840kv 56112 motor and Max 5 ESC. 34/34 gearing with SAGA racing steel mod 1 gears. The truck took a total thrashing and powered through! Only breaks were a blown tire and two busted stock hinge pins. I want to give a HUGE thanks to M2C Racing for the sponsored build and all the beefcake parts! Also Arrma and Horizon Hobby for another awesome product in the EXB line!

It can do a number on the tires though 😱. Love the new construction spot Bro. Definitely a bit rough and chunky, but put a great test on these fine M2C prototypes we've been flogging on. It's mind boggling, but people sometimes forget these are 30+ lbs fully loaded 👀. Between EXB and M2C upgrades, these BIG suckers are on a level never seen before. Man Eric she definitely takes a beating. Absolutely bad ass build. I love these 8s rigs for just shear fact of how well they handle the rougher terrain. I have a few M2C bits on my K8S EXB like the M2C chassis, M2C hinge pin blocks, XLX2 esc plate mount. Waiting on those beefcake driveshafts from m2c to make it an even stronger tank. Good one as usual bud! Thanks for all the testing.

Great video brother Eric 👍 most people will never know what it’s like to drive a m2cified Arrma because it is pricey but honestly whatever rig you build full beefcake will make you not wanna buy rc’s anymore. At that point your wasting money cause nothing at all beats a full beefcake truck, these rigs withstand some super crazy abuse 💯💪

It’s nice seeing clips where you truly have the space to send these bashers flying and just really having the space to use the things as intended. I feel like that’s one of the issues with people breaking their bashers too quickly is trying to use powerful rigs in too small a space. Helps build those driver skills when you’re able to have a nice long run up and landing space.

It is. I'm running the XLX2 AND 1100KV motor with 35/47 gearing mine and it's an absolute monster. 58MPH on pavement and around 54mph on grass 🤣. Double backflips are easy to achieve. Hehe.

As always crazy good rc driving. When I get wild with my rcs they over heat pretty quick. My typhon v3 only goes about ten hard minutes with a 100c spec. 3s before it over heats with stock pinion. Really gets old and it has fans on motor and esc. All my traxxas do the same. I have a FTX 1/8 that I put a 120amp esc with a 3300kv long 3660 brushless that never over heats. It's over geared also and I don't get why my rtr cars over heat and my custom ftx doesn't. Drives me crazy.

Freight to NZ was 57$ for two shock shafts and 117$ for a chassis. These are USA dollars so an extra 30% for me. Freight kills it
Can’t believe how your A-arms are holding up for more than a second on this truck. I literally exploded four of the stock ones in mere minutes, they are so glassy. I would do RPM arms before any other upgrade on these trucks.
Yeah whole bash without an arm breaking🤔Usually during the warm months arms aren't a problem for me but in the winter yes, they shatter like glass!👀RPM arms are great but have no area for droop screw or droop control. Puts a lot of strain on the shocks so that is the next week point.😱
@@RCDUDE81 I 3D printed a little foamy TPU piece to but in front of the shock piston to slightly limit it’s travel and dampen it on full extensions. Haven’t had any issues since with that. Stock CVDs will still bend on gnarly landings, but they are so easy to hammer straight, blast with a heat gun to take out the strain and keep rocking, same goes for the turnbuckles.
Another issue I am working on currently is the heavy cans on these beasts being unsupported in the far end. It’s absolutely nuts how beat up my chassis is under the motor, meaning this stuff is flexing well beyond its comfort. I am on revision 3 of a really nice concept of a motor support + fan mount + cooling shroud in a single piece. I am very very confident that this will be a winner. If you got a 3D printer handy that can do somewhat exotic materials like PA or PC, I can do a version that fits your motor geometry and send you the STL if you wanna try it out. I share all my designs freely, so no issues :)
I am personally very reluctant to pour more weight into especially my K8 EXB, as it is already a darn heavy truck. Do you mind sharing what kind of upgrades you feel have the greatest impact with the least addition to weight?
I have tried to do the exact opposite of beefcaking on my Talion, and the result is absolutely outstanding. The main thing I did was to 3D print shock towers in PA12 with carbon fibers. This makes for towers with about the same stiffness as the original stamped aluminium ones, but completely unbreakable and weighs nothing. It seems to be saving all manner of other parts on the truck too. I kept torturing it on massive drops with no damage what so ever: th-cam.com/video/4Nm9wPEuUPc/w-d-xo.html

