PJ vs Sure-Trac Dump Trailer Comparison - Scissor Lift vs Telescopic Lift

- PJ DL142 7x14 14k dump trailer versus Sure-Trac 7x14 14k dump trailer. In this video I go through both trailers side-by-side and compare the pros and cons of each. The PJ has a scissor lift and the Sure-Trac has a telescopic lift. The PJ has a lower deck height. They both have the same lift angle. Both charge off the truck. The frame of the PJ is definitely more heavy duty incorporating an 8 inch steel I beam while the Sure-Trac uses a 6" rectangular steel tube. Let me know which you like better and why!

I have a fully loaded sure trac with Telescopic lift & a welded jack. The dealer had sure tracks and Lamar’s both available. I chose by quality & not price. I also use to build dump trailers for a company. Very pleased with my choice. The underneath storage is for shovels, rakes etc.

2021 14' suretrac, used it everyday hauling 4 t0 4.5 ton, up until last week when the tube frame broke completely in two.

Do what you want but depends what using it for
Stay away from that tube frame. Going to hold moisture and rot out. I have a 2019 14’ 4 foot side PJ and I beat the dog shit out of it never had a problem. Think I’ve greased it twice in 5 years that’s it for maintenance. Starting to bubble the paint and rust a bit but as far as performance and reliability I would definitely buy another unless I went to something more custom with upgraded gauges and axles etc but comparing apples to apples I love the PJ. Had a big Tex in the past and a bri mar and pj was by far my favorite

With the sure trac you don't have to worry about a battery to lower it. I can wait a minute to save that head ache.
Why compare two different trailers? Sure trac has all the same options available. Those are probably the only trailers you and or your friend own. What year trailer is that? I own a Sure trac scissor lift, welded jack

Do yourself a favor spend a little more and buy a Lamar.better quality.
It's a toss up as far as I can tell. The PJ is just a little more $.
