When Donald kinda broke their deal during Tarzan, Sora was gonna storm off and was gonna ditch them and find his friends by himself again. Of course, that wouldn't work, he needs their gummi ship. They play it off as FRIENDSHIP but really, Sora's a sitting duck (ha ha) without them. Then he finds Riku, and Donald's all "I don't care!" When he should, cause that's the reason he's travelling with you in the first place, remember? And Riku's clearly got the ability to travel worlds since he wasn't in Traverse Town prior. What would've happened if Riku didn't emo out of the situation, Donald? Why stay with you?

Hades for the preliminaries of the games, Jafar to find Jasmine and control the entrance of the Cavern of Wonders, Ursula was not shown but we know she was, Maleficent declares her power over them, and Hook had a crew of them! The biggest sin with Huey, Dewey, and Louie is that we find out in Birth By Sleep, they are like 10 years old…Ten years later in Kingdom Hearts I, they are still ten years old!
Given this and Birth By Sleep's character-arriving-at-world timing, it's safe to say the passage of time is wacky between and throughout different worlds. I'm talking relativity on all the crack in the world.

They are small rowboats and they live in an archipelago. Those boats are basically their bikes and the raft is what they would have used as their car for a roadtrip.

Panda Hat Productions Probably because they were trying to showcase their most prominent attributes. For example, Goofy as a Turtle makes sense given that his primary weapon is a shield with defense being his strong point and the turtle represents strong defense. Donald's strength lies in spell-casting, so they most-likely wanted his design to resonate with Ursula, who is also gifted in spell-casting. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but food for thought. :P

i always interpreted riku’s decision to stay behind the door as sacrificial or even somewhat suicidal, some sort of self condemnation because of his actions throughout the game. he had no reason to think he’d survive
I haven't ever played the game but I'd have to agree. ...Especially since even though I haven't played the game a lot of the _OTHER_ games I play and animes I watch tend to use this trope _FREQUENTLY._ Childhood friend and/or someone who has a close relationship/connection to at least one of the protagonists (but they didn't necessarily know each other until the events of the story...so like they could be twin siblings who were separated at birth and then one of them (usually the one that falls to the dark side) finds out about the other one's existence and tries to find them but then plot stuff happens...*coughDigimoncough...alsokindofTalesofAbyssbutthat'sabitdifferent...andalsoTalesofDestinybuttheyweren'tactuallytwins*) ends up falling to the dark side and fighting against you. In the end they're redeemed...kind of? To some extent? And they end up sacrificing themselves to save the heros/world/whatever fully expecting to die which sometimes actually does happen but then sometimes they somehow survive or get revived. I don't know if it's just because I play a lot of JRPGs/watch a lot of anime but I see that trope A LOT. Makes it kind of easy to figure out when it's being used...
Missed Sins: (Pardon them not always being in chronological order.) #1: Why couldn't Kairi, Sora, and Riku just split the paopu fruit into three pieces? Does it only have a limit of 2 people who can participate? #2: Also, is that the only paopu fruit on the island? Because if it isn't, why are they so concerned about who shares it with Kairi? #3: Sora doesn't tell his friends about a trippy-ass dream where he's on stain glass platforms fighting his own shadow with a weapon that "Mysterious Text Man" told him to pick. #4: Phil doesn't feel the need to turn around before talking. #5: No one questions the existence of an anthropomorphic dog and duck with a shield and magic, respectively, walking around with a kid whacking things with a giant key. #6: Riku trusts Maleficent. #7: Jasmine doesn't pull the box in as much as possible, and sit to minimize chances of being caught. #8: How does Ursula breath outside of water? I had this question in The Little Mermaid too, but I'm sinning this game for it, dammit. #9: Triton knows what the Keyblade is, knows what the Keyhole is, knows WHERE it is, knows their importance, and yet denies this information to Sora until after he defeats Ursula, which is putting his entire WORLD at risk. Triton is a fucking terrible ruler. #10: Maybe if you didn't have the Heartless populate the streets which don't add a tactical advantage to doing anything, then there would be more heartless to back you up during your fight with Sora and co. #11: You have Sora surrounded by Heartless, his own shadow, and Captain Hook. What benefit is there to not killing him then and there? It's obvious Riku doesn't give a shit about him anymore, that's for sure. #12: Inconsistency in regards to facial animation quality. #13: Rhyming. #14: Tiggerific first impression, pal. I guess. #15: So.... Why exactly was Riku's outfit necessary? In this game, at least? And what was Riku's thought process when coming up with his new dark outfit? How does Sora retain a sense of self? @@theidlecarnival1361 The manga is actually really good! Well, no, let me modify that: the KH1 manga is just okay, and feels more than a bit rushed. But they followed that up with a Chain of Memories manga that's fantastic, and a KH2 manga I haven't read, and a 358/2 Days manga that's really good. It's great stuff, and at times the dialog and interactions feel much more natural than in the games.
Also, Alice is a "princess of heart" because they were originally going to use Ariel, but in order to do so they would've had to create the scene where Ursula gave her legs and that would've taken a lot more work and time to change the story so they chose Alice instead.
Also, at the end, before the little land Kairi was on got to far, WHY DIDN'T SHE JUST JUMP?!?! IT WASN'T THAT FAR, PLUS THEY WERE HOLDING HANDS, DORA COULD HAVE JUST HELPED HER UP! I NEVER understood that.

