Thanks for sharing your experience with Mevo. So many cameras on can use..... I'm checking it out for my podcast. One doesn't need a $1K camera anymore to livestream.
As a still shooter considering ways of integrating behind the scenes video into my process, this system (at less than the cost of another mirrorless) seems like it holds a lot of potential.
Hey I just wanted to say great video. The amount of information that's condensed into 8 snappy minutes is insane. Though I will say a bit more of a "fair balance" would be appreciate i.e. commenting if you ran into any technical difficulties along the way or putting the price upfront. I understand that since this is a meant to be a tightly produced product overview (and paid), that can be hard to do. Personally, the price doesn't *really* surprise me. Nowadays some of the higher end Logitech webcams go for like $300 already. There's definitely a bit of sticker shock to see a price of $1,000 but when you factor in the fact that you're getting 3 cameras and an all-in-one live streaming system it's honestly pretty reasonable. The better question is, what's the alternative? Buying 3 webcams will be cheaper but almost certainly even lower quality and you don't get the streaming app that IMO is the centerpiece of why anyone would even consider this. $1,000 is a lot of money to be sure for a video quality is what I would consider to be baseline acceptable. But I think a lot of commenters are seriously underestimating the value of being able to buy something at a store and start creating videos within an hour. I personally got into watching your videos because my work sent me a Fujifilm to do some basic product photography and it took me like 3 days to figure out how to even work it properly as an absolute beginner. The reason I stumbled across this video was cause I got sent a Sony a7c to create videos and checked here to see if you had any explanations on gamma because I now need to repeat the entire process of learning how to use a new camera. For my application, I wouldn't use the Mevo but I can absolutely see beginners who are serious about making an investment in their hobby or content pick it up to start.
Great video! I was an early adopter of the first couple generations of mevo and they work great ! It’s great to see their purchase by Logitech infused the resources to take the product to the next level!
I need this for zoom. I love the auto-direct function, but wondering if its possible to have all 3 cameras recording at the same time as we would like to show audience and speakers simultaneously in zoom?
I want to use my Mevo cameras to make a band video for my 3pc band. If I use a audio mixer output in stereo for sound, can I input to only one camera of the three, and that audio will remain in the forefront even as I use the other 2 cameras for the bass player and drummer?
Nice commercial, looks like a very good product but logi and I are not friends anymore. They discontinued the most best universal home theater remote, the very best, leaving all of us in a very nasty place. Sorry no thumbs up from me. I know cash is king but cameras are cameras.
I plan to use this for recording live music performances. Does the the software only switch between cameras or can it also do dissolves and fades? And is the tablet used an iPad or an Android??
This question has nothing to do with this video. I'm pretty new to shooting video and I have an XT4 which I learned to use through your channel. When I use auto focus the frame of the shot jumps in and out, like a slight zoom in and then back out. It's horribly annoying and I cannot figure out how to make it stop which has forced me to basically only use manual focus for my TH-cam videos. I shoot by myself from a tripod so this really limits what I can shoot. Is there a solution to this problem for autofocus video shooting? Thanks Pal.
Great video! A question: would this cameras be able to live stream locally to, let's say, an android tv or Amazon FireTv via RTSP or sometning alike? I need to create a "local conference" from one small room to another big room 10mt (2 walls) far... many thanks in advance!
It's all relative I guess.. and I probably should have mentioned that. Yes, $999 is a big purchase. But for ability to mobile live stream in 4K w/ multiple cameras/angles, that sort of setup used to cost a lot more w/ switchers, higher end get. etc.
For what? Multi-camera, integrated streaming setup - seems to be a nice entry option for people that are making some money with this kind of content. If you try to build this yourself it will require a lot of thinkering even if you manage to get it under 1k. If you are looking at this as a toy for fun ... yeah the cost is a but high :)
Love how he calls a $1000 three cam set up "affordable". And don't come back with, affordable versus the tens of thousands of dollars it take to set up a real 3 cam shot, because affordable is relevant to the person purchasing it. No start-up TH-camr can afford this 3 cam setup.
Another sponsored video. Imagine that. Starting to miss the great Fuji unbiased reviews and training. Is this a commercial? or a review? I totally get you have to keep the lights on, but what happened to good old fashioned reviews with negatives and positives.? Logitech and your friends over at C1 have poured so much money into content creators, that we would all be lead to believe they are heaven sent. It's hard to find anything wrong with the Mevo on TH-cam, but outside forums suggest this eco system is mediocre at best. C1 has users fuming over their buy once product, but all is good and cheery in the land of TH-cam. Thumbs down. Oh, but that's gone now to. :(
Thank you for your feedback, and I do seriously appreciate it. New video coming out Thur or Friday of this week that's NOT sponsored at all. Next week flash basics tutorial and upcoming XT5 review. I do have to do sponsored videos from time to time in order to help pay for the gear to review, etc. Just ignored or don't watch the sponsored ones (there's a message at the beginning to give you a warning) Cheers! 👍
Thanks for actually filming this video using the camera! Great review, very informative and helpful

As a stills shooter, I found this to be an informative look into the video process.
on board mic surprisingly good. This is a great video. Answers many questions for beginners. Good work.

I loved the Harmony remote too

Nice channel.
Thanks for the videos
Now we just need to wait for Fuji to sell a box of three XH2's as a "live video streaming" set.

I am Indian your video super
Awesome little setup, thanks for sharing.
You bet
Budget??? Wow! Never thought of $1k as 'budget'!! Guess I am way behind the times!!
Hi , is there any option for little zoom in in this camera ?
Can it shoot in log?
Huh. $999 is not what I would consider within my budget. YMMV.

Well done Pal
Bet it is made of plastic lenses, the colors seems off.

This is no way budget
Hmmm what do you propose instead? You want 3 cameras with these capabilities, show me something more budget than this.
I am genuinely curious what solution for the use case can you recommend that is budget?

For 1k, they look horrible.
That is something the world doesn't need, sorry!