Are they the stock exb shocks? On there website it says their 7mm upgrade doesn't fit the exb
Performs great coz it's a total upgrade. Unfortunately the Arrma stock wont do any of this and i have seen folks breaking into pieces within a couple jumps. The point is that any machine that's been upgraded will perform to expectations.

I would like to know how the engine doesn't heat up using these gear configurations! Because I use 35/39 with a max5 esc and a hobbystar 780kv and the engine temperature is over 200F 😕 Do you have any idea why this is happening? Thank you.

It seems like hard-core professional users should not buy this new in box but instead buy all the best parts and build it from scratch since the stock chassis bends and A arms break easily on diagonally landings. I already regret buying mines. I should of built from scratch. I guess the same story with the new Outcast EXB. Great video thanks for sharing. 👍😀

I jumped mine like 5 times up a quarter pipe onto grass and broke a rear arm didn’t jump anywhere near as high as you are in this video

How do you like the Saga gears vs using the limitless spool gears? I’m running my 8S 800kv w 34/34 gearing.
Saga gears are a bit fatter and have two grub screw locations. Other than that both work just fine!
Awesome build for sure. Any heat issues with that gearing? I have a hobbywing 800kv motor I was thinking about running that gearing or maybe 33/34

Rich Duperbash had a pretty good review on the new belted Proline Masher x's. Also the Duratrax Lockup x's are a great belted tire just a little heavy.😎👊
crazy video bro! do you have problems with your car cutting out on full power pulls with 34 34 gearing. i am running the same setup but i have the hobbywing 800kv motor and under full power pulls it wants to go into limp mode for a second. i thought it was my batteries but upgraded to highest c rating i could find. just wondering if its the motor or if you have the same issue? other that the cars a tank
Haven't had that problem🤔Usually only thing that will cause that is weak batteries. Good you went high C rating! What lipos are they?
@@RCDUDE81 powerhobbys 8000mah 120c graphene packs... i turned the punch down from 5 to 3 which helped a little. the only other thing i can think to do is try a capitcer or another motor. i really dont want to drop the gearing down because i love the power it has and it stays cool enough.
Hey man, do you solder on 6.5 bullets for the hobbystar motor? I tried adapters so itll work with the max5, but it seems like heat and vibration keeps loosening them back up.
Yes I resolder on correct bullets. It's a pain but worth it!

Is that 20mil better for center diff than earplugs I've went thur 2 center diffs but with stock fluids on my 8s exb
I've never tried earplugs but 20mill works well for me.

Witch one do you like best out of the outcast exb 8s or kraton exb 8s
Both are about the same being rollers. Once equipped it's all about what driving experience you want. Kraton will hold down power and be faster. Outcast is better for stunts, flips etc. Both about the same durability stock.😎👊

I bought the 5687 today for my kraton 8s and i thought it would be more speed since it has more kv

I got the 1250kv in it now and i ordered the 5687 now.. its a tad bigger and less kv.. i wanna put 39T spur and 28 pinion on it
That should be a good setup!👌In my latest vid with the Outcast 8s EXB I was trying 39/30. Wicked fast but got a little too hot. 28 or 29 pinion should be a sweet spot with 39 spur on the 1100kv.

Imho get you a good set of belted tires if you're running big power. The new Proline Masher x's or the Duratrax Sixpacks for the Kraton 8s. That will save you some headaches!😆👊🤘🤘
