    Have you found a lens that will give a full wide 3rd to 1st shot through a fence? Something like a 9mm M4/3 might be close 20' back from home plate? Wanting to see the quality on wide and figure out the mounting/fence-hole logistics before I consider adding this to my kit. TY.

    I'm glad that Mevo / Logitech is actually innovating - that's a positive. This camera misses the mark for me for several reasons, starting with the price. For $1,000 it better tickle my pickle, and it doesn't. Low frame rate means the only thing this has a chance at replacing is an existing Mevo product, or a several-generations-old competitors product. Very much like the ability to swap lenses, the problem with that though is now I would have to carry around a bunch of different lenses to match up with the shot that I'm looking to get, and lenses tend to not like brick dust and other things present at baseball fields. I think the Nearstream solution for this is much more elegant, 1/2 the price, and the camera itself is much better.
    There's just not enough here to justify the massive price disparity between Mevo products, much less several competitors already on the market.
    Major swing-and-a-miss from Logitech, imo.

    • @ChainLinkParent
      @ChainLinkParent 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@JasonHoffmanYT For sure, I know the target audience has a large use case set. Even with a use case being primarily indoors, there's much better options already available for cheaper, and with better quality. The more I think about this camera, the more of a head-scratcher it is for me.
      I've now run across another video that broke the internals of the camera down, and they're claiming the sensor isn't a full 4/3... and they state in the video that the sensor itself should be much cheaper than a 'regular' 4/3 sensor because of it, and were expecting a $3-400 price tag based on the components in the camera. Whoops.

    • @ZagatoZee
      @ZagatoZee 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Price per body is on par with the closest direct competitor, but the "eco system cost" is much better here on the Mevo, since you're not having to buy something like an ATEM.
      Some silly compromises have been made however. USB ports that don't have locks, no ethernet port at all, entirely beholden to software to have any utility at all - meaning an operational life span can only be trusted as 3 years. A great sounding product for the exact target audience, but the compromises seriously limit the market that would be interested in it.

    It is a great product, I am looking forward to testing it myself.
    The price though is a bit tough to swallow, since it is almost the same as Blackmagic’s Micro Studio Camera and twice of a used GH5. I know these do not come with a wireless option, but still…
    I am very curious to see how tight the Core cams are latency-wise, also how (if there even is any) well the autofocus performs and how reliable the wireless solution is in real urban spaces (what router would be best for the core -pun intended- of a cempletely mobile multicam setup).

    Question: Have you tested whether the Logitech memo core can be transformed into a full-fledged camcorder with HDMI/USB-C out, a shotgun mic, an LED panel, and video over ethernet with PoE all at the same time, considering it has two USB-C ports and possibly full-blown specs including Bluetooth, audio in/out, Wi-Fi, USB storage, SD card storage, and a 3.5mm jack? If so, this could potentially be the coolest product, as you could attach almost any lens within reason and mobile walk around with it, capturing the action in real-time while someone else receives the feed via video over Ethernet or Wi-Fi, with SD card backup. Additionally, an individual could use OBS or Mevo software to switch among any cameras, essentially creating a full consumer-level video recording system with multiple previews. Wouldn't that be awesome?
    Another big question is, while I highly doubt it, I'm wondering if Logitech actually listened to one of the emails I sent them. We probably all sent similar letters, and that's how they got this product going.
