Dr Brown is one in a million. This coming from a retired veterinary nurse of many years who worked with many of the best ever. He is compassionate, determined, dedicated & takes his oath absolutely seriously. He's a great guy too. Just an amazing doctor & very good man.
I have been bingeing on Bondi Vet videos for a couple of days now, please keep them coming because this show is Incredible. Thank you for sharing it with the world.
Jeanette was so sweet when she put her hand on Chris’s face like that, it meant more than a lot of words could, and he was honest when she asked if that last bit was hard. It was still professional, but there wasn’t a need to put on a strong front of “I’m a vet, it’s all okay.” It was emotional and heartbreaking but also really wonderful and just them two (and Bindi) fighting it out together. Nice to see a softer side sometimes. But *please, please spay that dog.* She went through a night of trauma and pain and surgery unnecessarily, (she’s at higher risk for certain cancers now, too) and a puppy died unnecessarily... not to mention we already have way too many abandoned and homeless puppies. It was lovely, but I really hope she’s spayed.
I believe that if they have to do a cesarean section, they have to spay the dog. It is likely the uterus will rupture. Sometimes they wait a month to allow healing and blood loss and such. But I do believe c sections on dogs are final births.
When I get a dog I pray I can find a Vet like Dr. Chris and Dr. Lisa! I love how you take such good care of pets and wild animals alike. God bless you both and your teams! Love from Texas, USA!

We are lucky here in San Antonio Texas to have several vets who have dedicated their lives to helping care for animals whose owners may not have many resources but more than make up for it in love & compassion for animals of all kinds. Unfortunately we also have real concerns when culture collides with resources with stray animals being a norm in some areas and a very large feral cat community. There are always more who need help than we have resources even in one of the largest cities in America.

We had a long haired shepherd...the most intelligent dog I’ve ever had...I could teach him something once he had it forever. Max weighed 125lbs in his prime. He also loved to fetch branches as well as small boulders which he would drop on our feet to throw for him. We called it the Max Dance. He knew at least several hundred words and was an accomplished food thief. He was protective but incredibly gentle, especially with baby beasties, human or otherwise. It’s been well over twenty years since he died..at 14...and I still miss him.
So sorry. Such a cruel joke, how different the lifespans are, but they're so wonderful we deal with it anyhow. I lost my beloved Jack Russell a couple of months ago - she was 17, honest to god. She was a rescue from 6 months old. Literally my baby. And I still miss the Aussie Shephard mix I lost over a decade ago. Smartest dog I ever knew, and a fiendish sense of humor. She loved to herd things. Anything. Ducks. Kittens. Children. Especially children. If it could be rounded up, it was happening. She thought human puppies were her personal toys. After my grandmother started losing her sight, that dog taught herself to lead her around. If she'd had thumbs she'd've ruled the world. 💜
It's amazing how stoic animals are about expressing physical pain and discomfort. They probably do that instinctively because in the wild, if they show any form of weakness, they're goners.

