    Thanks for your review. I've set WR's in WRC with mine, it is a fine piece of equipment. The Thrustmapper software is especially helpful for fine tuning. Also, when I accidently broke the headphone jack, TM support was terrific in sending me a new body at no cost. With both bodies I've had, the triggers on each one eventually started to "flicker", meaning they wouldn't hold a steady value when partially engaged...which, after contacting TM support was fixed with a simple calibration procedure they sent me (I repeat it often to keep them precise). Had issues with stick drift on the S2 but never the S5's. My bumper did break too, on the first body, it is pivoting by design on a very thin piece of plastic that simply cracked rendering the bumper unclickable. I sent back the "steering wheel" module they made, way too awkward for precise driving commands. I wish in the future they focus on the ergonomics of the grips a bit, widen them out to better fill in the palm. Really enjoyed using it with Halo / Mass Effect, too.

    HE stick modules would be amazing. But even with that, the jitter, jumping will be there. What helped me with the funky sticks, is some electronic contact cleaner (I used the brand Nigrin but I'm sure it will work with any similar). Once applied, I have peace for 2-3 weeks from jitter. I just love the bigger controller size of the thrustmaster products. It's fitting my hands like a glove

    The eswap X2 is about to get released in January 2024. I already preordered mine.
    Just to add to your video: I don’t think the modules on the S2 and S5 are the same! The tension between both of them feels different. The S5 are much softer and I’m pretty sure it is not just because of the longer shaft.

    • @thephototechy
      @thephototechy  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey that’s interesting coz I opened all of them and found them to be the same. I’ve actually changed my S5 caps with the S2. It could be they’ve used a different actual spring in them, or the fact the thumb caps are much heavier for the S5 compared to the S2.

    • @daimajutheone4449

      @@thephototechy I think it has to be the spring. I’m absolutely convinced they feel different in terms of resistance / tension. Just to add to your video: I own both of them: The eswap S and the X and both of them developed some serious jitter, the S after half a year, the X after pretty much a whole year. I never dropped them, I put them into a display case after I’m finished playing to protect them from dust, but still they developed it. And it is quite strong. I ordered some replacement modules for the first time, beforehand I bought the same controllers again, because the modules were sold out / not available here in Germany.

    love this controller when it works but i have owned 2 thrustmaster controllers (eswap x and s) and the triggers break very easily (shoot by themselves or shot twice when you do 1 click) and thumbsticks get jitter or break quite easily. been using scuf envision recently because got tired of having to constantly replace the thumbsticks if the new eswap 2 has new triggers and improved reliability of thumsticks i might get one in future but il wait for your review of it because im sure you will get one eventually ;)

    Im curious about deadzones because they are make or break for me. I hear axial deadzones in some of your vids. What deadzones are used on a standard ps5 dualsense or an eswap? Ps5 deadzones feel the best to me out of all that ive tried.

    • @thephototechy
      @thephototechy  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey thrustmaster don’t use axial deadzones and also offer a true 0 deadzone option. They do have a outer maximum deadzone that’s fixed, unlike PS5 controller that don’t have a minimum deadzone, no axial deadzone and no outer maximum deadzone. So the Dualsense will use the physical thumbstick gate as the maximum deadzone and Eswap controllers will have a software baked one, but it’s very accurately calibrated on Eswap controllers.
      The Eswap controllers will feel a bit more snappy to aim with compared to the Dualsense, as within the maximum threshold the Eswap response is a bit quicker than dualsense. Victrix Gambit would be the closest to a dualsense in term of radial output and no maximum deadzones, it that one has a minimum deadzone that can put some people off. Gamesir G7 would be another close one in feel to dualsense but also has maximum outer deadzones. If the Razer V2 chroma didn’t have the minimum deadzones then that’d be the closest to the dualsense, but the dualsense is a unique one, with no minimum and max deadzones and no axial deadzones.
