I don’t know how but at some point the algorithm stopped showing me your videos. It’s been at least a good few years since I last watched your videos but what a refreshing sight to see you in my inbox. So nice to see you still at it after all this time. Warms Regards from New Jersey
Thank you. Yes, it's very frustrating knowing some subscribers think I have stopped making videos. I've never stopped... and still making videos on my canadian studmuffin channel also.
Davey Jones was actually on the Beatles first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show Larry and when he saw the Beatles and the fan reaction he thought, man I gotta get into this! Bob.
Nice collection. I have never seen Help, MMT, Anthology series and the recent Get Back documentary. They are all on my ’to watch’ list. I don't have any Beatle related DVDs but I used to have the VHS of The Compleat Beatles, John Lennon Live in NY and a cheap 2 hour compilation of concerts and interviews. Also in the 80s an Australian music program, Rage, had a Beatles special so I stayed up and recorded that. The program went chronologically and also included solo music videos. The Compleat Beatles is still my favourite.
"The Beatles" grew up loving the "Goon" comedies. They were produced by George Martin, and Richard Lester later transitioned the "Goons" from radio to TV.
The Beatles First US Visit is worth getting. It's put out by Apple and has their 1st two Ed Sullivan appearances. Great sound and picture. It has documentary footage before, between, and after the shows. It's like a nonfiction version of A Hard Day's Night. Eight Days a Week is available as a Blu ray in case you want to upgade and not watch it too. I was making breakfast while watching. Did I miss you showing the Get Back documentary?
Thanks for going through these…how disappointing Shea Stadium was shown in the theaters before 8 Days A Week but had to be left off the documentary release. Mainly right now I have the first two movies and Anthology. Also I’d include the Good Ol’ Freda documentary, which I love. This convinced me I should eventually get Magical Mystery Tour like yours because of all the stuff in it…I’ve seen it, and it’s fine but one of those I’m less likely to watch. Love Yellow Submarine, but right now I don’t have it. ‘1’ I need, as well as Get Back.
I'm always appreciative of the effort you make on your asmr channel. I know your body isn't always up for it in regard to your condition. Anyway I hope you keep the channel, it's relaxing and fun, especially when the Beatles are the subject. I'm subscribed to Sam, but haven't seen a vid pop up on his channel for quite a while. Hope he's well
I have all The Beatles stuff also I wish they would put out The Anthology on Blu-Ray. I saw that in the theatre its terrible Sgt. Pepper that is. Great video. The only bootleg I have is Let It Be the movie.
I have a budget DVD called the Beatles Around the World with rather poor quality reproductions of the Washington concert and the Japanese concert at the Budokan. The material is so good I'm delighted to have it. The Beatles First US Visit The Maysles Brothers documentary which is fantastic and I can't believe I had never seen it before, I just got it last month. This is the best movie at capturing Beatlemania, I think it is comparable to A Hard Day's Night. I'm rather surprised you haven't got Get Back, I'm sure you've seen it, but an essential document of the Beatles at work, I'm very happy to have it on Blu Ray.
I have all of these DVD and Blu-Rays but the UK Blu-Ray of A Hard Day's didn't come with that booklet. I do have Help! in the deluxe DVD box set, but I'm not sure if this was ever available in North America. This is a great big box, 9 inches wide, 12 inches tall and 2 inches deep. It includes a 60 page hardback book, a replica of the original script, 8 replica US theatrical lobby cards, a poster as well as the two discs, one containing the film and the other with all the extras. I also have The First U.S. Visit on DVD. This is an official Apple release which came out before the full Ed Sullivan Shows DVD. It includes film of the debut concert at the Washington Coliseum.
@@ianz9916 There were newspaper write-ups about it at the time. It was apparently closed to only selected guests, not open to the general public. And one critic, who wasn't there, wrote derisively about the "wrong notes" and blah, blah, blah. It is impossible for those not alive and aware at the time how immediate and immense "The Beatles" impact on the US. The closest video evidence showing that are the complete "Ed Sullivan" shows. And the evidence increased during the second and third shows. All of a sudden the singers were singing "Beatles" songs, and everyone else was trying to find a way into the "act". Those shows are a MUST-SEE in part because they are the entire shows, including commercials, not only "The Beatles" segments, and in part to see what TV was like at the time. And the "Ed Sullivan Show" had the best produced sound, and most modern sets, on all of TV.
Good morning sir I love your Beatles blu-ray, and Dvd collection I have most of what you showed here except for The Beatles Anthology and the Ed Sullivan performances I hope that those come out on Blu-ray I also don’t have the Sergeant Pepper movie, but honestly, I’am not interested in getting a copy of it because it is not The Beatles and because, even though I have never listen to it I must say that everyone I know who has seen it shares your opinion about the fact that it is not a very good movie Anyways, God bless you and your family and I will hear you on the next video

Another great vid, Larry. With the uncertainty of an extended cut of Get Back, will you eventually get a hold of the Blu Ray set that has come out of Get Back.? I got it just in case Disney takes it off the channel ever, but most likely they won’t. Lol
When you watch the "Ed Sullivan" shows, you see the impact "The Beatles" had, and it gets bigger with the second, and third, appearances. Suddenly the singers are singing "Beatle" songs, and the comedians are getting AWFUL in their poorly-disguised ridicule. Nearly all the guests get in on the "act". And Cilla Black is on one of the shows!
I love it, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I don't think it can be remastered to the excellent degree that AHDN was, hence why the blu ray we do have isn't that impressive lol. Plus it's just not regarded as an era-defining time capsule like AHDN is

Criterion has released "A Hard Day's Night" in 4K (which also includes Blu-Ray disc).
Nice Beatles DVD and blu- ray collection you got there Larry Beatles are always great 👍✌

I thought from the thumb nail that you might be holding up a ‘Secret Squirrel’ DVD. But alas it’s ‘Sgt Pepper’. Oh well, maybe next time... 😊
Where is let it be and shea stadium????
I have Get Back on blu-ray. There was never a Shea Stadium DVD.

"The Beatles" performed their first US concert at Carnegie Hall. It is so forgot that there is no known set list. That in DC was their second.
@@jnagarya519 Certainly forgotten on the DVD sleeve.

I 💘 Tomato soup.
What other Beatles albums have the Penney Lane song?
Just Magical Mystery Tour. It was a single.

Nope... I don't think I'll ever buy the Get Back blu ray unless they release it again with bonus material.
@@LarryGravesCanadianStudmuffin it is a shame about the extended cut isn’t it.? Lol, I hope that happens one day.

Qual bluray ou dvd dos Beatles que é show ( não tem atuação, documentários)?
No idea what you are asking, sorry.
@@LarryGravesCanadianStudmuffin how bluray looks like a concert, more live, musics and less story about them
😃
I'm still waiting for them to add Help to the Criterion Collection...
