When I watch a snesdrunk video I can count with two things: having an awesome video with a great review, and having a bunch of references to people I’ve never heard about in my whole life. Not disappointed.
SNES drunk, I recently stumbled upon this random SNES game called 'Hurricanes' and it's this weird soccer/Donkey Kong crossover (that's probably giving it too much praise lol). Not sure if you've ever covered it, but would love to see a video on it sometime! :D
Hurricanes is not great but it is rare, so if you have it, congrats. But as a game, it’s not good. I just found out recently that it’s not a regular soccer game but more like a platformer similar to Kid Kleets. I’m sure he’d tell you to avoid it. Probably better than Kid Kleets at the least.
Remember seeing the tv series when I was 9 in 1993 until I was 12 in 1996 on nbc it was a good tv series basically a underwater version of star trek tng 😈

it would be fun to see your 20 best super nintendo games. The essential snes games video is already 7 years old. and with so many games you have played it would be fun to see how your taste in games evolved and changed.
I hadn't seen this in years when one day my dad, my sister, and I were at a bed-and-breakfast. There was satellite television, and I wanted to watch SeaQuest DSV because I hadn't seen it in years. My sister wanted to watch Home Improvement because she wanted to see Jonathan Taylor Thomas, even though she could have just as easily done so at home. In the end, neither of us got to watch what we wanted, because my dad is scrupulously fair.
THAT'S the game I've been half-remembering for the past 20 years! I remember renting this as a kid and liking it. But then I forgot the name of it and could never find it again. I was starting to wonder if I had dreamed the whole thing. Now I need to go try playing it again to see if it's half as fun as I remember.
I got this game for christmas one year. A real "Lee Caravello's Putting Challenge" moment for me as I tried to act like I was excited so I didn't hurt my mom's feelings.
Nice to hear my hometown Phils getting some love and, yes, that '93 team was awesome. But, if you want a rather sobering account of that season and/or team, pick up a book called Macho Row that came out a couple years ago.
This looks like the kind of game that an inde developer could really flesh out to be something special. Make the missions procedural, and maybe have rogue-like collectable upgrades, and refine the mechanics, and you could have something really cool.
“Unspectacular, but solid” is a fair assessment of the show, too, if I recall. Among the Star Treks and Babylon 5 of its time, it was kind of just there, but didn’t make any major waves (pun intended).
I was just thinking of this show recently and how good it was for its time. Completely forgot there was a game of it. Comparing it to Star trek next gen reminded of this comedy show we had in Australia back then with Eric Bana before he got famous. Everyone on the bridge kept using star trek terms like warping and beaming which pissed off the captain. He insisted this wasn't star trek when someone said klingons were boarding and then suddenly Eric Bana shows up dressed as Worf with a brown painted plastic crap stuck to his forhead. I still piss myself laughing every time I think of it.
