I am 71. Was a first responder for 16 years. Fire and rescue. I taught CPR courses for several years. I can tell this little one was paying close attention to the instructor.😊
It is so adorable, watching this tiny child/toddler doing the maneuvers for CPR. Sure she doesn’t have the strength for adequate compressions nor does she have enough lung power to give true rescue breaths, but she is very smart. I was also a CPR instructor for over 20 years and this would be a very cute video to use at the beginning of the CPR classes - - PLUS - - I believe that after watching this, the CPR students would be less tense.
I'm a 25 year nurse and I can tell you from first hand experience that kids pick this stuff up so fast. The older kids are actually better at it than some adults.
As a first aid instructor, I agree. This baby is good, but similar attempts are actually not that uncommon when I teach mothers groups & the babies are present in the classes. I also have a history of the youth group version of first aid in my country & we teach from 8 years old & the kids are almost always really good, often better than the adults. Emotional issues was always my focus, cause I found adults would freak out & leave the kids to deal with traumas inappropriately. I had one incident where the 11 year old was upset they didn't manage to complete the entire a4 paperwork page cause the parent of the injured child was too distressed. Kid had been crushed in a merry go round accident & apparently had a chunk out of their leg. I assumed exaggeration, until they told me that someone on scene had already "stuffed a teatowel into the hole" before they arrived. 1x11 year old & 1x12 year old I had trained handled that with no adult supervision, cause the adult had gone on a lunch break & left them in charge of the first aid room. I was very proud of those kids!
There are a lot of things that kids and Teens can do better than Adults, but at some point they lack the decision making skills that comes with Age and experience

Amanda Hernandez Sounds good in theory until they express happiness over the news of the first official gay marriage in Idaho or something and religious folks and homophobes get upset. Or they express happiness over news of Trump beginning plans on building the wall and liberals get upset.
ApartmentViews Yes but this situation is a *baby.* Hardly anyone gets upset about that. If they do, they are commonly looked down upon by the masses. In any case, when faced with bias and your job is to be neutral, be neutral. It's what they are trained to do. By not showing bias you are "Meh" to the audience, but they don't hate you. If you show bias then you're making the ratings go down. Now, here's the part where you gotta navigate some humane responses. If you find something cute, that you're absolutely sure the masses would agree with. You should be able to show emotion. Making yourself personable and charming is what makes people come back again to see you. Just as if you expressed sadness at the loss of a life, it shows your empathy. As long as you can act it then it's fine either way. It doesn't matter if you feel it. Give formal words, and a sorry tone. This should be practiced, to have personable actions.

Yeah it been a really long time but my little bro when he was a baby was able to copy adult behavior and speech much better than I think we older kids could.

It's kind of sad these reporters can't show their emotions on air and feel the need to stifle them. Like they're expected to be mindless robots or something.
Amanda Hernandez That would not make it news but entertainment. "...wow what a tragedy. Now back to me."
Grow up and get used to humorless convorsations.
ALovelyTsundere
That wouldn't make it "entertainment," it would make them relatable people.
zachanikwano relatable how is the question? Relateable in selfish "about me moments"? Because nothing about murder and crime is relatable to me.
Amanda Hernandez Sounds good in theory until they express happiness over the news of the first official gay marriage in Idaho or something and religious folks and homophobes get upset. Or they express happiness over news of Trump beginning plans on building the wall and liberals get upset.
ApartmentViews Yes but this situation is a *baby.*
Hardly anyone gets upset about that.
This baby knows cpr. That means every single adult should really know cpr.

@OriginalPuro Usually news reporters say what they're told to in a cold, robotic tone. When they go off-script like this, they break away from that demeanor and show that they ARE human and not just something reading off of a script.
