Not a farmer. Not a rancher. Will never be either, but I still find this stuff fascinating. Never stop learning.

EXCELLENT VIDEO!!! I never investigated Texas farming. A lot different! Not having the rain though out the year is like not having snow on Christmas. They miss that wonderful smell of rain and the smells after a rain. But, they also don’t have that Arctic blast of cold weather every season. I can’t imagine living in hot climate all year around! Thank you for sharing!

pretty cool that although your farming methods are different, you have the same concerns and know what questions to ask. Interesting topic on water management. Something we don't have to consider as a little 100 acre hobby farm. I like the view of the grapevines as far as the eye could see. Don't know why but I didn't expect cotton or grapes to be grown in the southwest like that.

Many of the Central Texas great wines are a blend of West Texas and Texas High Plains grapes. This gives wine a fine character.
West Texas upland cotton is a huge production area...the world's largest.