After replaying *_Kingdom Hearts_* after like what, 15 years, I just realized that the Princesses of Hearts have absolutely no point, characteristically. If you look back at how each princess Sora and the gang encounter, they’re pretty much helpless objects that need saving. You can literally switch the princesses, Belle, Alice, Snow White and Jasmine with an all-powerful gems and it wouldn’t be any different. Kiari went from a person with ambition and goals at the very beginning to a comatose mannequin that Riku drags around like his personal sex doll. Couldn’t the game writers had made the Princesses all Keyblade Wielders? It would’ve made sense story wise since we discovered later in the series that there are hundreds-if not *thousands* of Keyblade wielders in the universe. IDK, just think that was a major missed opportunity that could’ve made this great game even greater, IMO.
M Burks Wrong. The Princesses of Heart were the ones keeping the Darkness from pouring out of the Keyhole in Hollow Bastion by their natural abilities AS PRINCESSES OF HEART. They tell Sora this when he come back to them.

Gotta remember when this game came out, this was just around the time that the girls in Disney moves started to have a little more agency. It IS Disney princess always need saving. And it was likely part of the deal. Want Disney? MUST have the princesses to promote. And can't break the defined characters of most of them who they themselfs were pretty useless in a fight/needed saving often enough. Even Jasmin, who showed had a freeking tiger that listened to her, and was shown to have agality and skills was made as thing to be rescued by end of Aladin. Still, that being said I would have love to see Belle beat heartless with a pile of books. Or have the good fairies do more then make clothing fighting along side Aurora.

Ok I laughed a lot here. I could almost predict every sin. It's a convoluted nightmare half the time, isn't it? And yet, somehow, it's one of my favorite video game series. One thing I'd like to point out, and really it's not even that big of a deal, is that Riku disappeared into a dark portal on Hook's ship, which was the last we saw him in that world, and that's how he got to Hollow Bastion. Like I said, not a big deal, just had to point that out.
And we also saw him use one such portal in Monstro right before the second Parasite Cage fight, even before Maleficent gave him power over the Heartless. So that's twice now we saw him use a dark portal to make an exit stage left and Charriii5 still thinks that Riku can swim to other worlds.
When I first played this game and Riku gave Sora the fruit, my first thought was "didn't you guys just share it?" Glad someone else finally pointed it out.