One of my dogs, an American Staffordshire mix, was bit by a rattlesnake last year. I was 10-20 feet away and weeding my garden while my dog played in the grass. Saw her leap up in the air and told her to leave it and go play elsewhere. Never saw nor heard the snake. Maybe 20 minutes later, she was standing still with one paw up and looking poorly so I inspected her feet, didn't see anything, and brought her inside. A wound on her cheek/neck was found and she was rushed to the emergency vet. She became more alert on the ride as it was quickly getting dark so the lights attracted her. She wasn't dying or in dire straits, fortunately, just very down. Her neck swelled to a big ball like a pelican. She got anti-venom and stayed overnight to watch for negative reactions but she came home the next day and was fine, though she looked weird with her shaved, swollen neck. She was bit in a rather good spot, though, as she has a very fleshy, rolly neck. We got her and her brother vaccinated for snake bites.
@@kadianae yep. Basically you expose them to the venom over time so their bodies build up an intolerance and won't be so responsive or deadly if they get bit.
I was about to call bullshit on the vaccine but then I googled it. I'm surprised such a thing exists. But whatever works I cant imagine just watching your dog play like normal one min and the next they're literally dying from a bite. I love snakes but I'm glad we dont have a large population of venomous were I live. I'm happy your dog was ok.
Poor little Bindi. So much pain and distress. She obviously cannot be a dog for breeding, she should have been fixed, but glad they are keeping the pups, just hope they get all 3 fixed! My dog got bit by a snake once, got her in the neck too. I rushed to the ER so fast I'm surprised I didn't get a ticket! Than.k goodness she made a full recovery
Any reason they didn’t just take Bindi into the clinic for an emergency c-section in the first place? It’s common knowledge that Norwich Terriers have very difficult births...it seems to me that perhaps all of the puppies could have been saved if this would have been done FIRST?
I read another comment saying that because of the c-section she is at a higher risk for several diseases such as cancer. I don't know if it's true, but if it is I would understand why they would try it natural first.
That's choice was most likely one of cost, and was probably made by her callous, uncaring owner, who is breeding a small-breed dog known for birth complications with a stockier breed to begin with, and clearly sees her dog as a luxury possession, not a living being.
It was probably 5 a.m. in the morning when the final scenes were filmed, but Dr. Chris looked like it was 5 p.m. on any given day. I would have looked like something the cat dragged in out of the rain if I'd been up all night and into the early morning hours in that stressful situation.
I have five rescue dogs. 4 are small breeds. All five are fixed. No breeding. No risk. I got them, I fixed them. Period. For their well being and health. I have 4 rescue cats. Same deal for them. All are fixed. They come to me homeless and hopeless. They live the rest of their lives in love and pampering. For however long they have left in the world it will be a good life. I made them a promise when I accepted them. I keep my promises. Rescue horses, dogs, cats, a snake, among a hundred others. 💗💗

I want to move to Australia so bad just to have Chris as our vet!
Yall are such wonderful vets! God bless yall!
Massive credit to the foster parent of Bobby for bringing her when she did and making sure that Bobby gets the care that she needs with the snake bite. You can tell this lady really cares about Bobby and I feel her as she does want Bobby to have a forever home asap. Please adopt animals, not shop them.
I love this for the animals and the good that they bring to some many creatures, including humans, but man I just have to say it... Chris is one very good looking fellow.. heart and all

You can vaccinate for that?!?
@@kadianae yep. Basically you expose them to the venom over time so their bodies build up an intolerance and won't be so responsive or deadly if they get bit.
I was about to call bullshit on the vaccine but then I googled it. I'm surprised such a thing exists. But whatever works I cant imagine just watching your dog play like normal one min and the next they're literally dying from a bite. I love snakes but I'm glad we dont have a large population of venomous were I live. I'm happy your dog was ok.
@@kadianae For rattlesnakes, not for anything like coral snakes though. (Jan Griffiths).
THE PUPPIES ARE SO ADORABLE
BONDI'S VETS ARE AMAZING!! I LOVE THEM ALL. 😊
it was sad that bindi's second puppy did not survive but it is great that bindi's first and third puuppies survived
Good luck and get well.....bless you all...moms included❤️❤️
@L Gempet What I’m thinking is that it was just too late in the night, and the animal hospital was closed. It takes a while to open it maybe?
I read another comment saying that because of the c-section she is at a higher risk for several diseases such as cancer. I don't know if it's true, but if it is I would understand why they would try it natural first.
Less stress on the mom if she gives birth at home.
That's choice was most likely one of cost, and was probably made by her callous, uncaring owner, who is breeding a small-breed dog known for birth complications with a stockier breed to begin with, and clearly sees her dog as a luxury possession, not a living being.
@C Lee ultimately it's up to the owners, and this owner seems like she makes bad choices to begin with.
It was probably 5 a.m. in the morning when the final scenes were filmed, but Dr. Chris looked like it was 5 p.m. on any given day. I would have looked like something the cat dragged in out of the rain if I'd been up all night and into the early morning hours in that stressful situation.
Vets are angels x
18:12. The face he made was great 😂
I started tearing up in almost all of your videos
😢😭
So cute those Lucky New Puppies
THE PUPPYS TONGUE SO CUTE
I have five rescue dogs. 4 are small breeds. All five are fixed. No breeding. No risk. I got them, I fixed them. Period. For their well being and health. I have 4 rescue cats. Same deal for them. All are fixed. They come to me homeless and hopeless. They live the rest of their lives in love and pampering. For however long they have left in the world it will be a good life. I made them a promise when I accepted them. I keep my promises. Rescue horses, dogs, cats, a snake, among a hundred others. 💗💗
I want to move to Bondi! Love all of you from the 🇺🇸
When that bell went in his mouth I held my breath😳
