    Hey Alex! It would be really cool if you made some videos on the Catalan. I would love to watch some videos of you playing some people with that opening.

    I love your content.... Has helped my game a lot... Although the Caro-Kann is a enjoyable I often get flagged, on games I would have won, due to all the new lines that I have to figure out. Thanks. Love your style and I will keep practicing the CKann , lots of fun.

    Game 1 advanced was really interesting. Magnus appears to adapt to a kind of Lputian variation of the advanced french where ...Nh6 signature. Which had some tests by Lputian, Korchnoi and Radjabov in the late 90's, early 2000s. Magnus appears to forgo the typical Qside french expansion and chooses solid qside and undermining the center dark squares and an eventual kingside attack. Interesting as in the Lputian black often just plays around the dark squared center with light square dominance and going for the usual c-file advantage. Using dark squared B on e7 for defense. Turns out white taking the N on h6 usually didn't turn out well as without the B white often has nothing with Blacks king usually pretty safe. Appears maybe here as well.

    I think it would be a good idea to turn off the engine while analyzing the position. While it's true that the engine can provide precise move recommendations and highlight tactics that might be missed by a human player, I believe that the most valuable aspect of watching a chess video is the opportunity to learn from a master player's intuition and approach to the position. In my opinion, seeing the engine's evaluation can be a distraction and take away from the learning experience. Instead, focusing on how the master player thinks about and evaluates the position can provide a deeper understanding of chess principles and strategy.

    Interesting fact - my GM coach was a student of Chebanenko's and he mentioned once that Chebanenko had shown one of his pupil this ..a6 in CK line as a solution to the puil's opening problems due to bad memory :D

    Alex, THE MAIN LINES ARE SO IMPORTANT AND YOUR INSTRUCTIONAL PLAY IE: RATING CLIMBS HAVE BEEN A MUST-WATCH FOR ME. AS YOU HAVE THOSE BASES COVERED, MY VOTE IS TO SEE MORE OF THESE FASCINATING SIDELINES BUT PRESENTED IN YOUR OWN STYLE OF INPUT AND COMMENTS. IT WOULD BE OUTSTANDING TO SEE, PLEASE, AND WITH MUCH THANKS! .. Mike.

    Magnus being Magnus....
    About the Caro sidelines rating climb, for learning porpouses, as I'm new to the Caro I would love if u stick with the same lines with the newest updates, but I guess that for those that have mastered it and probably for you it could be more fun to do other things/lines. We can always rewatch the old ones. Whatever you do would be great dude, keep on the good work.

    Thanks Alex. Great video explaining Magnus' creativity in tweaking an opening that's been around since 1885, the year the Statue of Liberty arrived in New York. Is it any wonder that everybody's afraid of this guy? I look forward to seeing what he does next as he moves beyond chess. Yes, he'll always be welcome at any chess board, but life is more than 64 squares despite what Bobby Fischer says...

    Maybe you would do better by explaining Magnus’ plan for his move and what his point is in making the moves he is playing instead of your annoying rendition of what the main line is…of course this would require you understand what magnus plan really is.

    Why can't you stick to the topic of analyzing the magnus game. You go down the route of what ifs is so distracting and pointless because in the end it did not happen so basically your analyzing a game that you imagined instead of just analyzing the actual game I for one just find it worthless from and instructive point and ended up just going back to watching Daniel again I'm not trying to sound negative but come on man stick to the original topic.

    • @ishaandubey145
      @ishaandubey145 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why so toxic brother, showing possible lines is a part of analysing games,he isn’t showing magnus games, he is trying to teach caro kann through magnus play style, chill down

    • @rodneygreenwell7620
      @rodneygreenwell7620 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ishaandubey145
      The idea is to analyze the Magnus game to see what he does in these situations not go down fantasy lines that have nothing to do with the actual topic because all that does is confuse most people and I could understand if Alex only went down 1 or ever 2 alternative lines be he can't help himself and shows 4 or 5 different lines for nearly every move which again just makes following the actual premise of the video virtually impossible. So to summarize that makes the entire video worthless and that's why I wrote the original comment and that's also why I just unsubscribed because it become a theme unfortunately.
      But I will be the first to admit I learned a lot a great ideas for his London and Karo videos when he wasn't trying to show off so I do sincerely wish him all the best with his channel but it definitely isn't for me and that's why I'm leaving because I watch these videos to actually try and improve my chess game not to see how ims or gms can show off. I already know how good they are . Good luck keeping up with the 5 and 6 line nonsense.
