I've been looking for ways to use these rivnuts without having to buy the special tool to do it. I've seen loads of vids on just using nuts and bolts and spanners that do the job but your vid has the simplest version yet. Great vid and very clever. Thanks.
@Techy Hunter I have actually bought a Teng tools rivnut kit and am very disappointed in it. Two of the threaded applicators have stripped out after only a couple of uses.
Good luck taking off a partially installed riv-nut. It must be fully seated with the backside rolled over. If not-The first time you tighten something on to it the riv-nut will bottom out and that allows a gap to form which MEANS: When it’s time to loosen it -the riv-nut will spin spin spin. NEVER do it Half assed..
Yall arent squeezing it with your man hand.. fuck sake. Theyre only as tight as you can squeeze it.. and those hand guns will pull the threads slick out of the rivnut and if that isnt too tight then the rivnut was shit anyway,. Trick is to use the hand you beat off with most. Or in your cases the hand you beat your boyfriends off with.. thats your strong hand..
Um. Try squeezing harder.. use your strenff.. back in the old days theyd have to heat up each rivet by hand on the ground level then when they got red hot theyd have to chuck it up to another dude on the floor above and get it to the last guy before it cooled down too much, those guys making the skyscrapers back then had to use the strenff of the lawd jeebus to beat tbose things in once they got up to the 15th floor.. lol
I like that, good idea my friend.
i think , it´s a pretty awesome!
Will the mandrels not screw into the rivet gun?

Take my advice, buy the tool. You'll save time and effort if you're doing more than just 1 or 2.
@@brendanlenane2685 Doing it WRONG is Operator Error, not bad tools.
@@davidjames1063 yeah I went with my gut and bought the proper tool. No regrets about that now.
What size rib it will that handle?
Super😊
Clever. Too bad it's ONLY useful for ONE size.
Smart innovation
😯
I wonder if I can fit a 4-40 in that?

Don't even bother with a cheap rivit gun unless you want to take out stuck rivets everytime you use it

Keşke videoyu aralıksız ekleseydiniz, böylece daha inandırıcı olurdu. Çok saçma, uygulanması mümkün değil.
