Stockfish 15 continues to push the boundaries of chess, providing unrivalled analysis and playing strength. In our testing, Stockfish 15 is ahead of Stockfish 14 by 36 Elo points and wins nine times more game pairs than it loses.
Improvements to the engine have made it possible for Stockfish to end up victorious in tournaments at all sorts of time controls ranging from bullet to classical and even at Fischer random chess. At CCC, Stockfish won all of the latest tournaments: CCC 16 Bullet, Blitz and Rapid, CCC 960 championship, and the CCC 17 Rapid. At TCEC, Stockfish won the Season 21, Cup 9, FRC 4 and in the current Season 22 superfinal, at the time of writing, has won 16 game pairs and not yet lost a single one.
This progress is the result of a dedicated team of developers that comes up with new ideas and improvements. For Stockfish 15, we tested nearly 13000 different changes and retained the best 200. These include the fourth generation of our NNUE network architecture, as well as various search improvements. To perform these tests, contributors provide CPU time for testing, and in the last year, they have collectively played roughly a billion chess games. In the last few years, our distributed testing framework, Fishtest, has been operated superbly and has been developed and improved extensively. This work by Pasquale Pigazzini, Tom Vijlbrief, Michel Van den Bergh, and various other developers is an essential part of the success of the Stockfish project.
Indeed, the Stockfish project builds on a thriving community of enthusiasts to offer a free and open-source chess engine that is robust, widely available, and very strong. We invite our chess fans to join the Fishtest testing framework and programmers to contribute to the project.

With this attack you can destroy the Pirc or Modern defense easily.The setup f2-f3, Be3 and Qd2 is commonly used against the King's Indian Defence and Dragon Sicilian, and can also be used against the Pirc; indeed, this system is as old as the Pirc itself.
The system 4.f3 was introduced by Argentine players c. 1930 and again in 1950. It was never considered dangerous for Black because of 4.f3 Bg7 5.Be3 c6 6.Qd2 b5. It received a severe blow in about 1985, when Gennady Zaichik showed that Black could castle anyway and play a dangerous gambit with 5...0-0 6.Qd2 e5.
The Argentines feared the sally ...Ng4, though some British players (especially Mark Hebden, Paul Motwani, Gary Lane, later also Michael Adams) came to realise that this was mainly dangerous for Black, therefore playing Be3 and Qd2 in all sorts of move orders, whilst omitting f2-f3. They called this the 150 Attack, because players of this strength (ELO 1800) can easily play this position and get strong play without any theory.[10]
The original Argentine idea probably is only viable after 4.Be3 Bg7 5.Qd2 0-0 6.0-0-0 c6 (or Nc6) 7.f3 b5 8.h4. Black usually does not castle though and prefers 5...c6 or even 4...c6. The question of whether and when to insert Nf3 remains unclear.

Theoretical novelties are so plenty from this Stockfish-player, that we might need to name some variations by fishes. Is this a sturgeon variation or maybe a pike variation?

I just love the games by Stockfish with the black pieces, Alpha-zero played some incredible games with black also.
It is very clear that AI and in this case Stockfish will show novelties to existing openings in general. For chesslovers this is ofcourse unique and awsome. I think the modern top Gms have learned so much from Stockfish about possitions and structures on the board! Love your analysing and explanations, really awsome!
My only fear is, after ai has shown all novelties for the chess openings, will openings for top gms not become very predictable as they all will copy Ai and the best moves for any opening? time will tell.
For me I don't want to see a detailed analysis of every move.
Move 64... a7 makes no sense, the evaluation goes from -1 to -4.5, how did Leela miss evaluate the position so badly? I believe the people who put these games on are just giving wins to stockfish to get people to jump on the stockfish band wagon. Im really considering unsubscribing to your channel because these games seem rigged. Time after time, I analyze these games myself and it just seems like in drawish positions the engine that is not stockfish throws a draw. It is like Leela and other engines have been setup to not draw, even at the cost of losing but what gets me if Leela would rather lose then draw, why would she play so solidly in beginning? If she would have taken chances sooner, play more aggressively sooner understanding that if she gets to a drawn endgame that she would (setup to push for a win even at the cost of losing aka:gamble)make a mistake cus she would rather lose then draw. Why not play aggressively earlier on in the game. It makes no sense to setup a engine to not play aggressively but yet she is setup to not want to draw? Why not set her up with wanting draws and play solidly rather then play solidly and not want draws those characteristics need to mirror each other. if you don't want to draw then play aggressively if you want to draw play solidly. The way the organizers and creators of Leela have her setup is confusing. This game was 0.000 all the way through and stockfish began to get a advantage around move 55. but still was drawable. But then at move 64 she played that a7 move, witch even a human can see that is a mistake(big mistake). And if these games are 1 hour for each player plus bonus time at move 40 I can't imagine Leela being low on time at move 64. I believe these games are rigged. I've been following you and these games for a long time and it is SUS. It is not genuine chess and seems like the organizers care more about money then actually the game itself.

@@Jozarovschesschannel yea but it just seems like it's rigged that's all I'm saying. You should say something to the organizers or ask them about it. Cus you no it's like that every game with these engines. It's just not 1 here or there it's every game. There are anomalies in every game and it just looks rigged. I like the content I just don't like it when it seems like a conspiracy or something is rigged. Specially when chess is a game. The world is already corrupt enough don't no why chess organizers have to corrupt such a beautiful game. But maybe I'm wrong but I don't feel like I am and it's just kinda irritating to me that the tcec organizers are pushing stockfish when it may not be the best engine. But when the help of the people in control it is. Just seems fake. So maybe you should talk to the the people at tcec and ask them some of the issues I'm bringing to your attention.
@@Jozarovschesschannel fyi you analyze these games and post content using games from the tcec competition wouldn't you like to know why these engines make moves like example in this game at move 62... Rook a8 then move 64... a7? I mean if I was creating content for my TH-cam channel and the using material that seemed rigged or otherwise faulty or fake I for 1 wouldn't make the content using that material 2. Or at least find out why it is the way it is and then explain to my veiwers why or the issues or give some context otherwise I would just change the material that I would be covering because I wouldn't want to be associated with something is not genuine or legit or at least not have a full understanding why it is not the way it seems in reality. If my reality don't match with that I'm seeing I wanna no why then from there determine weather or not the material is worth covering otherwise I could be labeled a puppet or someone who is corrupt just saying.
@@knuckleheadfitness1127 We all agree that 64.a7 is a blunder, The cause might be time trouble or a bug in that version of Leela. If chess engines never made mistakes we would see comments complaining about too many draws.
@@knuckleheadfitness1127 Watch many Lc0 games? When it loses, it's usually a spectacular endgame blunder with little time left on its clock.

It is amazing that I have around 650 games in the Chessbase Megadatabase 2022 with the position at 4:45 after 9.Bd3 but there are no games with the continuation 9...Bd7. 14 other moves have been played. It is a surprise that nobody has ever tried ...Bd7 in a serious game. Someone must have considered it at some point. There is a game in the online database Karl Heinz Kahl - Wolfgang Muster from an email game in 2013 that reached the position by transposition. Black played 8...Bd7 then 9...0-0.

And another anomaly is at move 62...rook a8 takes the evaluation from 0.0 to -1 then at move 64... a7 takes the game from -1.0 to -4.0 again suspicious as hell and I think it's rigged and kinda bullshit.
Even engines don't see every line.