Im a KH fan but no body can say that the series makes any kind of rational sense. It is the ultimate example of style over substance. It is very stylish and i like the exciting combat and disney crossovers thoguh.

just cause someone's 16 doesn't mean they're a little girl. A teenager is right in the middle, not a child, but not an Adult. It's called respect, and Ariel's dad didn't respect her because she didn't respect him. It goes both ways, plus the dad was a douche often times to Ariel instead of just calmly explaining to her WHY he doesn't want her interacting with Sora and other humans. So it's really just an unhealthy relationship. So instead of treating her like a little kid, King Triton should've tried to build a better relationship with her instead of treating her like an idiot. It's his own fault.
Is it just me, or Donald and Goofy have completely wiped everything that happened in BBS white? They DID met Keyblade's wielders in the past, three of them, and for sure they know that Mickey is one of them. So, i don't understand why Mickey tell them 'to find the key', instead of 'look for other keyblade's wielders. The more, the best'. Alongside that, in KH2 they are even surprised that Yen Sid lives in the Mysterious Tower, and a hole in memory does not make sense since they do looked out for Mickey during his traininig, even witnessing his promotion to Keyblade Master. For example, Goofy as a Turtle makes sense given that his primary weapon is a shield with defense being his strong point and the turtle represents strong defense. Donald's strength lies in spell-casting, so they most-likely wanted his design to resonate with Ursula, who is also gifted in spell-casting. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but food for thought. :P

i always interpreted riku’s decision to stay behind the door as sacrificial or even somewhat suicidal, some sort of self condemnation because of his actions throughout the game. he had no reason to think he’d survive

I don't know if it's just because I play a lot of JRPGs/watch a lot of anime but I see that trope A LOT. Makes it kind of easy to figure out when it's being used...

But they followed that up with a Chain of Memories manga that's fantastic, and a KH2 manga I haven't read, and a 358/2 Days manga that's really good. It's great stuff, and at times the dialog and interactions feel much more natural than in the games.

After replaying *_Kingdom Hearts_* after like what, 15 years, I just realized that the Princesses of Hearts have absolutely no point, characteristically.
If you look back at how each princess Sora and the gang encounter, they’re pretty much helpless objects that need saving. You can literally switch the princesses, Belle, Alice, Snow White and Jasmine with an all-powerful gems and it wouldn’t be any different. Kiari went from a person with ambition and goals at the very beginning to a comatose mannequin that Riku drags around like his personal sex doll.
Couldn’t the game writers had made the Princesses all Keyblade Wielders? It would’ve made sense story wise since we discovered later in the series that there are hundreds-if not *thousands* of Keyblade wielders in the universe.
IDK, just think that was a major missed opportunity that could’ve made this great game even greater, IMO.
M Burks Wrong. The Princesses of Heart were the ones keeping the Darkness from pouring out of the Keyhole in Hollow Bastion by their natural abilities AS PRINCESSES OF HEART. They tell Sora this when he come back to them.

And can't break the defined characters of most of them who they themselfs were pretty useless in a fight/needed saving often enough.
Even Jasmin, who showed had a freeking tiger that listened to her, and was shown to have agality and skills was made as thing to be rescued by end of Aladin.
Still, that being said I would have love to see Belle beat heartless with a pile of books. Or have the good fairies do more then make clothing fighting along side Aurora.

Ok I laughed a lot here. I could almost predict every sin. It's a convoluted nightmare half the time, isn't it? And yet, somehow, it's one of my favorite video game series.
One thing I'd like to point out, and really it's not even that big of a deal, is that Riku disappeared into a dark portal on Hook's ship, which was the last we saw him in that world, and that's how he got to Hollow Bastion. Like I said, not a big deal, just had to point that out.
And we also saw him use one such portal in Monstro right before the second Parasite Cage fight, even before Maleficent gave him power over the Heartless. So that's twice now we saw him use a dark portal to make an exit stage left and Charriii5 still thinks that Riku can swim to other worlds.
When I first played this game and Riku gave Sora the fruit, my first thought was "didn't you guys just share it?" Glad someone else finally pointed it out.
