Together the team face a horse that has been ripped apart, a 170kg pig struggling to walk, and the reality of working with incredibly limited vet resources!

Lisa was therefor what she thought was for a vacation! I’m glad they made her cross that small stream by herself…oh my goodness her white tennis shoes 👟!! She knew FIJI didn’t have medical equipment yet she is complaining! She can be so irritating! Good luck Dr Chris!
I think the reason Chris Brown was in a bad mood was because he was dreading spending the week with someone who, in his eyes, was always criticizing him and telling him that his way of doing things is better.
To be perfectly honest with you I sympathize with him as it is not pleasant to have someone constantly breathing down your neck and telling you that what you are doing is wrong, especially as it has been proven he is one of the best vets in the business.

Im from Fiji, and I was really grateful when I finally heard about Chris and his Dad who came here to help out. Quick update, we now have a new vet clinic beside the SPCA here in Nadi, and everything including the facilities and so on has definitely improved, especially cleanliness. Vinakavakalevu!

OMG..best episode so far!! I love to hear the vets admit that they are out of there comfort zone.. I hope that the people who live in figi get the help that they deserve for their animals and I will definitely forward this to try to help spread the word good luck and thank you vets for all your hard work
This should make people think about how fortunate they are compared to those in Fiji. I can't complain knowing that where I live I have it made compared to them. Thank the Lord for the Australian team for helping these beautiful animals for these people. Without them these people wouldn't have a chance.

I felt so bad for that poor pup waking up during surgery..😥
They didn't start surgery when the pup was waking up. They were testing how much anesthesia they needed for the pup to sleep but not to overdose.

I have a tip for the docs on dealing with horses. If you bring the horse's head around towards you, they can't run away and they can't run you over. They can only move sideways, away from you.
I've been without in my life. But this really re-defines what it is like to not have what you need.

Chris and his dad reminds me of my dad and I after a while. Not sure I could last a week straight with mine. We are too much a like. My ex mother in law had a chiwaha dog and it was so fat we think it died of being obese. Sad she wouldn't listen to us. Love this show!❤

Chris has a wonderful father, he raised his son to be a carer, and ambassador of animals! What a great legacy to pass to your son! The fact that he saw the need in Fiji, and went there to help! I'm assuming it's probably pro-bono work! I wonder how the process of that works...does the state of Fiji pay him? Interesting...
Idk if you're still wondering, but they mentioned it in passing a few times in the video- this was "volunteer" work, i.e. no paycheck. Debatable whether the trip there or even the transportation around the islands was paid for or if they had to fork over the fees themselves.

Chris seemed actually angry with patience a couple of times( ironic?), which was kind of surprising just because I've not ever noticed it before. Good for him: human after all.😊🙃
He was also a little snippy with the family who got a mini pig, 5he young children were complaining one of the piglets was too noisy and he said he thought the same about them. He always advocates for the animals.

No surprise that Dr Chris took after his father as a vet and Dr Lisa was a trooper. It would be nice if the Fijians were able to attend vet university so that they can have their own doctors, not just volunteers as well. (And working with a parent... nope. Been there, done that, burnt that T-shirt. I have a bit of sympathy for Dr Chris!)
The operation is the standard procedure with no fancy equipment and for some is strange

I hope more people can bring equipment and other things to Figi to help the animals. That would be amazing. If I were trained and had the equipment, I would go there help as well.

Many doctors etc. aint gonna get any money from the job, companies etc. So when they are using time in Fiji, its in their little holiday. And If you have a family maybe they would like you to spend some time with them insted of traveling to do more work
